This is a champion I thought of for a while. A badass Scythe user. Let me know what you think! The appearance of him is in the background/lore of him and he is mostly silent and non talkative. He flies around like Malzahar, but with wings. I'd say Kayle, but she is higher than I actually imagine him to be and Malzahar is lower to the ground. Imagine him more gliding then actually flying. :P Let me know what you guys think of him! Thanks!

His ult is a bit long to read, but not nearly as confusing as it seems! Please don't dismiss it because it is a lot to read! I just wanted to explain in detail what it does so people understand! Please give it a change and imagine what it would look like in game before judging! ^_^ Thanks! Oh, and I may have forgotten to add something in to the descriptions so something might be confusing. I hope I didn't forget anything though XD

Velyriel is a high sustain champion. He focuses on lifesteal and attack speed. Trading armor for speed and power. Agile all around and build for it. He focuses on keeping in the lane and pressing their opponents. Excellent also as a jungler, but in the lane he is put to better use. Excellent 1v1 but severely lacking when outnumbered. He is quickly beat down if his opponent swarm him even with his high sustain. Shutting down his movement is an easy way to stop his reaping on the field of battle. He is good in any lane and can be a pretty versatile champ.


Background: My life was not always what you see it as. However, I have come to accept it and dwell within it. Listen, and let me tell you MY story.

Once a farmer in a peaceful town that gave aid to anyone I met with a change of circumstance. A strange my family and I cared for turned out to be a servant of several undead. Hecarim, Karthus, Thresh, and Mordekaiser. These names I will remember for eternity. They destroyed my town and my family was turned into undead minions. Burning my family and our home I barely escaped with my life.

Circumstance led me to an aisle of shadows and death. Deep inside a cave I found a statue that had a figure clothed in armor and tattered robes with a hooded cloak with the cloak part in tatters like the robe with angelic like wings flared out. A scythe, handle smooth and black slightly curved with some grip points. The blade slender and smooth. White silver with runes etched into the middle of the blade glowing bluish purple. Where blade met shaft metal curved like a shuriken around it.

I found myself touching the statue and it came to life. Under the hood was a mask of silver white, almost like bone, but you could tell when it watched you and when it smiled even though the mask had no eye holes or mouth hole. It was formed around the face, but not the face. It was then that he saw inside me the will for vengeance and it posed a deal. With his power I could do with what I pleased, and for him...freedom. He was bound here by those very people I hated. Reluctant I accepted and was brought into the possession of his power....and his look. Donning his armor and robes. Renewed to vigor save for a few tattered bits. The mask as well. He was free and his power mine. Velyriel was our name. Was his name. Was my name.

Taking flight I returned to my village and removed the mask, which I could surprisingly see and breath through. It was then I put all to rest and moved on. Able to change into a form that was just clothed in a black flowing robe and cloak with no wings and scythe I entered a town. Learning of their names and of where to find them.

I joined the league for vengeance and to do my family and village justice with the help of the reaper. Bound to him and he to me. We were one.

Passive: I am Death/Bound by Death - I am Death: Velryiel, Death Reaper. Fallen angel from the heavens cursed by his jealous brothers. Now surviving on the souls of those who die. Each enemy he kills drops a soul (Like Thresh, but different color and texture). Gathering these souls when he touches them either by walking over them or with his abilities. Each soul gives him bonuses to his abilities. Minion souls stack up to a max of 30 granting improved attack speed and lifesteal. Champion, Dragon, and Large monsters grant souls up to a max of 20 that grant extra movement speed, armor, and magic resist. Upon death he loses 10 minion souls and 5 champion souls.

Attack Speed: 0.5% per stack Lifesteal: 0.5% per stack Movement Speed: 1% per stack Armor and Magic resist: 2 pers stack

Bound by Death: Velyriel, now the Death Reaper. Bound to a fate he had not anticipated, but thriving and embracing it for his family and vengeance. Velyriel has a constant passive of 10% lifesteal. Every third attack he strikes twice and bleeds.

Bleed: 5% maximum health of enemy champion every second for 5 seconds.

Note: The 5% maximum health every second is exactly 5% every second. Not bleeding just 5%. For example. A champion with 1000 health will lose 50 health every 5 seconds for a max total of 250. This of course is not taking into account the enemies own health regen, potions, lifesteal, and other factors. Bear that in mind.

Note 2: Velyriel gains a pool of souls besides the ones he stacks which he doesn't lose upon death. These he can use to boost his ultimate. See his ultimate for more details.

Note 3: Velyriel uses a scythe and applies 25% damage to enemies surrounding his target. This applies on hit effects to them as well.


Q Reap the Field: Velyriel, once a farmer of food and crops now a farmer of souls and death. He throws his scythe spinning in a direction hitting all enemies in its path that returns to him after. Damaging them and healing him.

Damage: 50/70/90/110/150 (+30% AD)(+50% AP) Heal: 70/110/170/200/250 (+30% AP) Cost: 100/90/80/70/60 Cooldown: 17/15/13/10/5s Range: 1000

Note: He sends his scythe spinning. The scythe leeches off his enemies and heals him upon return. Not while the scythe is still out. The Scythe moves fairly quickly and takes about 3s to complete its cycle.


W To the Shadows: Velyriel embraces his darkness. Targeting a location he takes to the shadows by submerging in the ground (Like Vladimirs blood puddle but smaller, faster, black, and shadowy feather texture). Folding his wings he appears a ways away and unfurls his wings creating a shockwave damaging all around him and knocking them back. During all this he is untargettable.

Damage: 50/90/130/170/230 (+20% AD)(+60% AP) Radius: 150 Knockback: 600 Range: 800 Cost: 100/90/80/70/60 Cooldown: 25/23/20/17/15s

Note: He submerges into a shadowy circle of black feathers and instantly moves to the target location reimerging and causing the shockwave when his wings spread open. This takes place quickly. Takes 2s to move to location. Completely untargetable during execution, while transporting himself, and while reimerging.


E Repears Strike: Velyriel prepares his strike with vengeance. Crouching down and folding in his wings he quickly builds up power. His Scythe outstretched behind him. In one fell swoop he pushes off from the ground and slices through the ranks of his enemies. After landing he can strike again, but does reduced damage. Second attack free of cost.

Damage: 90/110/160/200/250 (+60% AD)(+40% AP) Second Attack: 60/90/130/170/200 (+40% AD)(+20% AP) Range: 700 Cost: 150/120/100/90/70 Cooldown: 23/20/17/15/13s

Note: This ability is a skill shot. He quickly crouches and pushes off so it is almost instant. The moment he lands a second skill shot will appear for you to be able to click to execute or not.


R Deaths Release: Velyriel unleashes his inner power and and death. After 0.5 seconds he leaps backwards knocking enemies back and leaping into the air high above the battle field cloaked in a purplish dark aura. Remains in the air while choosing a location or champion. After selecting he flies towards the location or champion with verocity. If it is a location he slams into the ground with tremendous force damage all in a radius and knocking up those at the epicenter. If it is a champion he cleaves them with his scythe as he lands with force. Healing himself for a percentage of the damage.

Knockback when flying up: 200 Damage of impact and AoE: 170/210/260 (+50% AD)(+30% AP) Damage against Champion: 230/270/330 (+60% AD)(+40% AP) Damage of AoE when Champion is hit: 100/130/170 (+30% AD)(+20% AP) Radius of impact: 400 Radius of impact if champion is selected: 300 Knockup duration: 1s Heal percentage: 20% Cost: 300/200/150 Cooldown: 120/110/100s

Range: 1300 Duration of flight if nothing is selected: 30s

Deaths Release - Exodus: Velyriel, while in the air, charges his next attack consuming the souls he has gathered. Gaining bonus damage and larger radius shockwave. This consumes all the souls, including those he has stacks, to complete this.

Bonus damage: 125/150/175 (+30% AD)(+30% AP) Increased Radius: 600 Increased Radius for champion hit: 500

Note: When casting his ultimate he concentrates for 0.5 seconds before flapping his wings powerfully before him and flying into the air. All those in front of him are knocked back. Untargetable while in the air, but able to be interrupted by Hard Crowd Control before he takes off. Once in the air he has large radius in which to choose. Choosing a location is an AoE skill shot with a knockup radius at the epicenter. Choosing a Champion is a targeted attack with a smaller AoE radius and less damage for the AoE and knockup.

Note 2: The increased radius of Deaths Release - Exodus is the total radius with the bonus already added in. The Bonus damage is added to both the AoE damage and champion damage. When using Exodus you must hold the attack button for the duration that it says before releasing. During this time you can move the cursor to anywhere before releasing. Where the cursor is upon releasing is where he dives to. Visually he begins to glow an aura of blue and dark purple smokey flames around him and his weapon.

Note 3: The range and time of flight is for selection of areas. This can easily be change in terms of time of the flight. During this time if you click the left mouse button instead of the right one to move and attack Velyriel will move to location while keeping flight.
