Welcome to the League of Legends Champion Reveal for Aurixen Nolar - The Traitor General.

Aurixen is a melee champion, wearing medium armor to emphasize speed and durability, and wields two swords that he is incredibly skilled with. An incredibly strong battle hardened warrior, Aurixen becomes more durable the stronger he becomes.

This champion is based off a tragic fantasy novel i'm currently writing. If you care, i'll link it directly below this.

LORE

*"In the light... I see your father, my Prince. He's so ashamed of you."

  • Aurixen Nolar*

(While the lore of this champion has been changed to adapt to League of Legends, there will still be spoilers ahead for anyone who is interested in the real story.)

Cerventen was a city that not many knew existed. Before being obliterated by the Prince who swore to protect its people, it was one of the most prosperous and well respected cities in the land, ruled by one of the greatest Kings history has ever known. Just like this great King, Cerventen had a similar General for its army, one of the greatest Generals history has ever known. This General was Aurixen Nolar.

Risen quickly through the ranks of his army due to his incredible skill in battle, Aurixen was near instantly noticed by his King and invited to a private meeting in the throne room. Aurixen was promptly declared the General of the city's army, and led it to only victories, not losing one battle in his many years as General.

Aurixen's ability came from his masterful skills with dual swords, which he heavily favored as his weapons of choice over the normal sword and shield. His speed, agility, and durability were without equal in any soldier the King had seen before. He learned to control his adrenaline so well, that it seemed the more enraged he became, the more immune to pain he was. As typical in such a battle hardened warrior, Aurixen was completely emotionless on the outside, while his true feelings on the inside were known only to his family and one other man. This man was his Prince, Panik Cinestar.

After reaching appropriate age, the King declared his adopted son, Prince Panik, would join the army. Aurixen didn't understand this, but because of his love for his King and city, he respected the decision and took the Prince under his wing, teaching him personally. Aurixen was clearly attached to the Prince, made obvious by forming a search party for the Prince of his own free will when Panik went missing one day. Though Aurixen didn't realize it, Panik truly understood the real feelings behind Aurixen's emotionless appearance, and the two cared for each other as friends and allies.

With the death of their King after a mysterious murder, Panik was left a broken Prince, and Aurixen started to pay close attention to the newly appointed King, the brother of the now dead King. This new King decided that in order to command the type of respect his brother received, he needed to establish dominance in the world and make every other living person fear him. Panik, now broken as a Prince and man, let his honor take complete hold of him and swore himself by the King of his city, believing this new King was the only family he had left. Aurixen didn't like this, especially after he was ordered to take a group of soldiers and massacre a small town nearby to show people Cerventen was not to be messed with. Aurixen refused, and Panik was ordered to take the group instead.

Unknown to anyone but himself and the other soldiers, Aurixen had set up Panik's squad himself, and ordered them not to allow Panik to destroy the town. However, Panik returned and confronted Aurixen, knowing what happened. Aurixen refused to fight his Prince, knowing secretly he would not be able to win, and was swiftly defeated. As Panik prepared to finish off Aurixen, he was caught off guard with a flash of light, and Aurixen was transported away. He found himself in front of the summoners of the League of Legends. Wishing to forget about his old life and only able to survive by having something to fight for, Aurixen joined the League.

ABILITIES (Ability icons are from the MMO Tera)

http://i.imgur.com/7sZMaQg.png "Defensive Offense" (Passive)

For every other basic attack Aurixen lands on an enemy champion, minion, or monster, he gains a stack of 'Agile Blader' which increases his armor and magic resistance by 3. Aurixen can only have up to 5 stacks of 'Agile Blader' on him at a time.

When Aurixen has 5 stacks of 'Agile Blader' and auto attacks an enemy, he attacks with both blades at the same time, dealing double damage and losing all stacks of 'Agile Blader'.

http://i.imgur.com/YPZz7IP.png "Breakthrough" (Q)

Aurixen prepares to lunge himself forward a distance with his blades pointed in front of him, ignoring unit/champion collision. The ability can be charged for up to 3 seconds, with range increasing with each second (He is slowed by 25% while charging). Any champions that Aurixen passes through take (50/70/90/110/130 + 100% Bonus AD) physical damage. If Aurixen damages an enemy champion with this ability, he gains 4%/5%/6%/7%/8% movement speed for 2 seconds. This effect can only be applied once per cast.

Cooldown : 12/11/10/9/8 Mana : 60/65/70/75/80 Range : 200(1s)/300(2s)/400(3s)

http://i.imgur.com/ScF4ntk.png "Escapist" (W)

Passive : Each time Aurixen basic attacks an enemy minion, monster, or champion, his attack speed is increased by (1%/1.5%/2%/2.5%/3%). This can be stacked up to 4 times and is removed if Aurixen has not basic attacked an enemy minion, monster, or champion for 5 seconds.

Active : For 3 seconds after this ability is activated, if Aurixen basic attacks an enemy champion, any crowd control effects caused by the enemy champion onto Aurixen are removed.

Cooldown : 18/16/14/12/10 Mana : 70/80/90/100/110

http://i.imgur.com/z3q4D3x.png "To the Wall" (E)

Aurixen lunges both of his blades into his target, knocking it back a medium distance and dealing (40/50/60/70/80 + 50% bonus AD) magic damage. If the target is knocked into a wall, structure, or enemy champion, it takes an additional (40/50/60/70/80 + 25% Bonus AD) magic damage, and Aurixen can activate the ability again within 3 seconds. During these 3 seconds, Aurixen is preparing to unleash the second strike, so his movement speed is decreased by 25%.

On the second cast, Aurixen lunges himself into the enemy champion, dealing (20/40/60/80/100 + 100% Total AP) physical damage and shredding the enemy champion's armor by (10/20/30) for (2/3/4/5/6) seconds. This second cast applies on-hit effects.

Cooldown : 18/16/14/12/10 Mana : 80 Range : 125

http://i.imgur.com/mYDXmNo.png ** "My Honorable Oath" (R)**

Aurixen remembers the oath he made when appointed General to protect and lead his brothers in arms. This ability can only be activated on an allied champion that is below 50% HP, and Aurixen cannot use other abilities during the duration.

For (3/4/5) seconds, whenever the allied champion that is targeted by this ability would receive damage, Aurixen teleports to the allied champion and takes the damage instead. If Aurixen is killed while this ability is active, he unleashes a battle cry, granting a 'VENGEANCE' buff on allied champions within 300 units of his death location. This buff increases attack damage by (10/20/30) and ability power by (10/15/20).

Cooldown : 170/150/130 Mana : 150/160/170 Duration : 3/4/5 seconds

CHAMPION QUOTES

A Champion not needing to build mr/armor is way too unbalanced

This would be an awesome new champion! I love how in depth you were throughout the entire post! Great job, I hope to see a champion like this released!

I have to say I love pretty much all of these abilities besides the W, it just seems way too boring and doesn't create interaction or counterplay. I was going to give you some shit for his ultimate basically being Riven but it seems cool enough to let slide.

The real problem here though is that passive, it is simply too much and doesn't add any unique elements to him and at 400 AD would be close to Jax's ULTIMATE.

My suggestion for a passive would be something related to the fact he primarily uses two swords or at least something pertaining more to his character. Just throwing out a random example

Mirror Strike: "Every basic attack or ability builds Aurixen's 'adrenaline', when his adrenaline reaches 100 his next ability cast will have it's cooldown removed.

Think of it kind of like Rengar's empowered abilities, simply without an additional effect, this could allow you to create some powerful combos by using breakthrough twice in a teamfight or using "to the wall" to push an enemy close a wall, and then again to push them into it and pin them. This could be extremely powerful in the right situations, but also balanced by making it so it takes a while to build up adrenaline or having it deplete when not in combat.

So I like well thought out and in depth this concept is, and I would totally play this champ, because he'd be insanely OP....

Build straight AD and health, get defenses for free, don't even really need health all that much anyway.

Ridiculous gap closer, a dash AND a speed boost is just stupid, essentially you're making it so you CANNOT kite him.

His W is just kind of Irelia's passive exactly but with an added bonus of toggling it so not only can he not be kited but his overall catch potential is also ridiculous.

His E is just Lee Sin's and Vayne's put together, nothing is taken away aside from the true vision on Lee Sin's Q and you need Vayne's wall stun to proc the second "kick." This ability is almost two entire abilities put together, if this isn't obviously overpowered then I don't know what to say.

Finally his R is just Riven's already OP ultimate but add in Aatrox's Q on top of it. Again almost two entire abilities put into one, STILL stupidly OP.

So again great job with the post and how making it so thorough, but this champ would be broken as all h*ll.

Vicarious117, said something similar, but I decided to do some math. Right now, he can build item 3074 item 3031 item 3072 another item 3072 , then another item 3031 or item 3072 (maybe item 3139 if they have so much cc your W can't handle it), the last item being item 3083 and have 3008 hp, 395 AD, 92 or 137 MR (probably wanna go item 3139 actually, now that I do calculations, though another item 3072, is perfectly viable), 112 Armor, (with only 1 item that gives one these stats, the rest crit, ad, and aoe damage) I realize these items are expensive, but realistically, with this kind of champ, you're winning anyway (core item is item 3072, then a item 3074 ). This build is basically a cheese adc build with one health item, and if you're not main tank, who needs item 3083 buy another item 3072, for 475 AD, 2008 hp, 100 or 145 MR, 120 Armor (with now NO health and one MR item/s, and still viable). Reduce the scaling on his passive and w, so this champ has to use more slots on item 3143 item 3065 item 3022 item 3102, or he's incredibly tanky, with insane damage capabilities, and ridiculous cc counter ability (his w plus the item 3139).

Oh yeah, seeing this champ as it is in action would be beyond badass, with all the Bloodthirsters, in a team fight, he could just stand there attacking everyone, and end the fight with full health, and once he's full build, never back at low health, just go to a jungle camp and come back in at full health (Bjergsen did something similar as Zed in URF mode, its on Youtube). To be honest, a pro player could single-handedly contest every single objective in the game. He splitpushes, the enemy team either sends two people minimum to try to take him down, (or the Aurixen on their team, every team would have one, or lose the game) and lose the 3v5 in mid lane, or sends too few and loses 1-2 people for 30+ seconds later in the game, while he continues pushing after lifestealing up to full at a camp, or rejoins his team for an utterly depressing final push.

Vivid Mandala10/20/2014, 12:10:44 AM1 votes

But regardless of these caveats, this champion's lore and quotes, taunts, jokes, and other abilities look really nice and will be cool to hear and see in action, whenever Rito sees your post. But actually on second thought, the passive still might be (unless made almost negligible scaling, so useless) a nightmare to find a balance for, and may need to be replaced altogether because all it does is help this champ to free up an item slot for more damage while still having high tanky stats, so something like the Mirror Strike Chaz5 suggested might work better.

Updated abilities! Thank you to everyone for the awesome feedback, I've decided to go for a different approach with this champion. I feel with being a dual sword wielding warrior, there should be greater emphasis on his basic attacks. His W and passive have been completely changed to reflect this.

His Q has been slightly altered to make him less of an OP, split-pushing, uncatchable machine. The range has been decreased and the movement speed buff has been reworded to further emphasize that it can only be activated once regardless of how many enemy champions have taken damage.

His E has also been changed thanks to people's feedback of it basically being Vayne's E with an additional effect. The stun has been removed from the first cast and I would like to further emphasize that he has to be in melee range to activate the ability at all. There is now an armor shred on the second cast, caused by hitting a structure or wall.

His Ultimate has also been completely changed to make him feel like more of a General/Leader. I really like this new effect and think it's pretty unique, but of course I'd love some feedback on everything I've changed.

I love so god damn much the 2º part of the E mechanic

Also I think it would be better to the first part of E scaling on AP and the second part scaling on AD, the major part of the damage should be on what the champion focus on (In this case it's a AD champion)
