In teamfights

Avoid getting locked down by Tecton because if he gets a full combo on multiple enemies he can burst down your team and turn the tides of a fight. Tecton does very high damage late game and should be focused early on in team fights. Tecton's ultimate can make or break the fight by hitting multiple enemies due to the high damage and long stun if full damage is taken.

Tips when playing as Tecton

  • Try to use Mineral Sling to hit your lane opponent behind his melee or caster minions with the explosion it provides.
  • Once you have all your basic spells it is easy to combo them together for good burst damage and trade potential.
  • Tecton is very susceptible to magic damage so avoid taking too much poke if your team needs to take an objective or a team fight is about to break out.
  • Try to chain your CC together to deal massive amounts of damage.
  • Use your passive to your advantage by landing poke when you have the bonus AD after levelling up.
  • In team fights place your Stone Storm on an allied tank before he engages to deal a larger area of damage as well as help your tank with some bonus armor.
  • Your ultimate Tectonic Shift has a very high potential to be chained along with allied ultimates to burst down multiple enemies at once.

Tips when playing against Tecton

  • Avoid Tectons Rock Slam as it allows him to easily place Stone Storm on you dealing a fair bit of damage
  • Be aware of how close* Tecton *is to levelling up, and his passive, Heart of Stone can increase his early trade potential by a substantial amount.
  • Tecton has long cooldowns on his Rock Slam and his Stone Storm at lower levels. Try to take advantage of him while these skills are on cooldown.
  • Try to stay spread out in teamfights to lower Tectons damage output and chance of catching multiple allies in Tectonic Shift, as it can lead to a quick cleanup by the enemy team.
  • Tectons Stone Storm has a very short cast range. Punish him if he tries to approach you without any cc or escapes available. Visual Appearance

Tecton is a light brown and looks similar to Xerath, but is bulkier. He has stones orbiting around him and appears to pulse with a green glow, the power of rune terra. His Q, Mineral Sling appears to throw bits of his own body at his enemy. Tectons W, Stone Storm appears to pelt his enemies with pebbles that orbit them for the duration. Tectons E, Rock Slam appears to pop a section of the ground up, allows enemies to fall through before slamming them back down underneath the chunk of rock removed. Tectons R, Tectonic Shift appears to start and shaking ground with rocks protruding on both sides the LENGTH of the skill (this is where the enemies are slowed). He then pushes the slabs of stone together crushing enemies and pushing them to centre of the alley created then drops the slabs which dissipate back into the ground.

Side Note His ultimate can be walked or flashed out of during the 2 second channel of it. and if Tecton is stunned or killed during the channel his ultimate goes onto partial cooldown and does not deal the damage.

This is the first time I've ever created a champion and it would make me so extremely happy if Riot decided to create a champion like Tecton, even using any of his abilities on other new champions they create. Please leave your thoughts on Tecton and share this thread if you think it would be a cool idea and would like to see it in the game. The more buzz the better! If any of his skills are confusing feel free to ask for clarification.

Thanks,

NSX
