Misery, The Acidic Plague {Champion Concept}

{Lore} Whilst Zaun is well known for being a unsafe place "Misery" is perhaps the cinch for it's poor reputation. Originally a theory by aspiring scientists if it was possible to create "an original" life-form from the building blocks of life the creature that would become Misery would turn from thought to an attempt at creating an unstoppable living weapon. A being capable of regenerating even the most severe wounds in seconds, to the creation on will of creatures to serve it, and the ability to turn even the mightiest defense into fuel. To be mindlessly convinced in its own goals. To be easily controlled... All but the last, were complete successes. The first victims to the yet unnamed creation were to be its creators. As Misery stroke out from its lab in the dead of night the disappearance of several households with screeches of those within had alternative explanations. As time marched it was clear that the center of the disappearances were tied to the lab. When investigators arrived only one returned half of their body completely liquefied. Mass evacuations by those that could and attempts to solve the problem by force started. Even with attempts to destroy the lab through hextech explosives succeeded completely the next night a chorus of screams would spread like fire. Misery would be named by the pain and suffering it brought and the fate of it's victims unknown.

{Appearance} I envision Misery as a type of worm like creature since they are one of the simpler terrestrial creatures. With a definitive mouth and visible segmentations that leak acid.

(Gameplay Idea) The idea I had gameplay wise was "AP Hypercarry" that truly relied on its abilities in a spellcasting way instead of replacing their auto-attacks like Azir or Cass. Plus area control and denial as a method of defense instead of the usual "utility or range" as a means of defense.

Passive: The Regenerating Menace. Misery will recover 20% of damage taken over three seconds. This healing is fixed and attempts to raise or lower it will merely raise or decrease it's speed accordingly. Misery will gain 1% AP for every 1% of health it is regenerating (So if you are regenerating X HP get Y AP for three seconds) Adds a bit of sustain especially against sustained DPS though if Misery is caught out of position he's unlikely to regen enough to save him. Adds damage to encourage riskier play during regenerating.

Q: Acidic Spray. 30/40/50/65/70 mana 2 second CD Misery Channels for 2 seconds before spraying out a pool of acid in a 250 unit circle up to 750 units away. The acid pit does 10/15/20/25/30 + 75/95/110/125/130% AP scaling The pool lasts for 3/5/7 seconds. Dealing a damage tick for every second With decent range and high scaling Acidic Spray is a rather decent zoning tool. A few pools of acid stacked on each other against a CC'd target or in the middle of a teamfight allows high damage. However the channel means Misery is left vulnerable, and the pools themselves are easy to dodge.

W. Regurgitate Spawn 60/70/85/90/100 mana 20/18/16/12/10 second CD charge system 1.2 CD between charge 3 charges total Misery regurgitates spawnling(s) creatures somewhat similar to him but more rat/dog/whatever then worm. Spawnlings have 50/60/70/80/90% Misery's HP double his resistances and 5/10/15/20/25% of his AP as AD with a fixed attack speed of .31. Their can be a total of 3 spawnlings at any time and they will guard Misery or position near his pools of acid with a duration of 8 seconds (Prioritizes acid pools!). If a spawnling is within a 250 circle of an enemy champion who has recently dashed or blinked they will grab them. Rooting and dragging them (forcefully moving them, but can still AA and cast spells.) Towards the closest acid pool or away from Misery (Prioritizes acid pools even if it puts the enemy champion into range of killing Misery!) Spawnlings will drag a champ 1/8 of their movement speed each Spawns will not spread out their dragging and will release a champion if they center them into a pool attacking them as normal; otherwise they drag for 1.3 seconds. Dragging duration is effected by tenacity but is not slowed down. A unique defensive tool with a gimmicky nature. Since they will guard acid pools and can drag people who dash/flash/whatever over them they can allow Misery to effectively guard passages or to catch someone out In a teamfight as they are smaller profile then other CC abilities.

E. Acidic Lick 70/75/80/95/100 12/11/10/9/8 second CD
Misery sends out an approximation of a "tongue" out in a 950 range skill-shot. The tongue itself will deal the damage of a single acid pool tick to the first enemy champion it hits. After that it will stick to the enemy for as long as Misery is 1450 units away, they or Misery dies or Misery re-casts the ability. Whilst stuck to an enemy they will receive 25/35/45/65/70% magic penetration from Misery alone. Enemy champions are not revealed but the tongue will stay even if the enemy champion breaks vision. Misery is slowed by 20% while licking someone, but can still channel Acidic spray. Whether it's tanks stacking MR or a careless squishy Acidic Lick is Misery's biggest burst option however is still reliant on his Q for damage on it's own.

R. Bathe in Acid. 125 second CD Passive increase the healing of The Regenerating Menace to 30/35/40% Misery unleashes all of his acid channeling onto a target area in a 530/950/1125 unit area up to 850 units away. Every second Misery channels it will cast Acidic Spray to cover the entire area. Each cast of Acidic Spray will cost mana and is otherwise identical with one exception. Acidic Spray's spawned by Bathe in Acid will liquefy any enemy champion who is killed within it's area. Enemy champions within 350 units of a melted champion will be feared for half a second. As well as leaving behind acidic goop for 9 seconds. Misery can drink goop to lower Bathe in Acid's cooldown by 1/10. Misery can't cancel Bathe in Acid and it will be paused but not stopped by hard CC. Misery will only stop upon losing all mana or death. A big team-fight ult that early on isn't great per say. However combined with Lick some spawn and poor positioning is very liable to kill the entire enemy team. However it's also very much a make or break ultimate. As Misery can't cancel it at all and it will drain his mana at incrediable speeds.

Overall with the mobility creep of league and the fact Misery requires great positioning given his complete lack of escapes outside flash I personally think this kit is feasible and with proper hammering of numbers would be balanced. What do you think? I'm all ears {Quotes} I'd imagine a VA completely lacking in malice. More like innocently murderous

Movement: To spread JOY! They'll just melt as they relax in my spray. Life is all about the pain of happiness. I hate it when they cry their all so spoiled. Everyone should be a calm liquid like all my victims! A quick death doesn't give them time to enjoy the details.

Attack: Lets give a more direct approach! Their just being too ruff they need to learn their lesson. I know they enjoy their suffering. I do too! Let's all get along as pools in me.

Happy holidays! I'm going to go ahead and leave my thoughts of Misery here, if you don't mind. Please let me know any comments or questions, and I'll try to get back to them as soon as possible.

_Lore _ Misery seems more like an anime villain than a champion in League. There isn't much that ties her to a particular character, but rather it seems like the entirety of her is just that of a horror monster or villain. We don't actually learn anything in regards to personality from this. Additionally, from what it seems they have no weakness... not something I would quite recommend. While the strengths of a character draw people to them, the weaknesses are what helps that draw.

_Kit _ Passive - When you mean healing is fixed, do you mean that the number never changes or something like that? Anyways, this makes it difficult for Misery to lose a trade with an enemy, because she just heals 20% of the damage dealt to her (on top of getting AP). Some fixes here would work out great (perhaps making the % scale over the game) so that way she isn't being a dominating force early.

Q - This ability should probably be toned down some. It has too much going on (with a two second channel to a longer lasting pool). I'd recommend turning down the channel time, and in return turning down how long it lasts at max. If you'd like, there is also the chance where you could turn down the damage in exchange for making it tick every half second.

W - I'd say this is a bit too powerful of a zoning tool. It gives the minions a type of Skarner ultimate, which can be pretty impactful. While it's nice that it interacts with the acid pools, perhaps some other kind of CC can be used? Or, if you want to keep the minions, make them interact with the acid pools in a way that is not so... dominating.

E - I would recommend giving this its own damage, instead of relying on the Q numbers. Additionally, that is a LOT of MR shredding, with it being able to practically turn tanks into just bulky champions with little defenses. While it does only work with Misery (a strange interaction), it can still lead to them just dominating against tanks and squishies alike with this ability.

Ultimate - The issue I have with this ability is that it's primarily just a self-buff with little interaction with the player actually involved. These abilities don't really make it fun for the player, or give them a chance to show off their skills in a reasonable way.

Overall - Overall, I would say that I get the point of the kit you're making. It's not a bad kit, but I would recommend toning some things down a little, and perhaps a revision of the ultimate so it allows more player interaction.
