[CHAMPION COCEPT] Stella - The Devoted Mentalist
Stella has been devoted to her magical studies since a little girl. She found her niche in mental manipulation. While studying she found a map to a very powerful relic. Since she had nothing holding her back she went in search of the relic. The journey enhanced her magic to incredible levels. She learned new mental abilities such as switching her physical body between the real world and the spiritual. With her new powers she was able to find the hidden room where the relic laid. As soon as she touched the Palantir, she felt incredibly powerful. Now she fights to learn more of her abilities and develop her mind.
Stella holds a relic in her left hand and throws small magic bolts from it as her auto attack. It has 500 range. She is wearing a blue robe and has a blueish glow to her.
Stella is designed is a few ways. She can either be a support that excels at getting her carries out of harm’s way or as a lane dominate mid lane.
Passive: Palantir: Stella possesses a magical artifact that grows in strength with each stack on it. For every 500 mana, Palantir gains 1 stack up to a maximum of 5. Stella’s basic attack also deals 50 additional spell damage per stack of Palantir up to a max of 250 spell damage.
Q: Soulcatcher (Cooldown: 20/18/17/16/15): Stella magically travels to a targetable object in 500 range (minion/neutral creep/ward/champion). If the target is an ally minion or ally champion she leaves behind a magic rune with range of 100 radius that after 1 second explodes dealing 65/80/100/115/130 + .4AP and stuns for 1 second. The radius is increased by 30 per stack of Palantir to a max of 250 radius. (Mana cost: 70/95/115/130/150)
W: Cypher (Cooldown 5/5/4/3/2): Stella sucks 10 + 5% of her missing mana from an enemy champion within 400 range. If the champion doesn’t have that much mana to take or any mana at all it is dealt as spell damage instead. Stacks of Palantir increase the base amount by 10 to a max of 60. (No mana cost)
**E: Body Swap (Cooldown: 25/23/22/21/19): **After channeling for 2.5 seconds, Stella switches places with an ally champion within 400 range and gains 20/25/30/35/40 armor and magic resist for 4 seconds. The channel time is reduced by .5 seconds for each stack on Palantir. (Mana cost: 90/110/150/170/200)
R: Entwined Mind (Cooldown: 80/60/50): Stella locks minds with an enemy champion. All spell damage dealt to Stella is also dealt to the enemy champion. While locked with the enemy champion, Stella’s mana is drained for 300 per second. The channel is dropped upon running out of mana or if Stella reactivates the ability. Each stack of Palantir increases Stella’s magic resistance by 20 during Entwined Mind to a max of 100.
Stella is uniquely designed with a free spam spell followed by high cooldown and high mana cost spells and a circumstantial ult. As a mid laner, Stella needs to focus on the extra damage from Palantir and draining the enemy laner’s mana until the point they need to leave lane. In the case of the enemy mid laner not having mana, Stella is almost sure to win with spamming damage on them. As a support, Stella excels at poking the mana out of lane and with proper positioning she can switch spots with an ally to move them from harm and then Soulcatcher to them to avoid herself dying. Not to mention leave a little damage on the gank with the rune left behind.
Her ult has no cast time so in the case of a devastatingly high spell damage ability about to hit her (Viegar?) she can also deal the damage to an enemy champion. Locking on to an enemy too early will cause the enemy team to avoid spells on Stella making her ult semi useless. It is also not very helpful if Stella finds herself locked up with any enemy ADC in a 1v1.
Pros of Stella:
- Drains mana from laners which keeps Stella's mana up
- Great at saving allies and getting way
- High damage ult when properly used
- Attack speed increases damage output from autos
Cons:
- Takes late game to enough mana for full stacks on Palantir
- Enemy champions with high mana counter Stella as the only damage she has now is her ult/auto attack/and rune
- Little stacking besides mana
