Vance, the Last Son of Noxus

Foreword This is the first time I've tried to create a champion so constructive criticism and suggestions are welcome. His kit is just the abilities at the moment as I am still looking into costs/cooldowns/damage. What I was trying to go for was a champion who was weak on his own giving him a tough early-mid game during laning phase but allowed him to thrive during teamfights come late game.

Lore

It is common knowledge that the Crown Prince of Noxus once tried to take to the throne and overthrow the evils done by the Noxian High Command, it is further common knowledge that the coup failed. However what is known only to very few is that the son of the crown prince lives still, a new heir to the buried throne of Noxus: Vance. After his father’s coup failed Vance couldn’t retreat through Noxus for he knew he would be slaughtered on sight, this left him only one option and that was to retreat deep in the underground ruins below Noxus, the skeleton of the old city upon which Noxus stands. Vance fled deep into the heart of this ghost city so far that not even Swain would follow, for fear of upsetting the grave of long-dead Noxian royalty. After running all night and day Vance collapsed in the old Royal Chapel. He used his last strength to prop himself against a wall using his shattered sword to aid his weak body. There he lay for what seemed like an eternity, it was in that stone tomb that he should have lay dead but something kept him alive. A desire for revenge so great it sustained him, the desire to attain what he deserved, the desire to destroy those who slaughtered his family like cowards in the shadows. The spirits of the old Noxian Kings felt the fury of one of their own and saw in him opportunity, opportunity to restore Noxus to the domineering glory it once was. So they imbued him with their own power, fifteen great kings poured their very essence into Vance and although he was physically unchanged, he was now more than a mere man. With the strength of fifteen generations of Noxian Royalty Vance climbed out from the barren darkness and with a single minded objective headed straight to where he would get the most immediate results: to the Institue of War, to the Field of Justice. And to Jericho Swain.

Abilities

Passive – Vendetta Basic attacks against Vance inflict the attacker with “Vendetta” stacks; each stack provides a small amount of mana bleed and caps at five stacks. After reaching five stacks they will expire and cannot be inflicted for a short time. Q – Bloodright Passive: The more blood Vance spills the stronger he becomes, gaining 30 health points for each assist and 50 health points for each champion kill. Noxian champions grant 31/51. Active: Vance unleashes a roar of rage that slows all enemies in an area around him. W – Reap Vance swings his glaive in a full circle inflicting damage and reducing the armour of all enemies hit. E – Gallows Vance swing his glaive in a vicious upwards strike inflicting medium damage and if his opponent has less health that Vance they are knocked into the air, if they have less health Vance gains 10% armour and magic resist for 3 seconds (does not stack with bonus stats gained from Ultimate). R – The Blood of Noxus Vance unleashes the spirits of his ancestor Kings in an area around him. Lance takes 10% of the armour and magic resist stats from each friendly champion within the radius and adds it to his own stats for 7 seconds and teammates within his aura field become immune to lifesteal.

Trivia

• Vance’s true age is 48 but appears as only 22. This is because his Royal Noxian blood slows the physical aging process.
• When Vance talks his multiple other voices can be faintly heard, these are the voices of the dead Kings speaking through him.
• Lance’s blade, Vendetta, is made from steel infused with dragon’s blood making it nigh-indestructible; because of this Vance has frequently feuded with Shyvana both on and off the Fields of Justice.
• Vladimir has commented that Vance’s blood tastes of decay further feeding rumours that Vance is medically dead but lives through some form of ancient blood magic.
• It is believed in certain circles that Vance may in fact be the estranged elder brother of a certain young female champion with an affinity for magic.
• Vance refers to himself as “we”.
