A question for those who want a gay Champion...

What is it you're looking for in a gay champion? How exactly do you do create one in a way that satisfies those who champion the LGBT cause without being just a blatant "I'M GAY, I'M FABULOUS, LOOK AT ME" stereotype?

When people were clamoring for a black champion it took Riot a long time to create Lucian, but a black man really isn't that difficult to portray. Just make a black man and find a cool persona (just like you would do with any white/purple/blue skinned champion). But how do you portray an openly gay person without delving into stereotypes? This is under the assumption that a fairy prancing around in short shorts slapping people and with a voice-over saying "They are such big sillies" would be frowned upon. It would certainly never end up in league. Do you just want an effeminate voice-over with lines unrelated to sexual orientation? Would a single sentence in their lore, while making an interesting character be good enough? Of course it would be on a new champion, but something like "Thresh stole the soul of Lucian's husband, and lucian is trying to free him" while keeping his current personality and voice-overs intact? Or is there something else?

If you have an example of a well-portrayed gay man or a concept of a character that is both gay and interesting and that would fit in with league I'm willing to switch my opinion that it can't be done (not that I would necessarily agree or disagree with the need for one, but maybe you can show that it is at least possible).
