Quick question about the new refer a friend system

So with the new system coming out, i'd be able to get medieval twitch, i'm not as worried with grey warwick since i already own warwick. But what will happen if i don't own twitch? will the skin disapear, will i get a code, or twitch and the skin? Thanks for any feedback.
