Was about to say, I think Taric needs a kit rework. He needs something more unique that makes him not just a bad Leona. Like a healing pool. Nobody has that.

The passive heal seems far too much without an internal cooldown, and seems to proc from all unit deaths (friendly and enemy minions) which would make laning against him impossible. For a single unit death, you can stand in it to gain 12% health over 6 seconds. It said "stacks up to 3 times", but wasn't clear if that was for the armor bonus or both it and the heal. If it's both, 36% health over 6 seconds? His teamfight potential is already the best support in the game just standing there. Even if it's just the 12% and doesn't stack, that's far too much sustain without an internal CD or debuff that prevents you from benefiting from it too often.

But, we're not here to talk about Adan. Yes that's the general idea I was talking about, but I was thinking more of a ground target AoE with a CD like a Malzahar puddle that heals.

I dunno, I think that his Q and E are things that should stay (if only as "heal" and "stun"). He's in the intersection of sustain and burst, where he can be a sustain support if he levels Q and a burst support if he levels W. His ult could be replaced, though. Currently it's just a stat boost.

What I think of his kit:

Either make his mana costs smaller, or add some mana gain to his passive ("After casting a skill, Taric's next autoattack deals bonus damage, shortens all his CDs by 2s, and gives him 40 mana")
His Q is fine. This is what he levels if he wants to be a sustain support.
His W should be something that makes him a burst support when leveled. Ideally, it should have some armor-related interaction to help Taric retain his anti-AD identity. (Either have the damage scale from his armor or give it a passive "Taric gains an extra 20% bonus armor".)
His E should be a stun. If he should be riskier, have it be something like Pantheon's Aegis of Zeonia. (Targeted jump + stun.) I wouldn't like for it to be a Leona Q or a skillshot, since it's already hard enough to deal with hyper-mobile enemy champions as it is, and I'd like for Taric to remain good against them.
His R could be changed. I have no idea what it should be; perhaps something similar to Diana's Moonfall?

Honestly? A crystal call that drops in a huge piece of crystal as a temporary terrain feature, deals damage in an area when it lands and additionally while it lasts blinds nearby enemies. That would be worthy of an ult, makes for one heck of an epic jungle or objective fight table turner. Just imagine dropping that thing on somebody's dragon or baron attempt and having half the pit have enemy autos miss.

There is no way in hell you'll be able to convince Riot to put in blind. Just say everyone allied around the crystal is healed over time. That way it adds the healing pool, gives him a fight changing ult, and is flavorful to boot.

I mentioned something like Malzahar's W. Not a channeled very large AoE. Malz puddle compared to Janna Ult is like comparing Xerath Q to Lux Ult.

I like how his armor is asymmetrical.

Needs a bit of tweaking and more "refined" gems on his armor. Otherwise, this is sweet. Rito (or really, just the parrot) doesn't have to use that one (they probably won't as cool as this looks), but should at least take a good look at this one.

But i gotta say, i'm dying to see a revamped Bloodstone Taric, that hair piss me off in so many levels.

And they are doing a kit rework as well, Taric is not weak, but he does not have the same potential for making a setup as other supports.

This is very well done artistically.

However, I think it misses the theme of Taric, as a character. He's the Gem Knight, but his armor looks futuristic somehow. The tattered clothes make him look more futuristic-soldier-ish than Knight-ish. And his shield, while very cool looking, is a bit too sharp and fractal. I feel like symmetry is also something to go for with a Taric rework. His armor may be a bit too formfitting in the chest area.

Very well done art, nice to look at, but it doesn't scream "TARIC!!" to me.

I love the shield. The colour choice was really good and I like the transparent cape and hammer as well.

Great concept but I personally think Taric would be a bit older and have a more noble expression along with a square jawline.
