Deep in the shurima deaert, in an oasis-turned village, the young boy sat down on his father's lap, yearning for a tale of his youth. The boy was always active, and oftentimes left these silly tales in search of the main focus of them. Today though, was a bit different.

"Dad, what was the strangest thing you've seen?" Taken by surprise, "Why do you ask son? Are my adventures of your age no longer entertaining? Shaking his head vigorously, he shouted out in a much-too-loud voice, "I saw something different and it looked like a mirage and I wanted to show you this!" As he hopped off his father's lap, he went to his silk and sheepskin bag, where he became preoccupied with shuffling through the contents of his satchel, the father decided to hoist the energetic child up on his lap and tell him of the strangest tale hed ever seen.

"As a young man", he began with a look of longing, " I was just like you, always asking questions, rarely getting any answers. By the time i was taking my expeditions of fantasy as far as you are," he said as he brushed the dust from his son's hair, " i'd found my first artifact, which was from the ancient times of Azir, which you now carry around your neck." The boy looked at his ancient coin necklace and wiped a little of that precious metal that had paid for this small, but lovely, home.

The man was not done, however, and took out his sword, a golden coloredblade which always seemed like it was moving.

"This sword is very special son, for it may let you run from battles you may not win! But it's blade is dulled, the shine worn by years of sandy days. But these are not what I question in life."

will continue this in part 2, try guessing who the faher is!
