Welcome to the League of Legends Champion Reveal for Panik Cinestar - The Planet's Weapon

Panik is a hybrid champion, wearing light armor to emphasize speed and to make his magical abilities easier to use. He wields one strong sword in his left hand, and uses his right hand to fire powerful magic. Skilled with both swords and his mysterious abilities, Panik makes the most out of both forms of combat to best his foes.

(This champion is based off the main character in a tragic fantasy novel I'm writing. If interested, feel free to message me as I'm looking for readers!)

"I swore it on my life in that very moment; That little girl must live. So why, now, am I standing before her grave stone?"

(While the lore of this champion has been changed to adapt to League of Legends, there will still be spoilers ahead for anyone who is interested in the real story.)

Panik Cinestar was an adopted Prince on the continent of Borivye to the city of Cerventen. Unknown to him, Panik was found by Cerventen's great King beneath the Earth, trapped inside of a crystal orb hovering over a pool of energy. Somehow, the King and his men managed to remove the child from that orb. Against his council and friend's advice, the King took the child in and declared him Prince of Cerventen.

Panik gradually learned of his powers in secret. He was terrified of them, mostly because he was afraid of what the King would do to him if he ever found out. Would he be cast out? Even killed? And so Panik strayed from using them, hoping they would go away on their own if he had just never used them. But they didn't. On his 18th birthday, he joined the Cerventen army and declared his oath. He loved life, loved his father, loved the people of the city he would one day rule. He vowed to them that he would protect not only them, but all life. The powers, also giving him incredible reflexes and strength, assisted in Panik's becoming the greatest soldier the army had ever seen. Panik would eventually find that his skill with a blade would rival his mysterious abilities.

Over time, Panik began to see a problem, and spiral quickly down a dark path that he vowed against. He constantly had to kill in order to protect his secret. When his father was murdered, Panik almost broke completely and unleashed himself on the world. But then he met a young girl who, upon seeing what Panik could do, called him a miracle and told him how beautiful his powers were. It was that girl that turned Panik back towards the light, vowing now to protect that little girl at all costs. She alone was keeping him together.

When that little girl died before his eyes, Panik broke completely, unleashing all of the energy inside of him to obliterate the entire city. Deciding for himself that he could do nothing right and later finally understanding that he was created by the planet to wipe out the humanity that was destroying it, he returned to the crystal orb to gather power and wreak havoc upon the world. After accomplishing this, Panik thirsted for more destruction, to continue taking lives so that no monster would ever live again like the one that killed that girl. That is when he joined the League.

Panik has two types of basic attacks, sword and magic. When attacking with his magic basic attack, Panik deals (25%/50%/75% of Total AP) magic damage instead of physical damage. Magic basic attacks do not deal damage according to Panik's Total AD.

Once every 10/7/4 seconds, Panik's next basic attack will be with magic.

(This passive levels up at 6,11, and 16.)

Panik teleports to target enemy and strikes them with his sword, dealing (20/40/60/80/100 + 50% Bonus AD) physical damage and allowing Panik to target another enemy champion to cast "Power Push" for the next 3 seconds. If Panik's Total AD is higher than his Total AP, "Flash Strike" will stun the target for (.5/.75/1/1.25/1.5) seconds.

POWER PUSH : Panik blasts an enemy champion with his magic, dealing (10/20/30/40/50 + 25% Total AP) magic damage. If Panik's Total AP is higher than his Total AD, the enemy champion is also knocked back.

Cooldown : 12/11/10/9/8 Mana : 60/65/70/75/80 Range : 500

Panik requests more power, causing the planet to create a pool of energy below where Panik is standing. While standing in the pool, Panik becomes stronger and restores his energy, gaining (10/15/20/25/30) AD, (10/15/20/25/30) AP, and restoring (5/15/25/35/45) mana per second.

Enemy champions standing in the pool are slowed by (25% at all ranks) and lose (10/15/20/25/30) Health per second.

An enemy champion targeted by this ability becomes marked for (4/5/6/7/8) seconds. All of Panik's basic attacks against the marked enemy champion are used with his magic hand.

If Panik basic attacks another enemy champion while a target is marked, the target becomes unmarked.

Panik calls for the planet's power, forming a Crystal Orb around himself for (6/5/4) seconds and restoring (250/500/750) health. Enemy champions can deal damage to the orb.

If the orb is not broken in time, Panik will break out of it, dealing (50/100/150 + 20% bonus AD + 20% Total AP) magic damage to all enemy champions within (200) range.

Cooldown : 200/175/150 Mana : 300/400/500

Lore: Will need a bit more revision than just that: the only continent on Runeterra is the super-continent of Valoran on which all the other nations reside, though if I understood Ryze's lore correctly there may have been at least one other before the Rune Wars. They're gone now.

Nevertheless, a champ whose purpose is to destroy humanity in the name of Runeterra itself may have some overlap with the likes of Bard, Ivern, and some Targon champs, and I wonder how exactly he came to the conclusion that that was his purpose solely on the grounds of a little girl who was nice to him dying. Or why exactly he would feel the need to hide the fact he has magic powers when the likes of Lux, Jarvan, and Ezreal already exist. I understand you're basing him heavily off a fantasy character from a story of your own making and that's cool, but it doesn't look like you really put enough effort into making him fit in to the established lore of League of Legends as opposed to his own setting.

Also, the League of Legends itself isn't canon to the story pending a metaplot revision; it's just each champ pursuing their own storylines for their own reasons with the League just being an in-game excuse for you to play as them.

Passive: Basically sounds like Poppy's passive except focused more on dealing bonus magic damage at range while otherwise having melee AA's than the whole shield ricochet pickup thing.

Q: Point-and-click teleport-to-target engage with recast for bonus magic damage. Not too unusual an ability type, but the fact that its effects differ depending on stat differences does strike me as odd, especially considering the recast disengage sounds like it may be more useful than the rather brief melee range stun.

W: I was going to say a power that freely restores mana could give him unprecedented lane sustain and possibly overpower him, but then I did some math and noticed the drastic diminishing returns so it's less an active mana restore and more encouragement to stay in the circle as much as possible to reduce its effective cost.

E: This basically sounds like Kayle's E except limited to only focusing on one champion at a time. Not sure how I feel about that.

R: Sounds a bit like a combination of Anivia's passive and Galio's ult, though I will say you might want to consider adding a bit of percent max health or percent bonus health boost to that heal otherwise if you build tank you're quickly going to outpace those flat values being anything approaching useful.

I like the champ a lot, but actually i would be really interested in reading the novel you're talking about, i read a lot of fantasy.

Every ability is pretty unique and individually pretty well designed, buuut:

  1. Passive is literally "deal less auto attack damage" in the earlygame, and it also synergizes really badly with the entire hybrid concept.
  2. I really don't think this guys hould be hybrid at all. It's basically another way of making the kit less interesting and more clunky, since it makes him way too good of an all-arounder, which lowers weak points and high points of the character, making it both less fun to play as and against. There's also the entire fact that you can't build around it, which makes it impossible to build against them when they're somewhat ahead.
  3. You seem to want to give different playstyles depending on whether he goes ap or ad in his Q. I don't really agree with this. When you play a champion you play them for a specific playstyle, not for 2 potential different playstylse. Kha is almost like this, but he is more about adapting depending on situation than planning what to go at the start of the match.
  4. The kit doesn't really seem to fit extremely well together. The synergy between his E and Q seems kind of alright in synergy. I mean, the knockback allows him to single out an opponent (by pushing away another) and the dash works well with the auto-attcking playstyle. His W seems like an ability that would fit better on a champion that actually wants to remain in one area (this guy on the other hand has mobility, knockback, and is partially ap). His R seems like complete randomness. I mean, what does a destructible ball that explodes into an AOE around you synergize with a single-target auto attacker. It should be something that fits more into his concept, something that gives him the opportunity to be a decent teamfighter but still goes with the single-target ap scaling auto attacks concept that he has. His heal works well though (but it should prolly scale with a tiny bit of ap), especially if you make it a DoT heal, since they work pretty well with duelist-ish characters.
  5. The passive seems like nothing but a trading tool and an excuse to not put too much text in his E ability. It wouldn't really add any unique gameplay that a passive should. It's basically Shens old passive.

Hey, so after reading the lore and seeing what you had in the way of abilities. I noticed that, and correct me if I'm wrong, but you are trying to create a hybrid "battle Mage"? Personally I think this is an awesome idea.

however, the issue you are having with, His passive: BALANCED OFFENSIVE : Panik has two types of basic attacks, sword and magic. The problem with this is that you are making it more mage than hybrid. One way to fix this, could be to do something like make his AD scale off of AP, and his AP scale off of AD, so to cause more AP damage you would need to build and AD item, and to cause more physical damage you would have to build and AP item. Thus, giving him a more static build using any item that scales both AP and AD like item 3146 item 3124 as well as giving a good use of items like item 3115 where it will still give him the AP from the item scaled to as AD, as well as applying the added AP damage in hit which still scales from AP, as well as with an item like item 3285. So you wouldn't have it remove his damage from his magic basic attack, and still keeping that battle mage style of game play. While also now allowing him to build items based on the situation, rather than at the start of the match.

His Q: Flash Strike / Power Push I love how this would work, i would just switch the scales to vise versa like this... FLASH STRIKE : Panik teleports to target enemy and strikes them with his sword, dealing (20/40/60/80/100 + 25% Bonus AP) physical damage and allowing Panik to target another enemy champion to cast "Power Push" for the next 3 seconds. If Panik's Total AD is higher than his Total AP, "Flash Strike" will stun the target for (.5/.75/1/1.25/1.5) seconds. POWER PUSH : Panik blasts an enemy champion with his magic, dealing (10/20/30/40/50 + 50% Total AD) magic damage. If Panik's Total AP is higher than his Total AD, the enemy champion is also knocked back.

This i think would create a unique way to ensure the hybrid build, as well as tie it in to his reworked passive.

His W: i like it. Except maybe add a magic barrier shield due to the fact that its stationary, and any mage wont be in range of the circle to take that health damage for standing in it, as well as making him an easy target to skill shot from enemy mages like Brand or even a Blitzcrank grab.

His E: Again, I like it, however i would add something like every 3rd/4th attack on that champion spreads the mark to the next closest enemy champions around them within 500ish or so range.

His Ult/R: I mean no offense, but this ult makes no sense with this champion at all... its just kinda a bigger version of Sion E? (might be W:)... but it heals you... i just doesn't work well with his kit. How about something like this that fits better with his lore and kit.

Unleashed on to the World: Panik calls for the planet's power, emitting energy around himself channeling for (4/5/6) seconds dealing (15/20/25 + 25% total AD and 15% total AP) to all enemies within (375) range and restoring (20/30/40% +2% of max health) health. after the channeling is complete it erupts dealing (50/100/150 + 20% bonus AD + 20% Total AP) magic damage to all enemy champions within (500) range.

Cooldown : 200/140/80 Mana : 300/400/500
