(Champion Idea: Lyra, the blessed one)
Read prior to Lyra: Lyra was designed as primarily a top lane AP bruiser. She is fairly versatile in other positions, however. I thought up Lyra upon questioning why most scaling is about aggression and not freezing (somewhat Nasus, Veigar, and Devour enchantment). Lyra excels with proper timing and patience.
Character look and feel: Lyra is designed to look very righteous. As she becomes more blessed by the gods she will glow more. She has a very paladin look; large armors and bright colors (female garen?). Her auto attack is a glowing whip with 300 range. Alternate skin idea: Product of despair Lyra: Rather than holy light from the heavens, she looks demonic as she worships the lords of the damned. As she becomes more blessed she grows darker.

Passive - Chosen One: For every second Lyra prays she becomes more blessed. At certain levels of being blessed she gains attention of additional gods. (Every 2 minutes of totaled channel prayer. Lyra can start channeling at 90 seconds game time. Blessing capped at 650) • 120: Blessing of Wealth: Lyra receives 5 extra gold from minions, 10 extra gold from large and neutral camps, and 50 extra gold from champion kills and assists. • 240: Blessing of Fortitude: Lyra is granted 20+(.1AP) magic resist and armor from the gods. • 360: Blessing of Battle: Lyra gives nearby allies 25% of her Blessing of Fortitude within 500 range and she unlocks an activate ability to Pray: If Lyra channels for at least two seconds she can activate Pray again to teleport a short distance (300 range). Teleporting stops her current Prayer. • 480: Blessing of Favor: As Lyra Prays, she gains 2 additional blessing if channeled for 5 seconds. Additionally, Holy Light’s mana cost is reduced to by 25% mana cost. • 600: Blessing of Immortality: After 3 seconds, Lyra will be brought back to full life if she receives fatal injury. (built in Guardian Angel) (540 second cooldown)
Q - Pray: Lyra drops to her knees and prays. As she channels this move she becomes more blessed. If Lyra receives damage, Lyra cannot Pray for 5 seconds. If Lyra cancels the channel, she cannot pray for 3 seconds. Each point in Pray increases the amount of blessings she earns (1/1/2/2/3) per second. Additionally, Lyra's next basic attack will deal additional damage equal to 50 plus half her blessing stacks. Max damage at 375. Q’s look: Lyra places one leg on the ground and bows her head. She glows more intensely. (think Aatrox passive). After stopping her prayers her whip glows until she attacks.
W – Righteous Slam (70/75/80/90/110 mana): Lyra will lift an enemy and slam them to the ground dealing 90/130/150/190/220+(.4AP) magic damage and slowing the slammed unit by 50% for 3 seconds. Any units within 75 range of the unit are damaged for half and slowed for 1 second (150 range). (Cooldown: 17/15/14/13/12) W’s look: Lyra points her hand at the target and moves them up then down. (think Mord’s Q)
**E – Holy Light (30 mana +10 mana/second/flare): **Lyra will begin shooting deadly flares from her body. Lyra starts shooting 1 flare every second plus 1 additional flare per 100 blessing she has to random targets within 300 range of her. Each flare deals 15/17/22/27/30+(.2AP). 1 flare will always prioritize a champion if possible. If attacked, all flares prioritize the attacker until they leave the range or Lyra deactives Holy Light. Max amount of flares per second increased per level to (1/2/4/5/7 flares). E’s look: She glows so intensely that she looks almost just white, shooting small flares from her body. (assume idea of Swain’s ult)
R - Protect the Weak (costs 5 blessing/second): Lyra will pray to the gods to protect an ally. As Lyra channels the prayer the buff grows in strength. Initial heal of 200 plus 50 health/5 armor/5 magic resist per second increasing by 10 health/5 armor/5 magic resist per second up to 5 second (Cooldown: 30/25/20). The bonus armor and magic resist stay for an additional 3 seconds after the channel was released. R’s look on Lyra: She floats slightly above the ground with her arms spread upward. A small golden halo appears in the middle. R’s look on ally: A glowing light appears above the ally, they receive the same golden halo, and it rains golden sparkles on the champion.
Lyra’s sayings: No prayer goes unheard. White light is without absence of me. Doubt was your first mistake.
Upon champion selection: The light fights more than darkness.
Interaction with characters: Kayle: Haven’t I seen you before? Nocturn’s ult: I must shine through!
