Make someone who can spiritually/physically infect an ally, and allow them to control some kind of spirit or something to help out an ally, it could literally be an Abathur clone but instead of a Zerg organism, it could be some spiritual dude. He would gain XP based on whoever he's helping.

Scrimshäw1 votesactually, a lot of people feel like abathur is useless and get angry when he's on their team. i'm not saying he's not strong, but he's probably the most team dependent character in any competitive game ever. if your teammate fails to capitalize on your locust pushes or your symbiote, you honestly might as well be afking. he's a super high skill ceiling hero, with amazing potential, and completely rewrites the way "supports" play.

also, if I wanted to be specific in which abilities I would not recommend, it would be giving global range to 'Toxic Nest', as well as cloning an allied hero (with abilities).

Scrimshäw1 votesyes, you just have to find him, Abathurs tend to stay in base, though some will venture out (you have to be in close range to place a locust nest) so some will just be slugging it up in bushes.

I mean Abathur in HotS works,because the maps are actually made to offer abathur some hiding spots and they are much smaller than the summoners rift. But in LoL the map is bigger and with less hiding spots(sure there are some bushes and the tower,but they offer little protection compared to HotS forts and hiding spots).
Also there is the fact that Gold is a thing in LoL,which would make the character even more complex than abathur.

I think League players have enough problems with civility, honestly, without introducing a champion as divisive as Abathur. We're talking about a game where people will report you for picking Bard. This place is in no way ready for any version of Abathur.

Then let them report you for picking Bard. Their ban priority will only lessen. The community's whiny, ignorant little ten year olds should not justify what type of champion and cannot be made.
