chat restricted...again

so this is the third time I've been chat restricted. I deserved the first one and maybe the second one (questionable) but now i am receiving them simply because other players on my team get mad at me for not playing down and doing things in the game that they agree with. Now I'm in bronze (even though my mmr is a couple divisions higher than what I'm in) and i understand I'm playing with a bunch of idiots, but riot you have to find a way to monitor the chat restrictions instead of handing them out due to getting a certain number of reports.

I have friends that have also been chat restricted from games where they will say one or two things in chat all game long, and the person that reports them/me just spams and is toxic all game long and for some reason their report is actually acted upon?

This makes no sense. The chat restriction system that is in place is there to try and deter people from being toxic and punish them for doing so, its not a bad idea, but the way it is implemented is actually worse for the game for players that aren't actually toxic and don't actually bm and flame their teammates etc. It actually makes me not want to communicate with my teammates at all because if i even have a different opinion on a decision in game ill get reported and in turn chat restricted.

If i am vocal about my opinion in game i get reported and chat restricted. This needs to be fixed and monitored by someone so that people that are actually being reformed by the system aren't getting re-restricted because some 11 year old troll doesn't agree that we should do baron with 2 of our enemies alive, or that we should push mid instead of doing baron, etc.

Please fix it, and this isn't a request for me personally this is a request speaking on behalf of everyone that has been wrongly restricted due to the automated system and being reported off of trolls and 12 year olds that are too immature to just play the game without reporting the entire team for 1 player feeding (unintentionally)

It's important to remember that opinions can be wrong. Or more accurately, they can be wrong in comparison. 'Not wrong' is not the same as 'right'. And your right to have an opinion is matched by everyone else's decision to either accept, reject, or criticize your opinion.

Furthermore, the quality of the opinion is dependent on the presentation and audience. If you think your opinion is being received by only 11-year olds who will report you for having an opinion, then why offer your opinion? You know it is getting rejected and you believe it is leading to your chat restrictions.

Before asking people to change the system you are a part of, think about what you are doing and what you can reasonably change to fit to the system.

Pings are magic. Nobody, and I mean NOBODY has ever been punished for not communicating with the team. Especially with the smart ping system, which makes it reasonably easy to get points across.

People that abuse the report function (by reporting often, and against people that are in good standing) eventually have their reports nullified; they literally don't mean anything. This, and the fact that you have to be reported multiple times in a short period means it is rare to randomly punish someone who doesn't deserve it. The most likely way to get a restriction is by having a large spike in reports by people who don't normally abuse the report function. There are outliers, but in the end there is a small chance you got a restriction because of trolls.

Keep in mind that even trolls can legitimately report, too. Being racist and homophobic doesn't give other people free reign to abuse them; some people think they shouldn't get restricted if they are only toxic to "bad" players (Disclaimer: Not accusing you of anything. I am only putting this out there).

Well lets see i was restricted and within 2 games (of which i didn't say much in the mindset i had limited messages) i was restricted again. Without being toxic, without involuntarily feeding, etc. So i don't see how that is explainable with a "review" being triggered with every report.

so are you telling me that within a day they reviewed 2-8 reports on my friend over 2 games that he left (1 because he had family issues and the other because he was disconnected from the server) and put him in a low priority queue because of 2 games in 2 days? that seems excessive if its an actual person making the decision and also if its automated it needs to be adjusted to be a little more lenient when there are legitimate reason, because in the second game he actually got back in nearer the end.
