[Champion Concept] | Give Me Some Opinions
I give credit to half of these changes to TeCoolMage (OCE), on the original post made a few days ago:
You can take a look at the original concept on that post, and then take a look at this one to compare and criticize. . . . . So my original concept was to have a perpetual toggle ability be in the kit, and have the other abilities change according to what the "wheel of fortune" landed on.
Enjoy! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Scarlett, Zodiac's Keeper
[Passive] Gifts of the Zodiac:
Depending on which Guardian is selected, you gain bonuses to your basic attacks. These bonuses increase at levels 6, 11, and 16.
- Virgo, the Maiden:
- Your basic attacks deal bonus magic damage and root champions (for 1.2/1.3/1.4/1.5 second) if they're below 40% health. No health threshold on minions and monsters.
-
- Scarlett will throw out a chain for this special attack
- Cooldown on each individual champion: 11/10/9/8 seconds
- Cooldown on minions/monsters: 6/6/5/4 seconds
- Gemini, the Twins:
- Your basic attacks apply on-hit effects twice (every 5/5/4/3 seconds), deal bonus magic damage on-hit, grant 20/25/30/35% more attack speed, and 7.5/10/12.5/15% out of combat movement speed
-
- Scarlett will attack with both hands for the double on-hit bonus
- Scorpio, the Scorpion:
- Your basic attacks will sting a champion, guaranteed critically striking (170/180/190/200%) and dealing a physical DOT effect and a decaying 45/50/55/60% slow effect over 2 seconds. (10/9/8/7 second cooldown)
- Cooldown against monsters: 6/6/5/4 seconds
-
- No slow applied to monsters
. .
Perpetual Toggle Ability Rework:
This [Q] used to have the passive be the [Q]'s passive, but I later realized that I forgot to put in a passive ability. So the result of the matter was the [Q] needing one point needed to become usable, but then there would be the [R] at an ultimate level of power, thus making the [Q] pointless to have 5 points in it if there wasn't any power in it besides switching the other abilities effects. There was also a lot of balance concerns (by me) about summoning people to fight with you, so I made the [W] have many restrictions placed on it in order to not have Yorick 2.0.
[Q] Key Change: Toggle Ability. .75 second cooldown
- Only One Point Needed. [W] and [E] have 7 points available to apply.
- Damage increases every level, despite the time values being the same on a few on the level upgrades.
Switch between three Zodiac Guardians, in a set order.
-
This ability will become inactive if you have someone summoned.
-
If this ability is not leveled, then the summoned Guardian is Virgo by default.
-
-
- Virgo, the Maiden
-
-
-
- Scarlett’s right arm will glow purple by default and when Virgo is selected.
-
-
-
- Gemini, the Twins
-
-
-
- Scarlett’s right arm will glow blue when Gemini is selected.
-
-
-
- Scorpio, the Scorpion
-
-
-
- Scarlett’s right arm will glow red when Scorpio is selected.
-
There would be some sort of design, not just some odd glowing.
. .
[W] Summon: Guardian: 25 mana required to activate. 10 Second Cooldown (After Guardian Active Duration Ends) 5 mana per second (w/ zodiac representative being on the battlefield) Possibility of up to a 100 mana cost
Summon whichever zodiac representative is selected, as well as some sort of AOE affect when person is summoned. Stays for 15 seconds, or until slain, or mana runs out. All Zodiac Guardians have a set attack speed, except for Gemini.
-
Virgo: damages and roots those in a cone AOE in front of her
-
- Least damage dealt, root duration is .5 seconds more than [Passive] root duration
-
- Virgo’s basic attacks do not apply the root effect
-
Gemini: deals damage and slows enemies by 15/15/20/20/25/25/30% for 1 second (refreshes every .5 seconds) around them. They have 15% more attack speed than Scarlett, deal bonus magic damage on-hit, and their attacks apply the [Passive] bonus.
-
- Gemini only counts as one unit, despite being called “they”
-
- Gemini can have more than 2.5 attack speed, if Scarlett were to get to that point, while also adding in the [Passive] bonus attack speed increase
-
- Gemini also benefits from the [Passive] bonus movement speed
-
Scorpio: knocks up, damages, and stuns those in a line in front of him (1/1/1.25/1.25/1.5/1.75/2 seconds total disable duration)
-
- Most damage dealt, basic attacks apply a Titanic-Hydra-esque cleave passive to enemies behind the main target (except on towers)
-
- Has more health than Virgo and Gemini
. .
[E] Spark Dash: 50 mana. 10/10/9/9/8/8/7 second cooldown
Scarlett will dash in a line, leaving behind a line of white sparks that detonate after 1 second, stunning and damaging anyone on the path for 1.1/1.1/1.2/1.2/1.3/1.4/1.5 seconds.
. .
[R] Grand Finale: 125 mana. 80/70/60 second cooldown
Whichever Guardian is currently summoned, Scarlett will command them to unleash an attack (in an area relative to the summoned Guardian). Can not be activated if no one is summoned.
-
Virgo: Maiden’s Chains: Virgo tunnels to the targeted location, and upon surfacing, roots all enemies in an area with spiked chains, dealing damage every second for 3 seconds
-
- Up to a 1.5 second delay before surfacing. Factors in distance for the delay.
-
Gemini: Twins’ Deception: Gemini disguises themselves to look like Scarlett, and Scarlett will have the same attack speed as Gemini. Upon Gemini’s defeat, Gemini will heal Scarlett based on a percentage of the damage Gemini dealt, and explode, dealing slight damage and leaving a large slowing field
-
- Gemini and Scarlett will go invisible for up to 2 seconds, only revealing both of them after one of them attacks an enemy.
-
- Both of them will attack a targeted enemy at the same time.
-
Scorpio: Desert’s Wrath: After a 1 second delay, Scorpio will root himself and unleash a force of wind dealing damage every .5 seconds and greatly slow enemies by 40/50/60% for 5 seconds in a large cone AOE.
-
- The damage will be represented by “sound waves” during Scorpio’s attack.
. . . . . . . . . . . .
So that's it.
I know that it's a lot to read and take in, but there has been a lot of work put into this to first brainstorm the original concept, then simplifying and brainstorming, then balance check it, then of course bring it to you guys to look at.
I hope you guys enjoy it!
Cheers!
PS: I know the formatting is wonky, but please bear with it. I originally did this in a Google Doc, and the formatting is not the easiest to do on the boards, especially the bullet lists and number lists.
