Why are all the latest champ reworks sassy and edgy now

So like every champ rework or release since Irelia’s rework almost all of their personalities give me the kind of edgy anime killer of vibe

They all give me this “Oh I have these awesome talents, I can just kill everyone and smack talk everyone I see”

Here are a few examples

Irelia- disses almost everyone she sees even ppl in her own faction except riven

Aatrox- okay wtf happened it’s like he’s a new champion??? Riot could’ve literally just made another darkin but the new aatrox literally screams IM GONNA KILL YOU CAUSE IM A GOD SLAYER RAAAHHHHH I HATE ZOEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!! Like holy crap

Akali- omg don’t even get me started shes everything irelia is except a ninja weaboo that has a crush on another edge lord man which is kayn, she doesn’t even have any respect for shen anymore she just wants to kill everyone at least kayn has respect for Zed when he attacks him

In conclusion I’m not really digging the latest personalities of these reworks it’s just my opinion, there are a lot of champions that appeal to different audiences, for me I like baddass characters like alistar and rengar because they have gone through struggles to make them great warriors and yes I will admit I do like kayn, well rhaast because he’s a little goofy with his quotes and it makes me laugh a lot when I play him

Heh, I don't think Eve's personality has changed AT ALL. She seems exactly the same to me, just with a better look and some actual character. She's always been a skulking, gleefully-sadistic murder-thot with a low, sensual voice.

Well, some people complained that before she was purely sadistic in personality and not sexual at all, she just was a murderer loving to tear skin apart.

Not saying I share that opinion, for me Evelynn has always been about sexuality. But the boards had quite some complains about that back then.

Yeah, I remember the issues people had with her... and I think most of them was about how there was no real backstory for her... no motivations for her... and no depth to her beyond a pair of stiletto heels and a low, breathy voice. People weren't mad that her character was a fetishy one in bondange gear (Well, some were.) but that she wasn't... really... a character.

Her rework was one of the most successful ones I think... at least from the position of giving her character, depth and personality while still holding true to the kind of champion old eve was. Whether she's OP or weak or whatever isn't the issue... she's a shadowy, skulking desire demon that acts like she does to lower your guard so she can flay you to death because she gets off on your pain. She's STILL a walking, talking fetish in a skimpy outfit with a breathy voice... but now she's a little character to her.

While I agree with you overall that league is obsessed with being more "serious" and "edgy" and they're slipping slowly and that it's bad for the game to sink to a level of edgelord bullcrap to rival the DC cinematic universe... I think I have to counter you on one point.

Whatever you feel about Aatrox's rework, I will fite you if you try to say Aatrox shouldn't hate Zoe. Everyone should hate Zoe. Zoe should hate Zoe.

Not sure about Irelia

Before complaining about Aatrox I'd like to see you get trapped in a sword for a huge chunk of existence and then gain a body that mocks you by lazily imitating your true form and NOT have a temper the size of Draven's Ego.... or crits.... whichever is bigger...

Akali is going through her teenage rebel phase... literally..... I mean wasn't she confirmed to be 19? A lot of people consider a person an adult at 18 but I personally think teenage years are from 13 to 19...
