Silver Elo: Self-Rightous "smurf" players

Sad gold IV player here. I probably just came here to vent, but, why all these players that think of themselves so highly? Im talking about the players that call themselves "smurfs" and then go off and say they are a diamond or plat with three accounts or something. Seriously, once they start losing, they trash to whole team about how they forever will be low elo and that he are much better. Really, do they got nothing better to do than go back into low elo hell and shit talk?

Many will say "just mute him" but muting them wont stop them from wanting to int the game because "its their second/third account so it doesnʻt matter" and it ruins the game for everyone else. Can you not just play the fucking game. Bare the fuck through like everyone else instead being a little bitch about your team and speaking.

There are more people claiming they are diamond smurfs than diamond players. I never saw the appeal of a smurf or side account anyways. I couldn't even bother leveling one up to 30 because it was such a cumbersome waste of time. I want all of my hard work on one account with the good and bad times all in one place, which makes me work harder because I know it's all I got. I never really cared much for putting people in their place when I was diamond or if I had to justify my actions because of it, because I'm here to play the game not keyboard warrior. Also I feel like splitting my elo across different accounts will make me play worse because I can get used to lower elos and then struggle against higher elos.

Side note: I don't really care where I end up in ranked anymore because I climbed to diamond a few times so now I just play ranked and try my best but won't have any hangups if I get placed below diamond, just as long as I get to gold for the victorious skins and chromas then I'm all set :3

In Korea, in order to get an account in LOL, it has to be matched up with the equivalent of a social security number.

Now I wouldnt trust Riot with my SSN, but if their is 0 way to conclusively tie one person with one account then you will always get people that spam many accounts, or once they get banned will just create a new account.

Ah, I remember in seasons 2 and 3 when I started playing ranked some dude always stole mid, locked Corki, and said they were a diamond smurf before feeding horribly. Memories, man.

The very few times I've heard someone go on about how "This is their smurf" and "I'm Grand master Supreme Platinum 3 on my main" I have the urge to type "Well you're 0/8 so that means jack shit right now". Being a proud member of bronze I can happily say that they either rarely exist in my elo, or I have managed to avoid them all together and for either of those I am grateful

The sheer amount of Tryndamere "smurfs". I doubt smurfs would choose something droll like Tryndamere so I see through that lie.

I remember this one occasion, in ranked. I picked fill and support.

and got in a game, and I locked in Taric without really thinking. and someone said "Taric" and of course said he was good. but then relise I Was top. So when we got in a game people asked why, I said I was a 'Smurf'(which I wasnt) to hopefully not crush any spirits.

but the damage was already done, as everyone just lost lane, and I couldnt fight the enemy top lane. I didnt die, but I was under turret. and as a support main. Farming under turret is rather difficult. We lost. But only the mid laner flamed me, but the rest of the team were angry at him for feeding bot(for roaming to much and dying) and then losing lane before the 8min mark. causing the enemy mid laner to roam a lot. Rather a fun game still. Got to practice farming under turret.

That's because if you're a smurf stuck in silver, you're most likely not a "smurf", more of a player who is hardstuck on their main account and believes by some miracle that if they make a second account, they'll bypass it. And then they don't. That's one of the reasons I think low elo accounts for such a large amount of the playerbase. The only exception I see here is people who share accounts with a low elo player to boost friends. Obviously, account sharing isn't allowed, but people still do it.

Bottom line: If you're a smurf and you're struggling against anyone Gold or below, you're most likely NOT a smurf. I can tell you from personal experience that the skill gap between the two is MASSIVE. If you want evidence, search up the rank distribution. Being High plat already makes you in the top 5% of all players and Plat is supposed to be an average rank.

The biggest thing i cant stand:

Is when someone is trying to tell you how to play the game/your champ, when they themselves are going 0-4-0. Like, dont worry about me, worry about yourself, maybe youll do better. Had this game where i was playing as Xin Zhao, my team would NOT STOP going 3v5s, and whine that i was afk farming, and whoever else, was refusing to group. I was like man, you guys went straight to dragon, while im trying to stop the Tryn with TP from backdooring our topTier 2 tower, and our ADC is bot lane trying to push the wave for dragon. Then you guys get dumpstered, not my problem.
