That's why it's called "fiction"; science and or realism needs not apply. Good entertainment should be able to suspend our sense of belief/ what's possible.

right, internally inconsistent science, buttonless flat displays that you can use by touch, done in tos, 15 years later look touchscreens, wireless communicators in TOS 15 years later look Cell Phones, comm badges done in TNG, 15 years later look blue tooth... granted the "replicators" are still off but with 3d printing we're on the friggin way dude

You don't get it, do you? I'm not saying that what's on Star Trek is entirely impossible, I'm saying that they use science the same way fantasy uses magic. Kirk is alive again? Science did it. Spock survived for 24 hours with his entire brain removed? Science did it. And exactly what it can do generally varies from episode to episode as the plot demands.

Freakin' Harry Potter has better consistency in exactly how the hell its magic behaves compared to Star Trek's "science." Avada Kedavra has precisely one counter, for example, and that's the way it stays throughout the series. They don't suddenly whip up an anti-killing-curse field with a quantum recombiner and one of Hagrid's pumpkins.

I can see Fiora using the Cross-guard version of the Lightsaber (to parry). I'd rather they turn her Q into a linear skill-shot so that they would be able to give her more options for an Ultimate skin. As in, press Q and it fires a sword wave in the direction she's traveling in to hit those in that line.
