Upgradable Turrets
an easy way to make towers threatening is to have them level up whenever they get a takedown (kill/assist) and as they level up they have increased damage, armor, mage resist, health, and new abilities. but at same time they are worth more gold upon destruction.
level 2/5/9/13: Overheat. Warm-Up gains an extra 1/2 tick. (+20% damage) level 3/7/10/14: Rapid Fire. increased rate of fire. (+25% atk spd) level 4/8/12/15: Barbed Shots. increased armor piercing from Ohmwrecker. (+5% armor piercing) level 6/11/16: Multi-Shot. the turret can target one additional target at the same time. (+1 target)
upon a level up a tower is worth 100 more gold when destroyed. the turret will not go above level 16. these upgrades are both good and bad. cause while the turrets will be worth more goal they become more dangerous and make diving more risky. giving the players the choice of either destroying them while they are weak and get little gold or wait for them to Upgrade and make them worth more gold but make them stronger. at the same time this encourages players to get the last hit on enemies since if the turret got the kill it would be an assist for the player.
