[Champion Concept] Leviticus, the Awoken.

Background My eyes scanned the room. It was quite the gathering. A party thrown in honor of my recent victory which pushed the enemy back and significantly changed the war in our favor. That night, I lay in bed asleep. I awoke too late. The party goers were all around me. Their faces grim. Their only words are "We know what you are. I can't believe you lied to us all this time. Monster." It was then I realized they knew who I was. What I was. It must have happened during the battle. Before I could react a silver stake was driven through my chest and into the black laquered coffin they had put me in. A red cross outlined with silver on the lid. They held it before me. My eyes wide with anger. Just like that the coffins lid was placed over me. I tried to move, but the silver stake weakened me and held me down even though it didn't pierce the other side of me. The nails being driven into the coffin were silver. I knew as I felt myself get even weaker. I raged and unleashed what power I had left. I heard the screams as the bats devoured the traitors. Those who would betray me. I was their friend! I was their ally! Why!? I did no harm to them! Then, all went dark.

The sound of digging. Though I could not move or see I could still hear and smell. Rotten flesh. Made me cringe....if I could. Voices. "Yes.....this one will do nicely. A nice ghoul for my armies." Then a laugh. I felt a tight, but strong pull. My body lifted and fell back down. As it did I felt my power returning. The stake. It was out. My body healed quickly. Covering the wound. "Yes.....good. Even after all this time. Very powerful. You'll do splendidly." Another laugh. My eyes opened. One lone lantern lit up a cavern of ruins. The earth had long since destroyed my home. Overcoming it and creating my own burial tomb. The lantern sat upon a makeshift table and a lumbering giant of a man hunched over it working on....something. That's when the smell hit me again. Rotten flesh. It made me cringe. The bodies of those fools from before all in a pile next to this man.

"Yes.....he will do. He will do." The man muttered, "I shall make this Leviticus my ultimate ghoul."

"I'm afraid I must object," The words flowing out from my lips were cracked and broken. My throat dry from all these years of not speaking. How long? Must've been a long time. My power though, still returning was strong enough currently. I sat up and as I did thousands of bats surrounded me as the man turned. I saw his appearance and narrowed my eyes. He wasn't normal. He reached for a shovel and growled angrily as he rushed me. One of the corpses next to him becoming animated. The bats flew at them and rebuffed them. He was strong and would not give. I floated up from the coffin. My power continuing to grow back to its previous form, but.....it kept going. The power overflowing inside of me. Try as he might he could not get past the wall of bats and I was able to run him out of the cavernous ruins and into the night. I turned my attention towards the opening we had exited. My once splendid manor....ruins. Crumbling. The earth had definitely taken it. I spotted it. The coffin. I felt myself weaker without it. Not completely weak, but just to my previous power. Summoning it and the lid to my side I felt immense power surging into me. The coffin....It had absorbed all of my previous power, and with it by my side my power was doubled. I smiled, and the lid closed on the coffin, floating by my side.

The manor before me I used my newfound strength to rebuild and arrange it once again into the splendor it once had. This world was new. I could tell. The swamps surrounding my manor was not here before. I had much to learn of this world. I smiled and floated back into my manor to get some staff ready. I knew my fortune was still around. The safe was intact. Let's....throw a party.

Location: Center of the Howling Marshes. His home ravaged during the rune wars and his house buried. Now, it is new once again. Friends: None. Enemies: Yorick Age: Unknown. His appearance though suggests early twenties, but he has been around for much longer.

Appearance Leviticus is average height and weight (think Ezreal and Lucian, or a shorter Vladimir). He wears Victorian era clothing in appearance. He wears a white button up long sleeve shirt. Over this he wears a form fitting black jacket (though not too tight), almost shiny in appearance. The cuffs threaded with red was a honor back in the day (where he's from) as a sign of high rank in the military and nobility. The rest of the jacket was threaded with silver colored thread and on both sides was made into an intricate design. This design went into the back of his jacket which bore his families crest. An infinity knot which resembled the moon with a cross over it, the cross was red in color unlike the moon which followed the silver color thread. The jacket was buttoned up save for the top where it was left undone to expose the shirt underneath. He wore a diamond shaped pendant embedded with a dark red ruby. This pendant connected to a chain that he wore around his neck. His pants were the same material as his jacket, but loose and tucked into his black laced up boots. Upon his jacket on both the right and left sides were a series of medals which showed his station and achievements in his previous life.

He wears wire frame glasses through which you see his deep amethyst eyes with golden flecks that seemed to glow. His silver hair (Think sephiroth color) down to his shoulders and shaggy which he kept swept back, but a few strands fell down in front. One raven blue streak ran through his hair.

Weapons and movement He uses a ranged attack which implements an invisible whip like attack which, upon contact with enemy, shows a dark slashing attack. He moves floating on the air (shown by a dark "lift" effect of wind) with his coffin, the very one used to imprison him for years, which floats beside him. His Coffin is his weapon after his basic attack. He uses this for his main abilities.

Passive http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource_images/15/icons_14381_btn.jpg Dark Urges Upon killing an enemy Leviticus gains bonus lifesteal up to a max. This is reset upon death. In addition, enemies drop pools of " Dark Urges" which look like orbs of blood. Picking these up stores them. Upon reaching 25 he may upgrade his abilities and spend them, or keep them for the bonuses they give.

Lifesteal: 1% per enemy. Max of 30%. Bonuses at 25 "Dark Urges": +10 to Armor and Magic resist. 5% increase to Attack Speed. Chance "Dark Urges" will drop: Base drop of 10%. At levels 2-17 he gains 5% each level. At 18 he gains 10% for a total of 100% drop upon a kill. Dark Urges will disappear if not picked up within 3/5/7/10s of appearing. The amount of time they stay ranks based on the ultimate. Pickup radius of 150 around the Dark Urges.

Q http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource_images/12/icons_11499_btn.jpg Hell Swarm Leviticus brings his coffin out before him and the lid opens up. From within the coffin spews forth a swarm of bats in target direction damaging enemies and creates an effect much like Graves smokescreen to all who are within this swarm. Slowing and removing sight. This swarm lasts until he runs out of mana, is interrupted, or he cancels it.

Range: 500 unit range cone. Damage: 20/30/40/50/60 (+10% AP) every second. Slow: 15/20/25/30/35% while inside the swarm. Vision Impairment: Like Graves smokescreen. Mana Cost: 20/25/30/35/40 upon activation. 5 for every second after activation. Cooldown: 16/14/12/10/8s. Starts after swarm ends.

Dark Hell Swarm Upgraded version. A percentage of the damage dealt heals Leviticus and slightly increases the power and range. The bats now take on a dark purple aura.

Base Damage Increase: 10. Range Increase: 100. Percentage Healed: 5/10/15/20/25%.

W http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource_images/8/icons_7788_btn.jpg Night Flock Leviticus opens the lid to his coffin from which a wall of bats appears and forms in target area. This blocks all enemy passage, but not ally. Enemy projectiles are also blocked. The wall disappears after a while, but can be destroyed. Towers cannot attack the wall, but minions can.

Cast radius: 800 unit radius. Wall length: 400/450/500/550/600 units long. Health of Wall: 500/550/600/650/700 Armor and Magic Resist: 30/40/50/60/70. Duration: 5/7/10/13/15s Mana cost: 60/65/70/75/80 Cooldown: 20/18/16/14/12s

Dark Flock Upgraded version. Enemies within a short range of the wall will have a flock of bats attach to them which reduces visibility and deals a percentage of their health over a short duration.

Range: 150 units within range of the wall. This is shown by groups of bats which flock around the wall. These groups are sparse, unlike the wall which is extremely thick with bats. This allows indication of the range and as an upgrade to look. Damage: 1% of their current max health. How often damage occurs: Every 0.5s over the course of 3s.

E http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource_images/17/icons_16113_btn.jpg Dark Transport Leviticus targets an area within a large cast radius and sends his coffin to it. Upon which it opens and begins pulling in enemies within a certain radius. Enemy minions are pulled in twice as fast. Minions, upon reaching the coffin are killed instantly, but offer only half gold and experience. once an enemy champion hits the coffin it closes and they are dealt damage. The coffin can be attacked by an enemy ally to open it, but Leviticus can activate the coffin to send the enemy somewhere else within the cast range. Enemies directly over the coffin are instantly trapped.

Allies may enter this coffin as well on choice. As well as Leviticus. Upon doing so the coffin becomes untargetable for a set amount of time upon which Leviticus or his Ally may move to another location within twice the cast range centered on them. After which the coffin returns to his side.

Cast Radius: 1000 unit radius. Duration of Coffin: The Coffin remains out for 3/4/5/6/7s or until someone enters it. Pull Radius: 300 units around the coffin. Pull Power: Outer edge pulls at 5 units every 0.5s unless actively moving. Middle of the radius halves movement speed and pulls at 10 units every 0.5s. The center of the radius completely nullifies base movement speed and pulls at 15 units every 0.5s. At the center it is almost guaranteed to pull you in unless you have high movement speed and items, or are immune to slows/pulls. Damage: Enemy champions, upon entering the coffin take 50/70/90/120/150 (+70% AP). Hits to Open: An enemy in the coffin can be released by waiting or an ally attacking the coffin. It takes 2/3/4/5/6 hits to open. Duration of Trap: An enemy is locked inside the coffin for 1/1.5/2/2.5/3s. Range of Transport: Enemies: Within 1000 unit cast range around Leviticus. Allies: 2000 unit radius around them instead of Leviticus. Mana Cost: 90/95/100/105/110 Cooldown: 20s

Death Transport Upgraded Version. Higher damage. AoE damaging bat swarm upon arrival. AoE is for any transport. Ally or for the enemy. However, it only damages enemies. This can be used to take an obnoxious harasser and throw them at their team to damage them to get them away from an ally.

Base Damage Increase: 10. Area Radius: 300 unit radius upon arrival. Damage of AoE: 30/50/70/90/110 (+40% AP).

R http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource_images/18/icons_17569_btn.jpg Ethereal Swarm Harnessing his powers he becomes a swarm of bats in the form of himself. Projectile abilities have no effect on him while ranged attacks do less damage. Melee abilities and basic attacks also do less damage. AoE spells and abilities however do more damage to him. In this form he can move through obstacles, walls, and enemies. He has increased movement speed in this form. Basic attacks now change to a swarm of bats being hurled at enemies.

Projectile abilities: No damage from them. They pass right through. Ranged Basic Attack Damage Reduction: 30/40/50%. Melee Ability and Basic Attack Damage Reduction: 10/20/30% Damage done to him via Area of Effect Spells and Abilities: 15/20/25%. Type of Ability: Sustained. Initial Mana Cost: 80/85/90 Cost overtime: 5/7/10 every 0.5s. Cooldown: 120/110/100s

Ethereal Darkness Upgraded Version. Moving through enemies now terrifies them for a short duration. Basic attacks now cause residual damage. This upgrade costs double the Dark Urges. So instead of needing 25, he needs 50.

Terrify duration: 1/2/3s. Enemies cannot be terrified again for 3s after their terrify has ended. Residual Damage: 1% current max health every 0.5s for 3s. Shown by a swarm of bats over them.

Upon Selection "It's been a long time....let's have fun." The last part is in a dark, sadistic tone.

Attacking "Feast!" "This is fun." Laughs "Swarm. Swarm! SWARM!" "I didn't get these ranks for nothing." "Feel darkness." "Learn why they feared me!" "Now this is a party!"

Moving "On wings of darkness." "That direction? Well alright." "Yes, I got it. That way." "Over there?" "Well alright." "The swarm will arrive."

Interactions/Quotes and such "Let's party." Laughs A taunt. "You shall learn why they feared me." Taunt. "Can you handle the swarm?" Taunt. "I shall devour you!" Taunt. "Fly my pretties! Be free!" Releases a bunch of bats that fly off from his coffin. A joke type thing. "And...what are you?" In a disgusted tone towards Vladimir. "Rotten flesh....hand me down shovel? You must be a Mori." To Yorick. "I should thank you for freeing me....but I won't." To Yorick, "On the other hand....No, no. I won't. You DID after all intend to enslave me. Not cool man. Not cool." "Oh....I can see why they call you the Lady of Luminosity. Your beauty is blinding." To Lux. "Woah, woah, woah. Hey! That bolt was VERY close to the family jewels." to Vayne as a joke when in lane with her. "Guns? Really? So unfair." To a Lucian in opposing team while in lane. Sort of a joke and taunt. "Wait....let me get this straight. They consider YOU a vampire? Really?" Laughs To enemy Vladimir as a taunt "Awe, ain't she ador....OH MY GOD THAT'S A BEAR! A GIANT BEAR! ON FIRE! NOPE! Nope, nope, nope, NOPE!" - A joke when there is an Annie in the match.

I can't think of anymore, but probably could. These are just samples.

This here is the good stuff. Very nice concept, its clear a lot of effort went into this. Its good to know there are still people making concepts like these today.

Nikushimi Zero1 votes

I hope it truly is. I did think for a long time on this concept. I do for all concepts. Whether they are popular or not....well, I'm just happy if just a few people like it. So thank you.

I do have a feeling some people are just going around downvoting all posts by people just to be rude, but oh well. :P

This idea was also kind of sparked by Alucard, Dracula, and several other references.

There are lots of people who make great concepts. This community is pretty awesome in that regards. Imagination is a wonder.

Indeed it is. I haven't really been playing the game that long (started in season 4 ) but I've been reading the boards since late season 2. I mainly lingered around the champ concept thread or the story and art one as it always interested me.

In short I know a good concept from bad, this is quite good, best one I've seen in a while and as much as Riot has said don't add numbers into a concept, it adds a whole lot of clarity of what your trying to get across from the viewers standpoint.

The best concept I've ever seen was Virgil the Storyteller from Poeta Somnium. If you've read it then i don't need to explain why but if you haven't the amount of synergy his kit and lore have to do with the character as a whole is magnificent and beats the hell out of any identity of any actual champ in the game.

I'll throw the link below just because its a lovely read.

I encourage you to keep going and make more concepts as from what I've seen so far since these new boards have replaced the forums doesn't impress me. The champ concept thread used to be filled with cool ideas and now its just filled up with useless junk with a few ideas scattered around.

Anyways, just keep going. There needs to be more ideas like this floating about.

Best regards,

EndingWingz

Thank you. I try my best. I have a shit ton of other champion concepts. Some good. Some bad. Some people hate (I made a half dragon champion who became really close friends with Shyvana, and hinted at love.....Quickly learned people did NOT like that. The concept was good enough, kit ok imo, but that concept tanked due to that XD Oh well. Live and learn). It's like if you ever connect any sort of character you create with another that makes them good friends or a possible love interest (even if there is nothing there) people hate it.

Take my other concept I released several days before this one, Narek, Conduit of the Arcane. I made him attributed to Soraka as someone who saved him and he owes his life to. Who she wants to help him through his troubled past and him who wants to give back his life to her by protecting her on her journey. People didn't like that I think. Unless they REALLY didn't like the kit. No idea.

I have so many champions, Vyrion (I reworked him so you might see several of him if you search), a few samurai hanging around in places (some tanked, some didn't), Valen (my best received concept if you want to look him up), a few people having to do with time, a noble woman who is a good marksman, etc. I would link them, but I can't think of all I did.

I will always continue working on champion concepts. I have a few on the back burner. One woman Swordsman who is associated with Fiora, but bit scared to release her since she might be seen as either too OP, a clone, or people won't like her relationship with Fiora (which is pretty much just her admiring and loving her mentor. And by love I mean that she absolutely adores her determination, her strength, her skill, etc. There are different forms, and people can interpret how they want).

Then I have another guy who ties in with Valen (in a way). He ties in because I'm working on a line called "The Displaced". Valen is Valen, the Displaced Professional. The other guy I'm working on is Zoth, the Displaced Veteran. His lore I'm trying to shorten (which is difficult with all of his backstory), but I am afraid people will not appreciate the same "Displaced" title or think the lore too long.

Also, I didn't know Riot said to not put numbers in concepts. It's hard not to though. Numbers help flesh out things, and also get a feel for what people want. Numbers, to me, are rough drafts that just show what you want and can be changed.

But, again. Thank you! I hope others upvote and just enjoy all my concepts so they get recognition. There are some good champion concepts and others which aren't, but we all keep going. I love the creativity in champion concepts. I hate though when people are really harsh. Like, feedback is ok, but no need to be rude is my policy. So, once again. Thank you. ^_^ Sorry I rambled a bit XD

Up voted. Very nice, kit is great, just minor number problems. You are going places kid.

Nikushimi Zero1 votes

Thank you. ^_^ I try. Numbers I put just as a rough draft and to get across what I want it to do. Numbers can always be changed or added in the case of the stats. I used words instead just to explain it a bit on where he was going.

Little Stick Man1 votes

really unique ability ideas, love the lore too!

Nikushimi Zero1 votes

Thank you! I try. ^_^ I'm glad you like him. He took a while to come to fruition. I did a lot of theorizing on how I wanted him to be with the kit and lore. Finally found something I was decently happy with so I released him.

StephenTheGod1 votes

Any other champions that you have finished? Please give the links if you have.

Nikushimi Zero1 votes

I have many. Some aren't so good, but others I personally like. Would you like the ones which have done well or all of them that I have completed? Even the ones which didn't do too well for various reasons? Mainly when they are involved in some way with other champions. Just let me know which ones you want. I'll link them then. I have quite a few of them.

StephenTheGod1 votes

All of them please, thank you.

Nikushimi Zero1 votes

No problem. Give me a few and I'll link all of them. I will even link the ones I reworked (you should be able to tell the rework from original by the dates and I think I listed them as a rework. I think I don't have one of the reworks though). The list will be in reply since it is fairly long.

Nikushimi Zero1 votes

Here is the list of all my champion concepts (linked to the pages for them). Some are good, some are bad. My earlier ones (when I started out making them) are a bit rough. I learned much since then.

Without further adieu, here they are. In descending order (newest to oldest).

List Narek, Conduit of the Arcane Fervor, the Battle Chanter Valor Company, the Fluid Unit (This guy isn't exactly "finished", but it's still one of my concepts that is on the boards). Cyrus, the Doctor of Willows Lane Seishin, the Wandering Exorcist Vulrog, the Lone Horseman (While finished, his ult came under scrutiny due to it being like Hecarim's (I didn't know that at the time), so I may release him again later on.) Joryn, the Fallen Dragoon Vrol, the Frozen Conqueror Vyrion, Dragon of the Desert Kelai, the Wall of Ionia Calis, the Tactician (I had no idea at the time that Swain was called "Master Tactician" so this got a LOT of flak about it. RIP.) Vol'Rin, the Library Keeper Valen, the Displaced Professional (One of my more popular and well received concepts. Albeit one of my more favorite concepts, but I love all my concepts the same.) Ilidon, the First Demon (Because people thought I ripped off Illidan from WoW this received huge negativity even though the only thing similar is the sounding of their name. XD) Lizan, Chef of the Nine Zyrela, Cursed of the Swamp (Ties in with Riok) Riok, Condemned of the Swamps (Ties in with Zyrela) Alexa, the Forsaken Priestess Mizura, Guardian of the Waters (In a way ties in with Vrol since he made an appearance in Vrol's lore. That is, if I didn't change that part of the lore for Vrol) Lunarin, the Blade of Eternity Venyris, the Ghost of Piltover Nymeriel, Zyri, and Ilyr, the Wild Ones Zevyr, the Silent Exile Xenerix, the Apex of War Kirai, the Vengeful Maiden Ioun, the Dragon Arisen Chain, the Keeper of Fate (Made as a fun concept based on Link from the Legend of Zelda. Should have kept the original name since it was pretty much Link. Think that was what got the negativity. I just wanted to avoid people saying I ripped the name "Link") Kairon, the Prisoner of Fate (One of my personal favorites) Arashi and Silver Fang, the Ionian Prototypes Jeremy, the Prodigy (Ties in with Victoria a bit, and the only one of my concepts that the name Jeremy is their actual name) Victoria, the Deadshot Heiress (Ties in with Jeremy, the Prodigy a bit) Jeremy, the Fallen One (Another Jeremy, yes. It is my name, and I used it for two concepts because I really couldn't think of any sort of name so I use it as sort of a name placer. Ioun used to be Jeremy as well, but I figured out a name for him and re-released him.) Velyriel, the Bound Reaper Elric, the Timeless Sentinel (Reworked. Original deleted. So much hate on him for being too OP that I recreated him, but still didn't do too well.) Orion, the Time Thief Senji, the Dancer of Blades Vyrion, the Desert Dragon (Original of Vyrion, Dragon of the Desert) Kiara, the Moons Vessel Kenjin, the Outcast Ronin (Rework) Kenjin, the Outcast Ronin (Original)

There you go. Told you. Long list. XD Some are good, some are not. Some still need work. These are all that I have released. I have just as many that are not released and in the works. So many. X.x But I will continue making concepts. Always. It's so much fun.

StephenTheGod1 votes

This is some good reading, my favorite so far is Orion.

Nikushimi Zero1 votes

Thanks. While writing Orion I liked him as well. This was even before Ekko was created so using "time" as a sort of theme was interesting to me. Orion was someone I wanted to be able to control the field and map. Feel free to read over them all if you wish. As I said, there are a lot. Some good, some bad. I like them all equally. Well....maybe a few more than others, but still.

maxaroni1181 votes

This one i feel is just a cooler knockoff of both Vayne and Vladimir... i would play this tho.

Nikushimi Zero1 votes

Orion or Leviticus? Not sure of the similarities save for how they all have ties to vampires and creatures of the dark. I feel like Leviticus falls into that category. In fact, I wanted him to. Perhaps either become an enemy of Vayne, or maybe an ally since he isn't exactly evil himself. He is just what he is. A creature of the night. Though, he never harmed without reason. Only when provoked or threatened.

Orion I feel falls more on the Ezreal, Jinx, Lux, and TF side of things.

maxaroni1181 votes

I feel like this guy says swarm alot

Nikushimi Zero1 votes

I just noticed....maybe says it just a "little" bit more than most. XD I was trying to think of bat stuff, but since a group of bats is called a Colony....swarm sounded a bit better then shouting "The colony will take you!" Though also called a cloud. I could say "The cloud descends." Or "Be consumed by the darkened cloud." Or something XD

JesterB0Mb891 votes

ok so I think the idea is cool but he sounds like hes all over the place too much going on and sounds kinda OP because of all the CC he has

Nikushimi Zero1 votes

Thank you, I appreciate your feedback. Leviticus is one of those champions which is supposed to control the field and help his teammates. So the CC is intended, and the kit (imo) isn't too all over the place. It centers on a single theme. Control. The wall is to cut off enemies from teammates while either hitting them with a Q or an E. The ultimate is his way of escaping more so than engaging, and the fear when upgraded allows for crowd dispersion, but only when upgraded.

A lot of the CC can be avoided, and it even makes him vulnerable on the Q due to needing to stand still or he will break the ability. So you need only avoid that, interrupt him, or force him to move.

The wall I think is easy enough to avoid like most walls. The upgraded version has a visual effect so you can tell where the effect starts so you can avoid it. The wall can also be destroyed. Allowing a counter unlike most walls which last a set amount of time with no way to remove it beforehand.

The E needs to be really close on an enemy, and can simply be walked away from for those with movement speed boosts or are on the outer and middle edge of the pull.

So while he has CC a lot of this can be nullified by simple avoidance, Movement speed, interruption, etc.

I do see where you're coming from though and how he can be seen as daunting or OP. Numbers can always be changed, but it is the concept that I focus on and that is a control/support mage.
