When is the new champion going to be released

I was thinking since tahm kench what is going to be the next champion and what is his role,I want to know what is his role going to be.Cuz if he is going to be a tank i wont save IP for him,but if he is something else i will,so please riot tell us about him.

I'm guessing not the upcoming patch but the patch after that riot doesnt want to make things hard for lcs players during worlds instead of making the remaining million of us happy
