Reworked Wukong's Lore: Deep within the Ionian forest, dwells a vastayan tribe known as the Shimon. These apelike creatures are a wise, cautious people, and as pacifists, chose to build their society away from landwalkers, cultivating their society atop the tallest trees in Ionia. The Shimon see life as an evolutionary climb to wisdom, thus upon death, the Shimon believe they become stones, returning to the soil to begin the climb of life again. During the Rune Wars, a Rune Stone fallen from the sky, and droped deep within the plagued Jungle of Ionia, a group of Shimon were empowered by the magic of the Rune Stone that emitted magic to the wildlife around them, which gave them the abilities to think and feel like humans, Their Elder thought they could harness the power of the Rune Stone to give them all eternal life. So the Elder performed magical ritual, But the ritual was interrupted by a fellow shimon named "Kong" who is just 3 years old, then the Rune Stone explode into millions of piece and all of it's energy went in to Kong and gained all the power of the rune stone, the Elder was angry but after his anger was settled, he realize that the ritual would make them all die instead of giving them eternal life, so the Elder forgive Kong.

4 years later, even at an early age, Kong was different than his fellow Shimons. Impulsive, clumsy, and fun-loving, Kong was a constant thorn in his village’s side, he said that he wanted to be the strongest living thing in Ionia. When war came to Ionia, Kong was engrossed by the sounds and colors of the battles below – they awoke something true and undeniable in him, a calling which he believed to be "Warrior Instinct". Kong left his tribe to prepare for what he knew to be his destiny.

Kong needs to get stronger in order to be what he called "Monkey King", he decide to journey to Ionia and fight with humans, but he has went the wrong way, he went to Freljord with his handmade boat, before he go, he stole books about Martial Arts, Magic, and Body Training from the Elder, He was training on his boat because the Journey was long, he eat fish for his meal during the 3 years on water, when he finally gotten his foot on freljord, he was cold so he fought a tiger for it's skin, he soon lose his way in the blizzard, he gotten himself to a volcano so he could warm himself up and Ornn was there forging weapons, Kong was fiddling around without being noticed by Ornn, when Kong got his hands on the Weapon he likes which is a Staff that could stretch and would make music when it strike, Ornn saw Kong when he grabs the weapon, Ornn wasn't mad, he was confused, he only wanna know how Kong didn't get himself killed by the lava of the volcano, Kong says he doesn't know so Ornn tested him, and found out his Stone Skin due to the power of the Rune Stone inside of him, Ornn give him the weapon because he thought that he would help him fight his siblings who took physical forms and Kong did being a meat shield this whole time and obtain the Staff eventually, Kong finally found a map which was thrown away by Ezreal and he realize that he have been going the wrong way this whole entire time, so he said his goodbye to Ornn and got back to Ionia in just a week.

Back to Ionia, Kong couldn't understand the human society not even their language, but he got help from Ahri, who's also a Vastayan, throughout Ahri's help, Kong could finally understand the books about how to create magic that he stole from his Elder, Kong was able to create clouds that fly really fast and could actually cause damage, Ahri was confused about why she can't charm Kong and steal his life, Kong doesn't understand love and Ahri doesn't understand what's actually loving someone felt like, so they fell in love with each other eventually, it's like Kong has ended the hunger inside of Ahri, Kong went fighting with other humans and he always learn something by winning the fight, but, One Day...Kong ran across a goggle-wearing man meditating in a glade. Kong challenged him to a fight. The man stood up and knocked Kong to the ground in a single motion before returning to his meditations. Kong had challenged many opponents, but he’d never experienced anything like this. For weeks, Kong came back to the glade every day and attempted to defeat the warrior. Though stronger and faster than the begoggled man, Kong was outmaneuvered at every turn. Eventually, Kong decided to try something he’d never attempted in his many years of life: humility. He kneeled before the man and humbly asked for training. Without missing a beat, the swordsman asked a question of Kong: why do you fight?

Kong realize that he has never thought of this, it's just an instinct inside of him. He could have stayed in his peaceful society, but something inside him had demanded otherwise. Kong asked the same question of the man, who only replied that he did not fight anymore. Kong spent the next several days sitting in the glade with the warrior, pondering the question.

The man saw Kong’s change of heart and quiet determination. He introduced himself as Master Yi, and agreed to train Kong in the next 7 years virtues of discipline, patience and combat, which Yi called Wuju. Kong’s technique and precision improved with each lesson as Yi channeled Kong’s propensity for recklessness and impulsiveness into a lethally swift and surprising fighting style. The two grew to respect each other over the course of this training, yet Kong sensed a deep sadness in Yi that even Kong’s most hilarious pranks couldn’t lighten.

More than that, he still hadn’t found an answer to Yi’s question. Maybe if he’d known what Yi had once fought for, he could answer the question for himself. Kong made Yi a proposition. The two would engage in a friendly spar. If Kong won, Yi would have to tell him what he’d fought for. If Yi won, Kong wouldn’t speak for an entire year.

Yi eagerly accepted.

Due to the training with Yi, Wukong was able to trick Yi, and he was faster and stronger, Kong stunned Yi to the ground with just a single strike with his staff, Yi smiled at Kong’s cleverness. The smile disappeared, however, as he explained why he had given up the sword. Yi was once an integral part of Ionia’s defense against Noxus during the invasion. Yi and his disciples had been so effective at meeting the Noxians in combat that the invaders had eventually turned to chemical warfare. Yi blamed himself for the hundreds of lives lost to their Zaunite scientist’s chem-bombs. No longer able to answer why he fought, he banished himself to the glade to meditate upon the question.

Kong had come from a people who chose to stay out of the world’s fights, but all that did was leave those who might be less equipped to face those threats alone. Kong admired that, whatever the outcome, Yi had fought to protect others. Kong realized he wished to do the same.

Through Kong’s eyes, Yi saw that he had been running from the truth: that, as much as he may try to deny it, he was a warrior and his people needed his help. A thankful Yi accepted him as the brightest students of Wuju and give him 2 more names: first name "Wu" that stands for Wuju, and "Son" as his last name, now his name is "Son Wukong". Wukong stronger than ever proved his strength against the Noxian Invaders, he was now known as the "Monkey King"
