Is Rewarding the Victorious Skins FAIR?

So just to get one thing straight at the beginning. I do believe that the devs HAVE ADMITTED that the ranking system is flawed correct? So if that is true and they are reworking it then how is it fair that you guys are "rewarding" people who "did well" ????? I personally would love to have a victorious skin, if that is what it is, but it is impossible for me to get it because from my start in ranked this season i have been condemned to "the bronze life." Now before you go " this guy is just another 12 year old complaining because he is shitty," even IF I I wasnt JESUS AT THE GAME when i started, because we always can improve, i now find myself competent enough to carry game that are normals with a few different champs, but not in ranked, with those same champs. Now some one tell me why? EVEN IF I GET MY FRIEND WHO HAS GOOD SYNERGY WITH ME TO PLAY WE CANT. i just think it is really unfair not to make the victorious skins available to me if i want them, especially since there are ones for people like who don't have hardly any skins. I didn't read, at all. but I disagree. They're prizes for acheiving gold in ranked. If you can't hit gold, you don't get the skin. Simple.

There shouldn't be "participation" awards in league, if you want something exclusive you should work for it. Believe it or not, if you can't rank up, you don't deserve to because you're not ready. I'm bronze 1 and it's because I'm not good enough to climb higher yet. Simple as that.

Season 4 I started silver IV. Ended at gold 1. This season got bad placement matches and got o silver IV. About a week after I wasn't already at silver I , jumping tiers. Now I'm plat V. (and my smurf is plat III. Lol.)

Ranked has some problems but technically speaking ina game were variables matter, you are the only constant in your games.

Learn how to play properly. CSing, map awareness, mastery and runes. You should probably drop riven and main Sion.

The whole point of these skins is to show that you were "victorious," in that you've earned the skin by climbing up to Gold.

In my opinion, gold is actually very fair to get the victorious skin. I've looked at your match history, and you aren't a terrible player, but you're just barely decent.

I know I'm not really high elo, (I'm only silver) but I'd be glad to at least help you become better. I'll give you a few pointers ^_^ From what I can see on your match history,

Improve your CSing; CS is crucial. You're hitting the 100 CS mark at ~30 minutes. That's terrible. CS can help you get ahead when you're behind, and get even further ahead if you're winning. I'd say make 60 at 10 minutes your goal. Then gradually get it up to 85.
I see you've been playing champions that require lots of mechanical skill, such as Riven and Kalista. I'd suggest against that especially in low elos if you want to rank up, but if you really like playing them, go ahead. It will just make ranking up harder.
Fix your runes and mastery pages. Don't use a 30/0/0 page on Riven. You don't need that 1 mana regen per 5 seconds on your AP page, and what's with that single tier 2 quint on both of you rune pages? Lol. This is small, but it COULD help.

I haven't actually seen you play in game, so this is all I can see from what I have. (Up for a game sometime?) I believe if you just make small improvements, you will become a lot better. Even if you don't make it to gold this season and get the Sivir skin, perhaps you will be able to get next seasons victorious skin. Yeah, add me in game if you'd like.

i have never seen a b5, correction a b3 or lower even come close to being good. If you are at those levels you are not good and you did not preform. Gold is not a crazy standard. Gold is not where you are good but decent at the game.

The fact you think luck is involved is the first problem you have.

At any rate, keep it the same. Gold really isn't that hard to reach if you're a Gold player skill wise. I got placed in Silver V a couple months ago and I hit gold last night after only 113 games, on my 69th win w/ urgot. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I understand Bronze is hard to get out of, thank the gods I wasn't placed in Bronze I like I was last time I did my placements.. (Season 3 I think? I don't do much ranked, blind for life) But if you deserve to be in Gold, and you PLAY like you belong in Gold, you'll reach Gold. You'll have bad games and you'll have good games. When you get right down to it, you'll have less bad games then the enemy team if you're a good teammate (law of numbers), so you will climb, albeit slowly. ... Unless you're simply Bronze in skill. Then just keep practicing and learning.

As for why Victorious skins are Gold+ only. Well, it's our reward, and perhaps some day your reward as well. Shame that a competitive game offers rewards for playing competitively, huh?

its probably gonna be a lame vic skin this year anyway :/ but then again imo elise's is the only good vic skin and if i could chose to get that as a reward i would actually want gold. as for the current topic here no it should not be given out for "participating" and its been proven multiple times by people who are high elo with smurfs have proved that if your good enough to get out of bronze you can. granted the system isnt the greatest but its still decent enough to work well.

Let me just give you some tips as someone who has climbed from bronze to gold this season.

Work on your cs. In a lot of your games, I can see that you have very poor cs in long games. Your best was 219 in a 45 minute game. You need to work on getting an income early on.

Stop going TP+ignite/exhaust on every champ. It's only good on certain champs and definitely shouldnt be picked on those with low mobility and/or squishy champs.

It might be low Elo and Solo Q, but Meta is meta for a reason.

Just grind man, thats the best thing for you to do. I didnt make it to Gold until this season, and I started in Season 2.

Absolutely not. The victorious skins have always been a reward for getting gold or higher at the end of the season, and it should always stay that way. There are a bunch of skins newer players can't get, and as an older player, I'd be kind of annoyed if they made them available. Those include any previous victorious skin, beta skins like King Rammus, and the season one Judgement Kayle. Those skins are rewards either for participating in the beta, season one, or getting gold or higher in ranked.

You can't buy everything.

It is actually very easy to get to gold. I was plat in season 3 and lost all 10 of my placements because of the lag I had(300-400ping every game,and I was playing riven), and I ended up in silver 3,but i managed to climb back to plat in a week right after my internet was fixed. Responding to what you said about the ranking system. I don't think Riot ever said that the ranking system is inaccurate,maybe similar words but different manner. I can tell you the ranking system has flaws, it's not perfect, but it's certainly accurate. You can compare a challenger player with a diamond/below, you will see the difference. How come all the pros are in challenger but not bronze? Lastly, Gosu just did a 24 hour stream to diamond not long ago,so if you are good enough, you should be able to do it too.

Sorry but there's no excuse for you not getting the skin because you can't hit gold. Numerous high elo players can bring level 0 accounts to diamond in a month (and less). I placed in bronze 1 last season and hit gold 5 before the season was even have way done, having been my first season actually playing ranked. This season i placed in gold 5 and am currently plat 3, rarely playing ranked at all. You not being able to hit gold is because of YOU, nobody else, and the players who have hit it deserve the reward SPECIFICALLY FOR THOSE WHO DID IT.
