I think it would be cool to have a new combo-related mage in league of legends, and a good idea for one would be one that can use both fire and ice to combo with. Think of something like Brand or Ryze, but using two elements that are used for certain bonus effects.
Reminds me of Fraaz, from Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks. Would be cool to see bonus damage against burned targets, and bonus CC against frozen or something.

When Kindred went out and I was disappointed they aren't really that dual champ, I had the idea of half-support half-carry champ who would be the Spirit of Ice and Fire. Thought unlike your idea, it wouldn't be combo, he would just have two time-limited forms, so that in one form he is easier to abuse and can't fight back, but has utilities, in the other he has hard time defending but can fight back etc.
But that would be pain in the ass to balance, I suppose a combo Mage would end up as better idea.
In my opinion, it could have potiential to be the first mage support (the type of threat that those guys 
bring) designed for that very specific purpose.
Ice for peeling and gank follow-up while Fire is for duels and extra dps.
And his/her ult could make her spells do both for a few seconds.

I like the general idea of a combo mage, but I would chose elements for it which are less opposite to each other.
Like Sui and Sota from Darwin's Game. 2 siblings sharing the same body, one is able to control and summon water, the other controls ice.
Same could be done for example with water and steam, for example.
So, I like the general idea. I can see fire and ice working, but I would prefer to chose 2 elements which are not complete opposite to one another.
i'm surprised we don't have this yet actually, maybe they could be a mage of mixed decent who mastered both their say... Freljordian and Some form of Fire magic from another land?
