I love all the League of Legends trailers so much!!! But why are they all just based upon the lore of the characters? I mean, I donʻt have a problem with it. Seeing stuff like "The ClimbLucian " or "Call of PowerRyze " or recently "AwakenIrelia " are all what I was assume based on the championʻs lore. Iʻm fine with that, it encourages people to read their stories. However, I remember when they released trailers based on the game on Summonerʻs Rift like "A New DawnAhri " or "A Twist of FateTwistedFate ".

Im all for lore trailers, but, with how far the animation and music production has gone in League, I like to see a new profound, detailed design of champions fighting on Summonerʻs Rift again.

Well, the advertisements they release are kinda what you are looking for, aren't they? Like this, for example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jreASKl57A8

I don't think Awaken is based in lore at all. Unless a Rioter has said it is, don't think it is.

Some reasoning as to why it can't be lore based.

Namely, Sion did not serve in the Ionia invasion. During the Noxian invasion Irelia was only 14, not who she currently is.

Yasuo did not fight alongside other important figures for Ionia. And as Akali is around 20 ish she would have been 5 during the war, making that impossible.

Even if the story was in modern league times, Yasuo is currently with Riven, meaning it makes no sense for one to be in Noxus and the other in Ionia.
