[Champion Concept] Isagi, the Desolate Blade

Background This is not your path, my star. You are strong. Her fathers voice rang out from within the darkness.

You must rise, my flower. Stay strong. Her mothers voice echoed as the darkness became speckled with light as if stars in the night sky.

Yes, this is not your path, An angelic feminine voice whispered in her ears, Rise, child. You, who is of two lineages. You, who is of the stars and moon. You, who is born of my power. You, who shall rise once more. I give thee life, Isagi. Rise! Fight! The whispers of the voice echoed in her ears as the light enveloped the dark, and sound returned to the world.

Screaming. Screams of pain and agony. Voices yelled off in the distance. The village was under attack. On the outskirts of the village was her families home. It had been hit first by the shock troopers wearing strange masks. It was to protect them from the gas. They attacked her family as her father was Noxian. They deemed him a traitor and went for him first. They had made a stand, but the gas was too much. They succumbed to death. Before her lay the sword she was gifted upon her coming of age ceremony several years before. Her hair was matted to her face, and the muk of the ground clung to her body. Kneeling up her eyes glowed with power, the color of crimson gold. She knew not who the woman was that gave her such power, and a second chance at life, but with this power she would not waste it.

The screamings stopped and the retreat began. There were some who remained, to make sure of the deaths. Gripping the hilt of the her blade she drew it. Holding the sheath in one hand and the blade in the other. They remained, and so too shall they die. She was swift, and they knew not what had hit them. With the techniques of her master, before the students scorn of her Noxian lineage drove her to have to leave the school, and those learned from her father she slew them quickly.

As much as she wanted to bury the people of the village, she knew she couldn't. Should she stay any longer they would return in the hopes of discovering what had happened to those who stayed behind. They would not find her. Tears rolled down her eyes as she did what she could. Laying her parents together in an embrace. She did not blame her master leaving, and so when he returned she watched him walk the village. Saw his agony, and knew he had to deal with this in his own way, much like she had with hers.

She approached the Placidium, and gained an audience with Karma with her story. From their she pledged her sword to the protection of the people. Not just of Ionia, but of those who could not do so themself. She was then outfitted in armor fitting to her specifications and assigned her tasks. As her master was a weapon on home territory, so she would be across the lands. A blade to strike at the enemy anywhere she deemed it neccessary. Her name soon began to be whispered among the people.

Isagi, the Desolate Blade.

"It's not often you get a second chance at life. Better not to waste it," -Isagi, the Desolate Blade.

DISCLAIMER Images used are property of the original artists. I am simply using them as a basis for visualization of my champion concept. They were chosen by me from google images for being similar to what I had in mind for my champion concept. I uploaded them to my imgur account so that I could better conform them to proportions which would hopefully fit and appear in the thread. I take no credit for the images.

Appearance http://i.imgur.com/zRT3XwA.jpg?2 This image is a rough look of Isagi upon waking from death. Differences from this picture and my champion are a few. The eyes of Isagi glow a crimson gold while this image has dark color that doesn't glow. She also wears cloth pants rather than what the image has on the legs of this woman. The main reason this image was chosen was for the main fact of how close the setting is and the pose is to when she awoke from death and prepared to kill the Noxians who stayed behind to make sure everyone was dead.

http://i.imgur.com/WPZzdM5.jpg?1 This image is of Isagi after awakening from death and being equipped with armor of her choice. The difference from this picture and Isagi is that Isagi has no dog tags like the picture has, and the sword, while a Katana, is more like the first image above this one in terms of appearance and style. The eyes in this picture, while they have a slight glow, are as before, a different color for Isagi. Isagi's eyes glow crimson gold. Also, the face in the picture looks slightly dirty (and that's due to the setting no doubt), but Isagi for the most part has a clean face.

Overall Appearance Isagi looks much like the second picture above in terms of outfit almost to a T. Though she has no dog tags and the Katana she has is much like the first image. Her hair, while the pictures show black hair, Isagi has in fact Raven Black hair (shimmers a dark blue) and her eyes glow crimson gold. She also bears a scar over her right eye.

Weapon Her weapon of choice is a Katana forged of extremely strong and durable, yet unknown material. It was forged before she was conceived and presented to her parents when she was born by an unknown cloaked woman. Upon entering the presence of the baby Isagi it glowed with an strong light. It was to be given to her after her graduation at the school, but since her early leave due to the other children she was given it upon her sixteenth birthday and has trained with it ever since.

It was given the name Starlight for the brilliance it gave off when presented to her as a baby. It is unknown for what reason the unknown woman gave it to her parents for her. The only words they received about it was that it belonged to Isagi and was to be given to her.

Colors http://i.imgur.com/OiJAHyl.jpg?1 This color is the color of Isagi's eyes, but glowing instead of static like this. This color represents what I mean by "Crimson Gold" whenever I mention the color. http://i.imgur.com/b96hl6r.jpg?1 This color is the color of Isagi's aura. This color represents what I mean by "Black Gold". The gold is within the middle with the black near the edges on abilities and aura's stated as "Black Gold". Aura's that use this color are a mix between smoke and fire in terms of animation.

Movement Style and Attack Animation Isagi moves in a smooth running style much like Yasuo. Isagi's first attack whenever her blade is sheathed is a horizontal slash as she unsheaths her weapon. Her auto attack combo is a swift horizontal swing followed by a diagonal cut. The pattern follows in all directions. So if the horizontal swing is right to left then the diagonal cut is left to right and vice versa.

Recall, Death, and Idle Animation Upon recalling Isagi stands relaxed and her eyes glow brighter as she channels energy in the form of a black gold aura. The aura radiates around her and envelopes her before winking out of existence. When Isagi dies she kneels on one knee and grunts before the black gold aura envelopes her. When idle Isagi taps her foot impatiently and crosses her arms. She can sometimes be heard muttering "Any day now summoner..." during these times. She sometimes can be heard humming while looking at the sky should she not be tapping her foot. During this animation she says nothing, she simply hums and stares off into the sky. Often times she checks her sword and makes sure it is fastened securely.

STATS Health: 530-2150 Health Regen: 6-19 Resources: None Armor: 26-87 Magic Resist: 32.1-53.4 Attack Damage: 60-117 Attack Speed: 0.65-1.0 Attack Range: 150 Movement Speed: 350 Primary Role: Fighter Secondary Role: Assassin

Quick Synopsis Isagi is an assassin for tanks. She specializes in eating away at tanks who stand in her way. This comes from her hatred of Singed as well as the way she was trained. Sword techniques that bypass armor leaving it completely unharmed while still causing damage to the enemy within the armor.

She uses her techniques to close the distance and pull in enemies all while controlling the area around her when she dives. Her focus is to control the area she is in and put the pressure on her lane enemies. She excells in Top lane where her focus can be on one opponent. She is relatively decent in mid as her poke and dives can burst the relatively weaker opponent down, but is susceptible to be drawn into a trap if she dives to early or mistakes her chances.

Isagi's favorite combo is to set up her ultimate and mark an enemy, hopefully catching them within the ultimate as she blinks towards them where she knocks them back and pulls them in. This effectively allows for her ultimate to proc more stacks as well as keep the enemy within her preferred arena to finish them. However, this can be dangerous should she be caught outside her ultimate or should the enemy see the combo coming as they could effectively counter with their own combo that could cripple and kill her, or simply position themselves that it would be too dangerous for her to risk the dive.

Icons The icons I used are from a site called "Hiveworkshop". I say this as to let people know that I personally did not make these icons. I simply found them via that site and used them as rough estimations for the icons of my abilities. The icons used are the closest I could find pertaining to the skill in question that they are used for.

Passive Icon: Here I meant to find an icon that spoke of breaking armor for the main passive, and the other icon is for when the hidden passive is proc'd.

Q Icon: This I found to closely resemble the color of the wave as well as portray a sort of projectile. It is not as close as I would like, but I hope it suffices.

W Icon: This icon shows (if you look closely) a person barely visible with a sword. This was chosen as the closest representation I could find. If I could, I would have found one of a dashing person with a katana horizontal as if slashing, but this will do I hope.

E Icons: Two icons here. One is the for the first stage of the ability. This changes after activation to the second stages icon. Closest I could find. The first icon is of a person with a circle around them (albeit not the same circle around Isagi when she activates it, but close enough). The second is of a person with what appears to be a Katana swinging it around in a circle. This was to represent how she slices around in a circle around her after pulling them in, of course she does a fancy flip and almost similar style of pull to Diana's, but different color and appearance. If I could I would have found a similar style Icon like Diana has for hers, but this way it's a bit more unique.

R/Ultimate Icon: I chose this icon as it closely resembles how the spirits look (with the blue like glow and the skeletal appearance). I could also not find an icon with multiple hands like these or ones with Katana sticking in the ground, or I would have chosen that. Hopefully it suffices.

ABILITIES

Passive http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource_images/13/icons_12095_btn.jpg Sunder Isagi gains % Bonus Armor Penetration per level. In addition, with each basic attack Isagi's katana begins to take on a black gold aura which grows stronger with each successive strike. At max aura Isagi's basic attacks deal Bonus True Damage based on the targets maximum Armor which scales at level 6, 11, and 16 respectively. This aura is lost upon death or if Isagi goes 10s without attacking anythng. Each basic attack grants 1 stack to the aura. Grants the Bonus True Damage at 5 stacks.

Bonus True Damage: 10/15/20/25% of the targets total Armor. % Bonus Armor Penetration: 2% per level for a max of 36% at level 18.

Hidden Passive http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource_images/15/icons_14275_btn.jpg Vengeance: Chemical Hatred, Put to Rest Whenever Isagi is on the opposing team of Singed Isagi gains the buff of "Vengeance: Chemical Hatred". Isagi takes 1 less damage from Singed before resistances. Killing Singed procs "Put to Rest" which grants Isagi a bonus 2 gold.

Isagi also has special interactions with Singed. See the quotes at the bottom of the champion concept.

Q http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource_images/7/icons_6391_btn.jpg Psionic Wave Isagi unseathes her blade at a nigh invisible speed unleashing a black gold wave in target 900 unit direction. Enemy minions that Psionic Wave passes through are damaged for 40/60/80/100/120 (+60% Bonus AD)(+30% Bonus AP) Magic damage. Psionic Wave stops upon the first enemy Champion hit and damages them for 50/75/100/125/150 (+60% Bonus AD)(+30% Bonus AP) Physical Damage.

Champions hit by Psionic Wave are marked for the next 6s. Isagi has vision of the marked champion for the duration of the mark.

Psionic Wave passes through structures such as towers, walls, etc.

Cooldown: 20/18/16/14/12s Look and Size of Psionic Wave: Psionic Wave's shap is a crescent circle. The width of the wave is 200 units. So it is about half the width of Ezreals ult for comparison. Upon cast it also has an after image of itself trailing behind it. Much like the streaks you see of Yi during Yi's Q.

When Marked, the champion has a black gold flame above their head.

Missile Speed: 1700

NOTES Psionic Wave strikes minions as Magic damage and Champions for Physical damage due to its nature. It is not "physical" or in otherwords "tangible" until reaching the champion and so all minions hit are struck by its magical properties while the champions are struck by its physical. Large monsters of the jungle are considered Champions for this purpose and small monsters are considered minions.

Psionic Wave is not affected by Yasuo's Windwall. Psionic Wave bybasses Braums shield, and while it does get stopped by Braum he is dealt damage by the ability rather than his shield blocking. Psionic Wave also ignores Morgana's Spellshield dealing damage to the champions health rather than the shield. For Yasuo and Braum this is because of the properties of the attack. It is sent at such high speeds that it bypasses wind and even solid material. It could go through walls without damaging them and hit its target on the other side as an example. For Morgana's shield it is because it deals physical damage to champions, and not magical. Other physical damage is dealt to health instead of Morgana's shield by other champions. However, if someone has Morgana's shield on them upon getting hit, the Mark which would be placed typically, is not placed. So Morgana's shield effectively stops the Mark, but not the damage.

W http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource_images/9/icons_8202_btn.jpg Shadow Step This ability may only be used if there is a marked enemy within range. Targets marked enemy.

Isagi disappears in a black gold aura and becomes invulnerable and untargetable. She then reappears in the same black gold aura, slashing the target horizontally and appearing behind them. The slash deals 120/140/160/180/200% AD and applies on hit effects. Upon arrival behind target Isagi cannot be slowed and is immune to Silences for 1/1.5/2/2.5/3s. The Mark is used up after successfully attacking the Marked target with this ability.

Cooldown: 6s Range: 1000 unit radius around Isagi.

On Hit Effects Note This ability is able to critically strike. However, the critical damage is reduced to 150% percent.

NOTE Shadow Step is a blink like ability that can only be used after marking an enemy champion with Psionic Wave. Shadow Step animation is Isagi disappearing and becoming almost invisible as she arrives to the target almost instantly. Only thing shown is a faint black gold streak much like the streak of Master Yi during his Q after she disappears. When she reappears it is infront of the target, but she slashes "through" the target to get behind them. Shadow Step cannot be activated on a Marked Champion outside of its range. This works much like Lee Sin's Q (in that the mark has to be placed before this can me used), but with a shorter range.

She is only untargetable and invulnerable during the blink, but not before or after. The low cooldown is due to the fact that a champion must be marked. Thus, it realies more on the Q's cooldown and hitting the target. Any questions, feel free to ask them.

E http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource_images/6/icons_5170_btn.jpg / http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource_images/19/icons_18296_btn.jpg Survivor's Resolve/Survivor's Fury http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource_images/6/icons_5170_btn.jpg Survivor's Resolve Isagi channels her energy into a 300 unit radius AoE knock back that's centered on her and removes all DoT effects on herself, inluding secondary effects from the DoT. Enemies hit by this are knocked back 300 units and slowed by 30/35/40/45/50% that decays quickly over the next 3s. Upon activation Isagi gains 10/15/20/25/30% movement speed for the next 5s.

http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource_images/19/icons_18296_btn.jpg Survivor's Fury If Survivor's Resolve hits an enemy Isagi becomes impowered and Suvivor's Resolve turns into Survivor's Fury. After a short 0.5s cooldown Isagi can activate this again within 3s to pull in all enemies around her in a 400 unit radius. Upon pulling Isagi slices around her in a 300 unit radius dealing 20/40/60/80/100 (+70% AD)(+20% AP) phsyical damage. Enemies hit by this have their slows removed if she was the one who had placed the slows upon them.

Cooldown 13s

NOTE Survivor's Resolve is a pulse around Isagi. The pulse itself is a see through ball of black gold energy surrounded by two diagonal rings, one horizonatl ring, and a vertical ring of the same color, but denser and not seethrough like the ball.

Survivor's Fury has Isagi swing her blade from right to left horizontally and then slam it into the ground. This is the pulling animation. As she swings her blade a vortex of black gold energy pulls in the surrounding enemies. As soon as her blade hits the ground in the slam she then jumps up and flips while spinning her blade in a circle around her much like Yasuo does upon his dash and q combo, but much faster and she does her own animation of jumping up and flipping.

This ability is named after her being a survivor of the desolation of her Village.

R http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource_images/9/icons_8276_btn.jpg Desolation Isagi targets a 700 unit radius within a 900 unit cast range. Upon choosing the location Isagi begins to channel for 1s. During this time Isagi becomes enveloped in a black gold aura and takes half damage from sources. The ground at location takes on a swamplike appearance with ghostly Katana sticking into the ground like that of a battlefield with faceless ghostly warriors half in the ground.

Upon completion of the channel the area becomes completed. This is indicated by an eruption of ghostly particles. This area lasts for the next 6/8/10s. Enemies inside gain an increasing movement and attack speed slow the longer they stay inside. Max slow possible is 20/30/40%.

While inside this area enemy minions take 10/20/30 (+30% AD)(+20% AP) magic damage every second. Enemy champions inside this area are have swords imbedded into them every 0.5s up to a max of 10. Whenever Isagi hits an enemy champion with an ability or basic attack inside the area the swords detonate, dealing physical damage to the enemy champion. Enemies who leave the area detonate the swords immediately and take damage accordingly.

Each sword that detonates deals 10/15/20 (+10% AD)(+10% AP) damage for a max of 100/150/200 (+100% AD)(+100% AP) worth of physical damage.

Cooldown: 100/90/80s. Cooldown doesn't start until the ability ceases.

NOTES Desolation is Isagi's homage to her village. The Katana and faceless warriors represent her village. The need to continue fighting. Desolation's animation was kind of explained above in the ability. The area that is targeted during the channel starts off as the regular terrain, but as the channel continues the swords and warriors become more frequent and cover the area.

The swords have a similar appearance to Kalista's spears, and a similar function.

Quotes and other things "I rise again," Upon selection.

Attacking "Unleash the blade," Upon using her Q. "Sing, Starlight!" Upon using her Q. "Starlight...resonate!" Upon using her W. "Starlight, expand!" Upon the first activation of her E. "Starlight, swirl!" Upon the second activation of her E. "I call to you, brothers and sisters...lend me your power," While channeling her Ultimate. "Rise, and fight again!" Completion of her Ultimate. "I will end you this day vile creature! Starlight...execute!" Upon killing Singed. She does not like saying his name as she feels it taints her to even acknowledge such a person has a name. There is also a special animation which happens. If a basic attack kills Singed then her blade pierces through him and he clutches his chest as he falls. If her Q kills him then he erupts in the same aura the Q is made of. If her W kills him then he holds his stomach as he falls. If her E kills him the same animation as if her W killed him. If he dies while in the radius of her ultimate he is dragged under by those within the radius. If he dies by the ultimate he audibly screams before dying.

Moving "Patience summoner. I will get there," Occurs sometimes on multiple clicks for movement. "Approaching threat," moving towards enemies within sight. "They are fleeing. After them!" Chasing a fleeing enemy. "You will not escape your crimes!" Chasing an enemy Singed. "All things come to an end." "Through the trees, the wind whistles freely." "As silently as a butterfly resting softly upon a twig." "My blade sings to me. Let us fight already." "Calm. It is quite peaceful here," While moving through the jungle on all maps with no enemies around. While in ARAM when she is standing still with no enemies around. "You would think we would freeze to death first," While in ARAM. "This place holds many spirits. Be careful," while in Twisted Treeline.

Quotes, Interactions, and Extra Information The following interaction can be used in game if specific parts are used, but it is meant more as a means to tie in Master Yi and Isagi from the same village. In Master Yi's lore, everyone had died. Of course, Isagi survived. Albeit after the destruction and by a mysterious force. This is their interaction upon coming into contact once again.

"Master, it is good to see you again," Isagi said in a happy tone as she bowed in respect. It took only a few moments for Master Yi to recognise is old student. "Isagi! How? You survived! I thought everyone had died!" His voice tinged with disbelief. "I...didn't quite survive. I was dead...for a time. I'm not sure how to explain it, but I heard a voice. My parents and another. The voice I do not know gave me life again," Her reply was sad and Master Yi understood. "I know the burden you must bear. As I bore it was well. In some ways, I still do. However, think not of their loss, but of their life! Live in their memory. Live for yourself. Live and show the world that we will not fall!" His words echoed with conviction. Isagi held up her sword in affirmation of his words and smiled. "Of course master. I carry their strength with me," With that master and student talked for hours about the life they had in their village and how sad Master Yi was to have to force her out of the school because of the other students. Isagi shared that she did not blame him. In that moment a sliver of hope shone brightly that day.

The following are things said ingame.

"Chosen of the moon? Well, I see why. You are quite skilled," Admiration towards Diana. "Do you mind shining elsewhere? It's quite distracting," A comment towards Lux. "We cross blades this day Master. It is with a heavy heart that I must fight you. Prepare yourself!" A comment towards an enemy Master Yi. "Wait...that thing is your...friend?" Comment towards Nunu. Nunu corrects her with his name and she rephrases what she says, "Sorry, Willump is your friend?" To which he replies something like, "Of course! Forever!" "Little girls shouldn't play with fire...they might end up burned!" Taunt/Joke towards an enemy Annie. "Awe, leave the Amumu alone!" Whenever someone taunts Amumu. "You know, I was dead once too. Though, I didn't get that big and ugly...wait, did I?" A taunt/Joke towards Sion. When she gets to the "Wait, did I?" part she looks around at herself before wiping her forehead in relief. Afterwords she waves her hands and says, "I'm just joking. About the big and ugly thing. No, I really did die once."

There are others as well, but all the interactions, quotes, attacking comments, moving comments, etc. are all drafts. There are many and these are but a few so as to show what she says and how she interacts with people.

Friends MasterYi , Diana , Soraka Enemies Singed , Swain , Warwick

Isagi is friends with the majority of Ionian heroes and those affiliated with them, but honors protecting those who cannot protect themselves. When it comes to killing she prefers to get it done swiftly, but will aid in the healing of others should the need arise (though her kit cannot heal). She hates those who take advantage of others and uses them for their own purposes and so shares a common enemy with Soraka. Swain was the one in charge of the Noxian forces who implemented Singed to destroy her village, and thus she holds a burning hatred for both of them, but Singed especially. With Diana, she holds a semblance of respect for. Thus becoming quick friends.

There you have Isagi, the Desolate Blade! Please leave feedback if you wish and upvote if you liked the concept or think that it is neat and awesome! While I do have a poll which generates votes, it would be much appreciated if you did not use solely that to say that you like this concept. Though the choice is yours. :P

Also, while I accept constructive criticism I will ask that if all you have is anger or hate to please go elsewhere. All criticism is accepted as long as it is in a civil manner and you are willing to talk to me about my champion concept as I will most likely do so and comment on a few things to show my perspective when I was creating this champion. So, feel free to leave your input and talk with me! Any questions, just feel free to ask!

So, with that being said I want to thank you for your time and hope you enjoyed! Thank you! ^_^

CCOS BONUS Here is the link to my feedback/comment. There is two parts for it since I ran out of space...RIP. But the second part is a reply to the original and is just a short overall section. I also have to say that the champion concept itself is pretty nice. I like it anyway.

Anyways, here it is: Dayne, the Prince of Fae

I think she's a cool concept that would need fleshing out in a few ways to really feel like a LoL champion:

  • Where exactly do her powers come from? You mention an angelic voice and her rising again from the dead, but her powers don't seem to gel with Wuju style (since you state Yi as her master). This made me a little confused as to how her kit works together, as some of it seems cosmic in nature, while her ult seems almost Shadow-Isles.

  • She seems cool to play, but also ridiculously broken if she has innate armor penetration AND true damage + targeted mobility, which would effectively make her not just a tank assassin but an assassin of ALL champion subsequently. You may want to think of introducing methods of counterplay or ways to ensure that she is only a tank assassin.

  • To make her a really awesome concept, you'll want to make her stand apart from other LoL champions to feel her own. That does get pretty tough, but the truth is she feels partly like Riven (the singed chemical warfare background) mixed with a bit of Kayle (angelic presence+golden auras) and Irelia (rising from the dead, tenacity and true damage). If you don't mind, then disregard this but I just wanted to let you know.

Otherwise, you seemed to put a lot of work into the ideation of this champion and I think she's really cool!

Passiv: Very nice ability, but seems like she will be hard to itemize against since buying armor isnt a good choice. Hidden Passiv: Its nice, but Riot doesnt like hidden passives anymore :( no more actual bonuses that influence the gameplay except the rengar/kha zix passiv

Q: also a nice ability, but how fast is the wave? with average skillshot speed its pretty strong and hard to play against since it goes through minions

W: Way too strong i think. Becoming immune to nearly every type of CC for up to 3 seconds is just insane. And i know you wrote movement hampering, but every cc except fear hampers movement and in a way fears do too.

E: quickly decays over 3s? Also she has insane immunity to negative effects with w and e.

R: nice and well thought through ability although i disagree with the max damage since she can proc 20 swords in total at max rank. The only thing i fear is that there is little counterplay if she uses w, e ult you can pretty much not do anything to stop her from ulting you and q doesnt seem hard to hit.

Items: gunblade isnt really a good item currently and banshees is complettly unnecessary due to her w, but imagine the horros with devourer and rageblade. i think she would end up as a jungler^^

Overall great concept! its clear how much effort you put into it and it looks amazing! abilities are all interesting although i think w is definitly far too strong.

Hey :D I've read your concept and thought I'd give you a few of my thoughts ^^ I myself have recently created a tank countering champion (Dayne, The Prince of Fae) But you've done it in a completely different way ^^

Anywho, I'd first like to adress the lore. It is good, well written and well paced...maybe check it here and there for grammatical errors (My native tongue is not English, so my own writing is nowhere near perfect aswel, but I did notice some mistakes that you might have missed when you wrote it). As a big Lore Junky, i really enjoy reading lore for champions, though I must say that Isagi's lore seems a bit...lacking...yes you learn her sad background story and how she was bullied as a child....but it does not make me connect with the champion. I get a feeling that you really liked certain aspects of the LoL universe and really wanted those things to come together in one champion so badly, that you almost forced it. That does not make for a thematically sound champion however...

If I look at the kit i see well thought out abilities that are very unique and well balanced :) I've read a few comments saying that the true damage might be a little too much, but i don't think it is. she is an assassin for crying out loud, she is supposed to pop enemies like they are balloons...Thematically however...I find it a bit incoherent...Judging from the story and her quotes, she should have some kind of alignment with the stars (where i presume her "Powers" come from....although i am not even sure what those "Powers" are), but i see none of that in her kit. What i do see is an ultimate that could have come from a Shadow Isles champion....an E that i don't quite get and a Master Yi blink....Which are perfectly fine abilities on their own, don't get me wrong, but thematically incoherent for this particular champion. One easy way to fix this is by simply changing the flavour text. In stead of ghostly katanas stabbing people in an area, maybe make stars fall down from the sky...or something like that....Like I said, the ability itself is good, it just does not fit her thematically.

I hope that I've given you some good advice :) as a disclaimer however, this is just my view of things. We concept creators make concepts that WE like and you should just ignore my whole tirade if you believe that i am wrong. It is your champion and your baby, care for it as you like :)

I would also really appreciate it if you took a look at my champion concept (Dayne) and leave a comment if you have some thoughts on him :) Thanks in advance ^^

The armor pen is a little too op

Hmm, I believe in this idea. Somehow this champ seems to be contrary to itself. Like as I see this is mostly an assasin kit, yet you prefer (as mentioned) to be somehow similar to yi. Something like Yi+Talon+Diana. This is not a bad choice of skills, balanced between damage and cd's. Yet I feel something's strange. Her Q is - as you say - able to get through any material or wall. I believe this is ok, especially damaging only the first champion hit, yet I am concerned about about getting through barriers. I believe this is a good thing to refer to sonic speed, but I believe this should be a skill to destroy walls/barriers, not getting past it. And for the only skill reliable later on this is surely con if you miss(hadn't seen any longer cd on basic ability, even among assasins/gnar is a bit different I believe/). Passive: I believe that this passive is unreliable. as I wrote below you should either consider changing this character a bit. Or if you build a meatball then nvm, but when you build an AS char I believe that this maxx value should be gained at 3, max 4 stacks, dealing the very same amount of true dmg as she ignores, which can be fun when equipped with item 3071 or item 3036 . W- You just teleport to target that was hit by Q. Dealing 2.0 dmg is way too much with this passive. And I believe that if, it should only repel one CC within a second after tp, as it works similarly to shield, instead it could grant 10% dmg reduction for up to 3 sec. E - Well this is not that bad, yet how do you intend to pull units that have been repelled? considering that they could flash out right after and it could wreck your entire combo? I believe this could be used with W, so it can put a mark on target same as Q. Additionally I believe Q and W cd's should be switched - W can grant huge opportunity, but without Q it is just useless, so there should be something to poke with as well. R - Ult. Well this is really the thing that I was surprised to find here. I believe that it is so strange to see a channeling skill out here. So it is like: I channel. They run away. Flash. And...here goes my ult. I believe it should be like (if you iintend to go Yi-roguelike champ): After 1 sec Isagi creates a zone around herself. If she....and so on and so on. As it either helps tham to run away or is messing with your whole thing. Imagine that enemy runs away and you just stand there channeling. Enemy is out of your Q, even your flash means nothing. So... I believe this could be as I've written. Beside the problem you are dealing with is between dealing huge amount of dmg at a short period of time (where you have no additional AS from skills but some nice combo at hand) or you bust half of hp at one shot, which is totally not-through with your ult. Which, on the other hand, is great with passive. And if you play at poking with swords, you can be taken out. Yi is bit different as his boost enables him to joust with others. Your char can't. Or you build a tank-ish and don't care about the consequences of such behavior.

Whatever you do is fine. Nice char, seems like you've spent a lot of time thinking over it, good job.

I would definatly play this champ great idea and design to me but if shes going to be a tank shredder then you might want to add on hit effects (bork or crits) to the w which would make it a great trading ability if hit with q

Also I think that if shes this ghost girl character when she ults she could be like invisible to eenemy units not close enough for example she like mourns the loss of her village and she like has her own patch of "bush" around her that makes her invisble to enemy units out side they would still get slowed like nunu's but I feel it would make it a more decent ult but other than those great job

Totally get your point now for Q's interactions, thanks for the explanation, seems legit.

ok moving on to the W (again really sorry about the misunderstanding due to my typing) I totally get that she targets a marked unit, then she blinks in front of them and then slashes them, then appears behind them, right? The question is: Is the fact that she appears behind the target after the slash due to another blink or a dash? The thing is that peeps read the ability description before the NOTE, and the initial description tends to stick in their heads a bit better than the NOTE that comes after.

not to point any fingers but here’s an Example a lil while ago you might have read my text: "For W why don't you just say that she blinks behind them" (now changed to what i really wanted to say) and a lil later in the same post, I wrote: "she appears in front of the target and then slashes through" (which was always there) but it appears that the 1st thing I wrote stuck a little bit better than the second thing it wrote about the same topic (my own mistake really, can't fault you for that at all)

I like the ability (I think that I get it now) and I like how it works, I think that there is just a better way to word it is all, that’s not too much a problem is it? If you don't mind me trying to help I'd like to suggest a new wording..

Seeing how you are very specific in how this blink works and looks; with her being visible and targetable before and after the blink but not during it and with her being in front after the blink. There is a way to write this so it’s more descriptive and a little less confusing (at least to me)

“#W Isagi targets a marked enemy within range. After a short cast time she blinks leaving a black gold aura appearing in the same black gold aura in front of the target. After a short delay she slashes the target horizontally (blinking/dashing?) behind them. The slash deals 120/140/160/180/200% AD and applies on hit effects. Upon arrival behind target Isagi cannot be slowed and is immune to Silences for 1/1.5/2/2.5/3s. The Mark is consumed after successfully attacking the Marked target with this ability.

I think this could be a more effective summary of the ability:

1.) it notes that she uses it on a marked target within range 2.) it allows for her to only be invulnerable and invisible during the blink, but not before or after with its cast time before the blink and a delay before the slash leading to the blink/dash. 3.) it states that she is in front of the target first 4.) and would attempt to slash them should she not be displaced or immobilized by CC 5.) allowing for the mark to remain unused due to it only being consumed by attacks 6.) and would appear behind the target afterward (does the blink/dash occur during or after the slash?) 7.) It almost eliminates the need for most of the text in the NOTE (ur choice on what to omit now), and hopefully eliminates confusion 8.) did i miss anything?

Cooldown: 6s Range: 1000 unit radius around Isagi.

On Hit Effects Note This ability is able to critically strike. However, the critical damage is reduced to 150% percent.

NOTE Shadow Step is a blink like ability that can only be used after marking an enemy champion with Psionic Wave. Shadow Step animation is Isagi disappearing and becoming almost invisible as she arrives to the target almost instantly. Only thing shown is a faint black gold streak much like the streak of Master Yi during his Q after she disappears. When she reappears it is in front of the target, but she slashes "through" the target to get behind them.

Any questions, feel free to ask them.”

she uses mana right?

E for E it was stated that: Isagi channels her energy how long is this channel, does it slow MS, or entirely stop movement, or stop her from casting other abilities?

both cast of E are freakin awesome. I really love it, is that ur favorite ability that you gave her?

FlameHalbrdOkido3/19/2016, 4:22:47 AM1 votes

OK got the W thing down i think? "disappears IN a black gold aura" "she doesn't channel." "takes about 0.5s to complete the blink and slash."

“#W Isagi targets a marked enemy within range. She instanly blinks in a black gold aura appearing in the same black gold aura (50 units) in front of the target. After 0.5 sec she slashes the target horizontally, dashing behind them. The slash deals 120/140/160/180/200% AD and applies on hit effects. Upon arrival behind target Isagi cannot be slowed and is immune to Silences for 1/1.5/2/2.5/3s. The Mark is consumed after successfully attacking the Marked target with this ability.

woops missed that no costs thing, got it now.

nice concept, wish i could play aatrox right now

CCOS Bonus Review

I have to say that I really do like this concept quite a bit. It's nice to see an assassin that isn't entirely dedicated to obliterating squishy targets.

##Lore I like the Lore quite a bit. It makes you want to root for Isagi. It also is pretty intriguing. It makes you want to ask, "Where did these powers originate from?" Did it trigger from her death? Or was it something else? Was it something that had been lying dormant in her the whole time?

##Passive Pretty straightforward passive. Gives you some armor penetration to always be able to deal decent damage to tanks, though it isn't oppressive starting out since it scales with levels. The true damage is pretty interesting. Even with armor penetration, some tanks can get away with stacking so much armor that it simply becomes irrelevant. But with Isagi, her true damage punishes tanks who stack solely armor without the health to back it up, which is neat.

##Q Love the fact that it does magic damage to minions, and physical to champions. I imagine that this represents it being a tank that focuses more on the desired target rather than any of the lesser targets. I do think that the initial cooldowns for it might be a bit high, considering that it doesn't do that much damage, but I digress. Though I think that may be to keep Isagi's W use from being too frequent early on? Otherwise, solid ability.

##W Cool ability. Very Alpha Strike-esque, though clearly more gated by cooldowns, as well as granting temporary immunity to slows and silences. Clearly a combination of power and utility, and gives Isagi the brief window of safety she needs as an assassin. I would have said the cooldown is short, but obviously the Q cooldown keeps it gated.

##E Interesting ability. Reminds me a little bit of Diana's Q. I think the movement speed duration might be a bit too long. Five seconds is a pretty long time after all, especially considering that more than one enemy can be slowed. Though with the second part, I guess that alleviates it a bit.

##R Really interesting ultimate. I can see early on that this would be pretty effective in lane, allowing Isagi to jump on an enemy even in a crowd full of enemy minions, thanks to the damage over time it inflicts to minions. It exerts a pretty incredible amount of control on the enemy, since they're discouraged from trying to run away from Isagi, since the minute they step out the area, they're going to take a considerable amount of damage, and at low health running would be fatal with all ten blades embedded in them.

Overall, you did a pretty good job with Isagi in my opinion. Definitely a champion I'd pick up and play!

If it's not too much to ask, mind checking out my concept?

I think Trinity Force would be a great item to throw into the recommended build. Simply because her W does on-hit! Love this Idea though. Escpecially Q and W. Though I think she should have at least 1 more move to wark the target. Ether that or make it so that marked targets is what causes the blink, and have W as an empowered AA

Hollyvvood3/17/2016, 1:18:38 PM1 votes

I really like the idea with Her "R" Its very unique. I feel Her "W" may need some fine tuning. She is a great idea, and well- thought out. However, she seems like Diana a whole lot. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it does pose a few problems. With her "W", we are talking about massive amounts of damage, so she wouldn't be an assassin for just tanks. She would shadow step to anything, and (if built properly) Half health tanks and one shot everyone else. This ability is a great idea, but at max rank seems to powerful (maybe its just me). Keep the ability the same way, but maybe reduce the AD percentages by 20% to 25% per rank.<= Example scaling 95%/ 115%/ 135%/ 155%/ 175% ( And maybe add a 5% to 25% AP(5% per rank) I feel this balances her out a bit and keeps her abilities uniform.

That's really only my concern with the champion, well thought out abilities and play style. I'm sure she would be a fantastic jungler as well as top lane.

Believe me when I say I like her idea, Great champion concept and if she were in game I would love to play her. Unfortunately she seems far to much like Diana as a champion, which means that not only your champion, but Diana would also lose their Unique kit in league of legends. You could go Isagi if you didn't have enough AD on your team or you could go Diana if you didn't have enough AP.

Like I said I love the Concept of Isagi, her lore, personality, and splash art is really great, But I just don't think her kit would cut it.

I'm sorry to be a Debbie downer, I hope my assessment of your champion improves your skills in making them so we can all see more great champion designs from you in the future.

UPDATES Changed the W hard CC immunity to just Slow and Silence Immunity.

Added Missiles Speed to the Q.

Changed Bonus Armor Penetration to % Bonus Armor Penetration so that it is more effective against tanks like the feedback as suggested, which makes more sense. Thank you to those who talked with me about these things.

More updates to come.

POSSIBLE UPDATES May change the W's damage to incorporate some AP damage. If done, then the AD damage will be reduced.
