Build Simulator

Before people start complaining about how there already are build sims, keep this in mind... I've tried them all. My problem with them is that they're rarely up to date, and that makes them horribly inaccurate. I'm proposing riot makes a simulator in it's item build page, that just tells you what your stats will be with a specific item.

Considering the fact that all of that data is in the game already, it shouldn't be obscenely difficult, and it would help out new players who are trying out different things. Thank you for reading this post, and please think about this idea!

Love the idea of a build sim, one that is always current. In addition to this, I'd love to see a custom practice mode that allows you to set your level, item (and stacks on those items)... anything you want to simulate different points in the game. You could set the minions/monsters to a certain level, and add or subtract computer opponents (and give them items as well) on the fly. It would be great for practicing CS, viewing your stats... everything. It would be nice if you could reset towers that were destroyed, and the like, as well.

Hell, I bet Riot could use it themselves to playtest more efficiently (to test late game power w/out having to play a whole match), assuming don't have something like this already.

Uhh, Riot's website is a lot slower to update than most of the player run ones, Liek right now, if you go on their item page Blackfire torch is still there,

Do the calculations yourself.

That takes forever for one, and for two, that requires very precise calculations with many stats.

Well you can write your recommended build in a notebook and look it every time you play a champion. And that's not a reason to delete Item sets.

You seem to have time; why don't YOU do them for us? :-)

Some people don't have the time, math whiz. Now solve how much damage BotRK deals to a lvl 16 Cho'gath with 6 feast stacks after 3 auto attacks. Champion you are using is a lvl 13 Kalista, no abilities are used.

He only has 52 champions so far, but InvertedComposer has an Optimal build generator on his website based purely on math. The only thing I don't like about it is that for ADCs and such it doesn't count movespeed/kiting as a factor, so it'll say build (as an example) item 3153 item 3046 item 3031 item 3046 item 3035 item 3072. Just put boots in #2 and swap 3 and 4 and it's a good build; it also lets you put in your own build and compare survivability/damage output/utility/gold cost/etc.

Some of the builds are not what I expected to show up, but all have been good builds so far :) and if you support his site, I'm sure he'd work harder to make more content ^-^

Edit: You can also do 'advanced' calculations with your own runes and how many times YOU think you'll do X skill or how long a teamfight lasts, etc.

That is one of my own personal pet peeves about build testers, they are almost never up to date. Teryd's used to be the best one around, but it hasn't been updated since patch 4.18, so it is on the verge of obsolescence. I really would like if Riot had its own build simulator, however, they probably will never do it because in their mind, that is the purpose of bots and custom matches.
