[Taric Rework concept]
Currently Taric kit is in a odd spot and could use a bit of help to be viable and open up different skill set( Q Max , or W max first).
Here is Taric current Q : Starlight's Touch EFFECT RADIUS: 325 COST: 70 / 80 / 90 / 100 / 110 Mana + all charges COOLDOWN: 3 RECHARGE: 15
Passive: Taric stores a charge of Starlight's Touch periodically, up to a maximum at once. Bravado empowered attacks grant one charge. Maximum Charges: 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 Active: Taric heals himself and all nearby allied champions for 30 (+ 20% AP) (+ 1% of Taric's maximum health) per stored charge at the time of cast, up to a maximum of 150 (+ 100% AP) (+ 5% of Taric's maximum health) at 5 charges.
My proposed change goes as above
Taric Q have now only 2 charge, but leveling it up grant more HP per charge and increase mana cost but the base mana cost and scaling got reduced as Taric kit focus on spamming auto attack and spam his Q so 90 mana cost on max level would make more sense, if only 1 charge is used , the mana cost is split in half, so basically if you only use 1 charge , you use 45 mana per charge. Of course the healing and scaling for the heal would scale with level you put in the spell but it would be more worthwhile to max Q now than before since nobody really use the 5 charge during the game. Remove the AP ratio or nerf it and add an armor ratio instead.
Here is his current W Bastion TARGET RANGE: 800 TETHER RADIUS: 1300 COST: 60 Mana COOLDOWN: 15
Passive: Taric gains bonus armor and links to his ally. While linked, the bonus armor and Taric's abilities are replicated on the ally, though the effects do not stack. Bonus Armor: 10 / 12.5 / 15 / 17.5 / 20% of Taric's armor
Active: Taric shields himself and the target allied champion for 2.5 seconds, blessing them with the Bastion link. Shield Strength: 8 / 9 / 10 / 11 / 12% of target's maximum health
Taric can self-cast Bastion to shield himself, or to the nearest unlinked ally in range. Only one champion can be marked at a time, and selecting a new ally clears the previous mark.
Now is my proposed change for Bastion: Increase bastion % given to his allies because nowadays, nobody go pure armor on Taric since main support pool on bot lane is mage. Boost it to 30% of Taric armor but also add a 20% magic resist as well so Taric can be usefull even if enemy team stack up magic damage dealer. Armor still his first use so it get bigger value but a small buff to his magic resist to him and his allies can only help Taric to avoid getting out harassed. Now for the shield, the Max health ratio make it good on healthy foes and almost useless on squishy and Taric being a support, he is basically with an marksman on bot lane so it make no sense at all. Remove the Max health altogether , add a base shield strenght (Numbers ain't my business so i'll leave it to expert) and make it stronger the lower your allies HP are. Basically it have a normal value on full health but scale harder as lower HP your allies get. It would be usefull on anyone and make those risky play at low hp feel rewarding when you bait the enemy thinking they get an easy kill.
Now for his current E Edit Dazzle TARGET RANGE: 575 COLLISION RADIUS: 70 CAST TIME: none COST: 60 Mana COOLDOWN: 17 / 16 / 15 / 14 / 13
Active: Taric projects a beam of starlight towards the target location, erupting after a 1 second delay, dealing magic damage to all enemies hit and stunning them for 1.25 seconds. Magic Damage: 90 / 130 / 170 / 210 / 250 (+ 50% AP) (+ 50% bonus armor)
This spell when Taric got reworked had a bigger collision radius and longer range and got nerfed. I understand the point but with the current meta , delay make it almost impossible to hit unless you have an allies with a gap closer or surprise flash dazzle. My proposed change would be simple, buff the Armor ratio, reduce the base damage to 230 at max level and make the delay to 0.75 second instead. Still give reaction time but make use of E offensively more forgiving .
Now for Taric ultimate here is his current ultimate : Cosmic Radiance EFFECT RADIUS: 400 COST: 100 Mana COOLDOWN: 180 / 150 / 120
Active: After a 2.5-second delay, cosmic energy descends upon Taric and all nearby allied champions, rendering them invulnerable for 2.5 seconds.
My proposed change goes as following : Reduce the cooldown to 150/130/110 Make the delay before the ult pop from 2.5 second at level 1, 2 second at level 2 and 1.5 second at level 3 making those late game ultimate more responsive to surprise one shot combo. Reduce the immunity to 2 second accross the board
Here is my change for Taric that would make him better (In my point of view)
