#Abilities

~~ ~~ The Kgal's unfolding At level 6, will be allowed to upgrade one of your abilities permanently, changing the way you play.

Passive: Scorching Mucus Every 8 seconds your next basic attack become ranged, hitting your main target for 10 / 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 / 40 / 45 / 50 (+ 80% of AD) physical damage and all nearby enemies around your main target for 4 / 8 / 12 / 16 / 20 / 24 / 28 / 32 / 36 (+ 20% of AD) physical damage.

The Kgal's unfolding: replace your basic attacks entirely by this ability, causing your every basic attack to be Spit Lava.

Q: Iron Melting Presence Engulf yourself in harmful aura for 6 seconds. Nearby enemies suffers 10 / 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 (+ 15% of AD) physical damage every second and get their armor reduced by 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6% for 2 seconds. Armor reduction stacks up to 5 times.

The Kgal's unfolding: reduce cooldown of this ability by 50%, increase range of this ability by 50% and increase damage done by 100%. Works after cooldown reduction.

W: Flamebreath Channel up to 2 seconds, breathing out flames in a cone, dealing 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 / 60 (+ 20% of AD) physical damage to enemies in your flames ever 0.5 seconds. You can't move while channeling, but can change direction at which you are breathing out flames.

The Kgal's unfolding: increase range of this ability by 50% and allow you to move while channeling. Also, increase your movement speed by 15% while channeling.

E: Iron Tail Hit targeted enemy with your tail, deal 50 / 80 / 110 / 140 / 170 (+ 60% of AD) physical damage to him and knock him back.

The Kgal's unfolding: increase range of this ability by 100% and instead of knocking back your target, you will pull him to yourself.

| Range: 300 | | Knock back distance: 250 | | Mana cost: 50 / 55 / 60 / 65 / 70 | | Cooldown: 12 seconds |

R: Infernal Fissures Spit out massive lava ball into targeted area. After 1.5 seconds delay, it will hit targeted area creating a fire field, dealing 60 / 80 / 100 (+ 70% of AD) physical damage instantly and 30 / 40 / 50 (+ 20% of AD) physical damage every second. Fire field lasts for 4 seconds.

The Kgal's unfolding: increase range of this ability by 50%, radius of this ability by 50% and enemies hit by initial hit become stunned for 1 second.

#Story

When Runeterra just formed, the first living creatures, while planet was still hostile, filled with lava, smokes and ashes, were Kgals. Living in lava, eating molten rock, these creatures were as vicious as the oceans and rivers of lava. Nevertheless, as planet cooled, these creatures descended down into earth, slowly moving closer and closer to the core. For millions and millions of years, they lived there without interacting with the upper world.

Yet, after all this time living deep down bellow, one of them suddenly emerged from the core of the earth. Not only that, he managed to survive relatively cold upper world and even have shown sentient mind. Pretty smart, as a wild beast, he looks way worse than he is. Curious, impatient, even a little bit friendly, however he befriended the wrong guy. He met Brand, felt a connection and was something like tamed by him.

Really cool concept. One thing is he doesn't really synergize well. Like Kindred's Q and Q synergize. Tahm's passive, Q, and W synergize, and Velkoz's passive and W. Find something that gives him a combo and synergizes him. Also his passive is too similar to khazix.

sounds more like a mage/fighter than a tank. He simply doesn't have enough inate durability or CC, and too much damage, to be a tank.

God the ability names need to go. Seriously, tail whip? Huge lava ball? Constructive criticism here. Change his his passive name to something like "slag." ults new name can be like molten fissure.

Amazing idea except I feel like either his Q or W should scale with AP so building AD wouldn't be so good (like Rek'Sai's Q is AP or Wukong's W). His passive also seems like it would need a slight nerf and maybe some kit synergy, like said in a previous comment.

I am not sure. I didn't want to make hybrid champion. Can't he stay AD?

Just because he has one ability that scales with AP doesn't make him hybrid. You usually use a different scaling on an ability to gate his power, especially on utility abilities (stuns, debuffs, buffs, mobility) There is also the weird aspect of flames dealing physical damage.

Does launching R on enemies, using Q and then W on them for massive AOE damage from three sources, while melting their armor away counts as synergy?

Not really, that is just a rotation. Synergy would mean that his abilities interact with each other and over new ways to combine them for additional effects. Interactions with burning enemies, interactions with burning ground or an interesting passive mechanic, that changes how you play this champion come to mind.

Overall nice idea, but not my cup of coffee.

Love the idea, but name changing is a good idea. My suggestions are - Ultimate Upgrade --> The Kgal's unfolding Spit Lava --> Molten Metabolism Iron Melting Aura --> Scorching Presence Tail Whip --> Fury Whip Huge Lava Ball --> The Blazing Inferno Just my ideas for names ._.
