Vyndicus, The Tidal God

A rare titan of the seas, Vyndicus is viewed as a god of old. Vyndicus is seemingly as old as Maokai or Tahm Kench, but in reality nobody knows how long it has been alive. Millennia ago an ancient civilization under the water strived for great power, and once they caught hold of a glimpse of Vyndicus and the strength it possessed the civilization agreed that it would need to capture the titan for their own uses. After a hundred years had passed away the civilization finally completed a device capable of restraining Vyndicus and harnessing its power. A group of warriors concocted a plan to lure the titan into position and lock it down. All they needed was a form of bait as their finishing piece, which after studying it for years they learned that Vyndicus was a form of protector for the defenseless sea life. Knowing that it would intervene in conflict against helpless marine life they gathered a large array of creatures and began massacring them. The titan sensed their distress and rushed in to protect them, but the warriors let loose the trap and slammed down an ancient stone helmet worked with magic runes that bound the helm to the creature. Shortly after the helmet fell down five stone rings latched around the titan and held it in place. Chains were linking each ring to the helmet and channeling all the energy to a central point. The peaceful titan had been successfully enslaved. 1,000 years ago due to corrosion caused by water currents the runes inside the helmet thinned out just enough to grant Vyndicus control of its thoughts again, leaving the dream-like state it had been trapped in for thousands of years. Vyndicus cried out for help and was soon aided by Kra'Abrul who cast a spell upon the encasement allowing Vyndicus to regain movement. Though still toting around the heavy helmet and rings Vyndicus had achieved freedom, and was entertained with conversation from Kra'Abrul who spoke of his experience and personal growth. The peaceful colossus decided to forget about its prison, and relish in the harmony of the ocean once again. Now resistant to any contraption designed to control it thanks to the heavy stone helmet, and able to channel its power to the central point, Vyndicus is a terror to behold when threatened, only attacking when neccesary. To this day Vyndicus feeds off of the ever-changing dreams and hopes of those around it, aiding all who are threatened.

Well that's the basic idea anyway. Protective peaceful creature, but also extremely powerful. Strong conviction to destroy entities such as the Voidborn or any cold-blooded killers. AKA I have no freaking idea what to make its lore. Maybe an evil entity is better suited?

Passive: Ancient Stonework Vyndicus gains 0.25 Bonus Armor and Magic Resist for every unit it kills.

Vyndicus charges up its basic attack over time, gaining increased range over 5 seconds, up to 500 increased range. Charge time is reduced by 2% for every 5% Bonus Attack Speed.

While within 200 units Vyndicus attacks with its stone helmet, ramming its head into enemies, this attack deals 50% increased damage. While further than 200 units Vyndicus attacks with a laser burst, dealing less damage but hitting all enemies in the path


Q: Hydro Stream | Cooldown 14 | Cost 65/70/75/80/85 | Range 900 Vyndicus shoots out a stream of pressurized water in a target direction for 1/1.25/1.5/1.75/2 seconds, damaging enemies and pushing them back. Enemies can block this projectile from hitting enemies behind them. Deals 120/170/220/270/320 (+40/55/70/85/100% Ability Power) over the duration and pushes enemies up to 400 units away, Vyndicus may move at 50% speed while using this but cannot change the direction of the stream.


**W: Aqua Sphere | Cooldown 22/21/20/19/18 | Cost 70 | Range 1,000 ** Vyndicus shoots out an orb made of water that moves forward slower than most projectiles, reaching its destination after 3 seconds. The orb deals 35/60/85/110/135 (+25% Ability Power) Magic Damage to all enemies it passes through, and lowers their magic resist by 20/25/30/35/40% for 2 seconds.

If Aqua Sphere collides with another ability then it will interact with it.

Hydro Stream: Grows in size, up to 100/125/150/175/200% larger. Crashing Wave: Instantly explodes, dealing 40/45/50/55/60% increased damage in a 250 unit area and slowing enemies hit by 40% for 1.5 seconds. Water Temple: Teleport to the location and instantly retrieve the ring, gaining a shield for 3 seconds equal to 90/130/170 (+25/30/35% Ability Power).


E: Crashing Wave | Cooldown 20 | Cost 40 | Range 800 | Radius 250 Vyndicus shoots out a low riding wave, passing through units but colliding with terrain. If Crashing Wave collides with terrain then it knocks all nearby enemies airborn for 1.25 seconds.

Passive - Deep Tide: Vyndicus can charge its basic attack for an additional 0.5/1/1.5/2/2.5 seconds for 0 (+5/10/15/20/25% Ability Power) Magic Damage.


R: Water Temple | Cooldown 30/25/20 | Cost 50 | Range 500 | Radius 150 Vyndicus deploys one of its 5 rings, dealing 40/70/100 (+25% Ability Power) Magic Damage to all units passed through, which then remains stationary on the ground for 6 seconds as impassable terrain. After the time expires the ring hurdles back to Vyndicus, dealing 50/90/130 (+30% Ability Power) Magic Damage to all units passed through and stunning them for 0.5 seconds. Vyndicus gains 10% Bonus Movement Speed and 5% reduced Armor and Magic Resist for every ring displaced.

Hold up to 3/4/5 charges. 0.5 second delay between casts.




Visually Vyndicus moves similar to Aurelion Sol, long body and all, just not flying through the air, and props up its head once it is done moving.

You'll only get about 62 bonus Armor + Magic Resist with 250 cs. However, you'll end up with the lowest base health in-game stopping at 1,300 at level 18, LOWER health than a level 8 Galio. True damage is literally your worst enemy. For a mage though he gets great MR and AR.

Haven't honestly looked too far into his combos yet, but hopefully they're decent.

This concept is great, I especially like the backstory, I could see myself really enjoying playing and learning more about this character.
