The new LPK poro snacks and what they could do for ARAM
I'll start off by saying that I love ARAM becoming a full on game mode, and I love the rotating queue, and these new snax for the LPK mode. However, I feel like after seeing these new snax in action, there's room to evolve ARAM even further by adding a neutral mini-game into the otherwise straightforward killfest. Let's talk Poros.
Ever since the addition of Poros to the LoL community, everyone's loved them. They're adorable, they're absolutely awesome...but they basically make your trinket slot empty. INTRODUCING: Riot's newest idea to the Poro based gamemode; effect-granting poro snax.
Here's the idea: the Poro's are still neutral, but I'd like to see riot install a kind of "pop the pig" mini-game into the abyss with these new snax as your trinkets. I'll start with talking about normal poro behavior before I talk about the effects, before the biggest "nah bruh, it's too RNG" argument starts trying to mess this up like they tried to with the new plants on the rift. Poros are sorta slow...about 1/2-2/3 the speed of normal lane minions (which most champions easily keep up with) and like to bother the battlers for their tasty trinket treats during the game. I'd like to bother riot to modify their behavior (they can still do their lovable lap of cuteness) to have them slowly make their way towards battlers on the team OPPOSITE the team that fed them last, to help "balance" the idea i have. Keeping in mind that they're slow, it still gives the ally's team the chance to feed it as well, but it also gives the enemy team a better opportunity to feed the little guy. However, if after awhile (say...120s? this number definitely is my gray area in this plan) the enemy team refuses to feed it, the poro will start trying to be fed from either team's nearby food sources again.
Now, as for the stuff I want to really get into...
Poros will "pop" somewhere between 4-9 snacks (to not allow teams to dogpile all the treats at once and make a guaranteed strategy around them, this number has to be randomized. The point is to make a mini-game, not a game-making or game-breaking guaranteed event) after taking the effect of the last snack fed to it. They will split into 2 poros, not the like 6 or 8 that they currently do (I love them, but for making a mini-game, 8 would be busted), which means that as the game 'porogresses' (Cheers, Phreak) there are more to manage, and you can try to sneak some snacks in on a few and set yourself up with better odds on a favorable condition. Before I move on to the snack effects, I'll say that the last person who fed the poro (and their allies) will be the team who the effects benefit. They will not effect both teams, even though some of the snacks fed to it were likely from the other team.
Now for the really fun part. >:D
Super Spicy Snax - The poro runs at the closest nearby enemy champion (since I dont know riot's exact movespeeds for poros, I can't give a number here, but around the same speed as a Morgana Q) and after 2 seconds explodes, dealing 10(lv)+100 true damage to nearby enemies. (at lv 10, this will do a total of 200 true damage...not much, but enough to matter) Unlike LPK mode, this snack effect will not effect towers.
Frosted Snax - The poro does it's love spin slowly, and the hearts are blue. After the love spin, the poro explodes, dealing 10(lv+10)+100 magic damage and rooting all enemies near it for 1 second (At lv 10, this deals 300 damage, reduced by Magic Resist, and roots all enemies nearby for 1s) This poro does not move at enemies, so it's important to use this to freeze a fight on top of these poros if you want the enemies to chill.
Espresso Snax - The poro will bounce twice, then propel itself in the direction of the closest nearby enemy champion. (this won't lock onto them like the Spicy effect will, but will travel much faster - about as fast as an Ezreal Q) If the poro connects with an enemy champion, they will take 10(lv+10)+100 physical damage and get stunned for 1 second (at level 10, this will do 300 damage, reduced by armor, and stun the enemy for 1s) It's good to note that this can only hit one champion, and can be dodged completely.
Rainbow Snax Party Pack! - The poro will complete it's love lap and explode, leaving a healing zone for 3 seconds that restores 1.5% of the allied team's hp and mana per second. This is a significant heal, but also a delayed one. If the enemy team is going for this, burst the priority targets and make a quick retreat.
That about sums it up. Please give me some feedback, some ideas for snax abilities other than these if you have them, and try to make the red tracker light this up in time for christmas. :P
