We can make Helmet Bro a reality

Krizalid·7/5/2015, 2:40:23 PM·62 votes·6,904 views

All we need to do is to make a balanced version of him. Riot said that he's too overpowered in the fan concept and that's why they can't add him. But! If LoL community unites and together makes an absolutely balanced version of him, we can bring him to life! Because what matters is the concept, the idea, character himself, right, right? http://i.ytimg.com/vi/u5914rhwDoQ/maxresdefault.jpg

**UPD: We are pretty active and that's good! Upvote the most satisfying kits and lore pieces, so I'll add them to the main post. I think it will make our life easier. **

A few interesting points on Helmet Bro's (not final name, codename for now) character. His recent appearances in splash arts kind of make him the punching bag of League, so this should definitely be preserved in his theme and kit. His utter normalness is another defining factor, as is his ability to lose over and over without losing the courage to challenge any creature. Is his just arrogant and forgetful? Is he an experienced survivor? Where does he hail from? Why does he fight? Consider these as you design the character. I've got a few ideas for abilities (not necessarily for use together) : When Helmet Bro dies he gains experience over time. Deaths, kills and assists all grant a stack of "Just a Name", granting AD and Armor per stack.

  • More thematic than anything, but I'm convinced that the Helmet Bro we see is never the same one twice. Every time he respawns, his model is slightly different, for example a ponytail peeking out from under the helmet, or a change in skin tone. Helmet Bro briefly turns invulnerable and dashes a short distance in target direction.

  • A reactionary defense ability. The dash is nowhere near long enough to pass walls, but allows Helmet Bro to dodge threatening skillshots in high intensity situations. Long cooldown. Helmet Bro passively gains movement speed towards enemy champions if he has not attacked within the past 8 seconds. Upon activation, Helmet Bro gains a huge movement speed boost and empowers his next basic attack to deal true damage.

  • Encourages striking first and boldly going where no teammate really wants to go. Helmet Bro is a frontliner, so he should be able to keep up with the front line. True damage supports charging in no matter who he is up against. Helmet Bro shakes off his assailants, briefly stunning and knocking back all surrounding enemies in a short radius. Helmet Bro gains a shield based on how many units were knocked back.

  • Knockback distance and duration are both rather short. This gives Helmet Bro some peel and extra tankiness plus extra incentive to be in the middle of a fight. Allows him to interrupt channels and disrupt carries. Helmet Bro spreads out his arms and charges forward after a brief delay, knocking back and damaging all enemies he collides with.

  • His standard peeling ability. Forces enemy carries away from his backline. Not a very long charge, but wider than his model. Helmet Bro takes off his helmet and places it on the field, creating a zone of peace in a large radius around him. The radius of this area increases based on how many champions are dead at the moment of casting. All champions within the field are silenced and blinded until the field dissipates. All enemy champions are also slowed. The zone can last for up to 3 seconds, but Helmet Bro can dissipate it after 1 second.

  • This is definitely the ability I had the most fun with. With all the dead Helmet Bros out there, this particular Helmet Bro must understand the feeling of loss. I think it's a nice touch to his brave, humble, overwhelmingly normal yet still beloved character.

P.S. Everyone seems to think that because Helmet Bro originally appeared in the Vel'koz trailer he needs some void powers, but he's appeared countless other times in new splash arts and even as part of Summoner's Rift. There's no point in designing a champ to be Kassadin 2.0, so this concept should focus on his more unique aspects.

Can I suggest dropping the bro out of his name. You can use Helmet in many ways with different languages (shufflepancake's idea). I've tried like almost 10 languages (to be fair google translate is bad though) and when ever I put "bro" I get "bro" in every one. I liked one language's thing for Helmet though, may I suggest Casco (spanish) or maybe Casque (french). That's just my suggestion though, do with as you please.

I hope they change his name.. Maybe Helmet bro in a different language xD

How about a good ol' LORE! I'll give some ideas: -Lost brother of Talon, separated at birth, they don't know each other but they look alike -Because of separation, he was taken away as a baby in the Noxus/Ionia war to Ionia and was raised there (With the whole place being all crazy with superpowers and stuff, he was intrigued by all of that and wanted to go beyond what humans can go cough Kassadin cough) -As he was exploring, he met Crazed Lazor Tentacles and got away from him and got his powers and blabla void blabla Now you guys:

I say it's possible but not the name helmet bro. I see him based on the animation of him and the fan art as basically a shadow night that plays off speed or some short of dark energy that makes him teleport or speed up and lock down people. Just please, if any character is made, stop making supports! Azir, Bard, Tahm, and who knows who else all have support based kits or spells and it bothers me so much. I know I'm not that important but when the first I saw azir I thought he was going to be support and I'm sure Tahm would be too but if they switched his ult from that stupid teleport he could fit as an amazing top and jungle. Although the passive is nice. So if "Helmet Bro" becomes a character, top lane or jungle would most likely be the best.

lore for helmet bro- he opened his eyes only to see huge breasts on him. turns out sona kept him alive. the summoners captured velkoz and found out about his doings. dozens of men lost to his overwhelming power. knowing this made him relieved that now he will be avenged. Instead the league approached a different path. They traded velkoz's life for what they seek the most, knowledge. knowing that secrets will be revealed regarding the void and icathia, they let him take part in the fields of justice. As helmet bro was being treated for his injuries in Ionia, sona gave him this disturbing news. Filled with anger to avenge his brothers he went towards league. The only way to do that was to enter the league itself. "If singed is allowed, I should be allowed too!" he screamed towards the summoners. but they turned a blind eye towards him due to the lack of his power. Little did he knew that once you are touched with the power of the void, you are no longer a mere human. He sat down, mourned, wishing that somehow he could know what he was capable of, what powers he had within him. He saw a figure coming out of the dark, nothing he could see but a mere silhouette ... SLASH!!! A blade almost cut him as he dodged it, like he did last time. It was his own sword after the void encounter. Vibrant dark purple, almost withered at the tip, it made him remember that night. "Pick it up, and know who you are...." said the silhouette, with a voice so deep that helmet bro cudnt disagree. And as soon as he touched the sword, there was the abyssal-deep vibration he had felt before throughout his body. "AAAAAAAAARGH" he shouted as he raised his sword towards the dark sky, with eyes no more of a human. He was on his knees due to such overwhelming power. then he felt a palm placed on his left shoulder. The silhouette was no more black. It wasnt a human after all. As they both looked towards the League headquarters, the semi-human said:

"Justice will be served...."

Helmet Bro - The ultimate Broski chump guy

Passive- Red shirtability. As a constant chump guy bro, Helmet Bro provides excellent distractions to the enemy. All allies within range of Helmet Bro take 15% reduced damage. As a side effect, anytime his passive is utilized, Helmet Bro is revealed for 5 seconds to all enemies.

Q- Sword Dash. Helmet Bro lunges forward and strikes in a line, dealing x (+50%AD) damage and knocking aside any enemies he hits. He then looses 50% of his speed for 3 seconds, and gains 10-25% damage reduction.

W- Cape sweep. Spinning around in a circle and sweeping his cape, Helmet Bro dodges the next incoming ability and applies a confusion effect (similar to fear) to any enemies in his immediate vicinity.

E- Man of Action. Helmet Bro is a true man of action. He gains bonus AD, speed, and armor for every successful Auto Attack on the enemy, stacking up to 7 times. These stacks remain for 5 seconds while not in combat. You can activate Man of Action to automatically reduce the cooldown on active items in your inventory to zero.

R- Fate of the Broski. Ultimately, Helmet Bro is just a man, in a realm of monsters and heros from our imagination. To stand up to these truly legendary figures as a meer soildier is both foolhardy and extremely brave. Should Helmet Bro be killed while any of his allies were saved by his passive he leaves a grave marker on the field of justice. Enemies who enter the field have their cooldowns increased and both their HP and MP regen lowered. Allies who enter the field gain bonus armor and magic resist. They can also click on the grave marker and activate it, summoning Helmet Bro to their side from anywhere on the map. This removes the grave marker.

I want another simple champion, more focused on protecting his allies than dealing damage. He'd be melee, and a strong counter-pick to a high magic dmg/CC team.

Innate: Gains stacking %damage reduction every time he takes damage from champions, up to an amount.

Similar to Graves: the longer you're in the fight, the more you can stand. Of course it's going to be stronger than Graves though, as %dmg reduction stacks off of Armor/MR too.

Q: Modifies next AA to be ranged. Also restores a small amount of HP if the enemy hit was a champion.

Good for poke/sustain in lane, very similar to Shen's Q. Doesn't serve much purpose in the later game, though, which is balanced out by his other abilities, which are strong. The range on the AA is short, maybe 450 - 500. He could zap with his sword or something, and the AA would hit instantly.

W: Passively gains a flat MR & Tenacity bonus.

Like stated, is completely passive. Perhaps 5/10/15/20/25 MR and Tenacity as you level up the ability? From what I feel, could make taking Helmet Bro mid possible.

E: Places a magic shield on an ally. Negates any CC, and any damage the shield takes gets transferred to Helmet Bro instead of the ally. If a spell gets blocked by the shield, the caster is silenced for a short amount of time.

Functions similarly to Morgana's Black Shield. You can only place it on allied champions (including yourself). Would protect that ally from danger, but also serves the purpose of giving the offender two choices; "Do I cast a spell to try and hurt Helmet Bro, even though I will get silenced", or "Should I just not target the champion with the shield, and target helmet bro directly". Either way it's a win for your ally, because they don't get hurt. You do instead.

R: Causes all nearby spells cast to automatically target him, and he becomes immune to magic damage.

This includes skillshots, targeted abilities, currently ticking DoT's, literally any effect that is being thrown or has been thrown on your allies, and redirects them to you. Most abilities being magic damage, your magic immunity means that you take very little damage and your teammates are unharmed, and your enemies are frustrated. It's like a taunt, but for spells.

Appearance: Wield two sword, one normal, the other one is broken blade but void magic form an energy blade when ever it is used. His tattered cloak is with him. And his helmet

Ability: [P] Survivor: For each 1.5% health missing Clogad gain 1% damage reduction [Q] Purification Range: 1250 Cost:30/40/50/60/70 Mana CD: 8 Width: 500-50 Swiping with his Void blade, Helmet Bro sends out a broad projectile that gets wider the shorter range it is, and thinner the longer range it is. Deals 70/115/160/205/250 (+ 40% AP) magic damage. The projectile dispel all other projectile on collision. [W] Cloak of the dead. CD: 22/19/16/13/10 Helmet Bro cover himself with his cloak for 1 seconds. It block the next spell hit, and if Helmet Bro successfully block a spell, he redirect the energy to his blade, dealing extra 30/40/50/60/70(+ 40% AP) magic damage on hit and steal 5% mr for 4 seconds, stacking up to 5 times for the next 4 seconds. [E] Headstrong CD: 16/14/12/10/8 Cost: 80 Mana Range: 600 Passive: Helmet Bro helmet hardens in the face of adversity. Each time a damage instance is dealt to Helmet Bro by an ability, he gain a stack of Resilience for 3 seconds, stacking up to 10 times. Each stack of Resilience grant him 0.6/0.7/0.8/0.9/1 % max health regen per second. Active: After a brief delay, Helmet bro dashes in the targeted direction. Upon collision with an enemy champion, he stop and headbutt them, dealing 9/10/11/12/13% (+ 3% per 100 AP) of target's maximum health and stun them for 0.15 seconds per Resilience stack. [R] Brother's in Arm. CD between resurection: 3/2/1 Everytime an ally dies within Helmet Bro vincinity, he gains a charge for 10 seconds. Every time Helmet Bro dies, consume a charge and revive him to 40/60/80% max health

Thematic:

Helmet Bro, for me, first and foremost is a survivor, a last man standing, a mortal that some how survive the world of monster and gods by the skin of his teeth and his massive grit Passive: His survival instinct kicks in, making him incredibly hard to kill the lower he gets, facilitating miraculous survival scenario or winning trade by a hair line Q: His offensive bread and butter, a skillshot that deals decent damage, but the main component is the play with its width and length. Do you aim far away, making it harder to hit and not block anything, but have range, or do you aim it close, making it an almost spammable Windwall with very short duration but don't really hit anything W: His main defense, a spell shield, self explanatory, also goes with his secondary anti-magc(void) theme as his cloak absorb the energy of the spell to empower him E:Passive: Why wont you just die! The same feeling against Olaf and Poppy, as the human body is pushed to its peak to cling to survival. At max rank this heal 10% of his maximum health per second, but only usable in combat as to not make it overbearing in lane. Also Helmet Active: His main mobility and cc tool, functioning as a peel with its knockback. Also grants him power the more hit he takes. R: On his dying breath, he remember a fallen comrade in arm and rise once more, back to the line of duty, and enforcing an almost berserk style, fighting on despite mortal injury through sheer rage at the death of his brother. This makes him incredibly likely to be the last one standing in a teamfight, as each member of his team dying gives him another chance to exact vengane and keep on fighting, which coupled with his passive and massive regen boost on his E, ensure his survival even when the odds are stacked against him

How about a dive roll that only goes from side to side? (Maybe a bonus 1 unit distance when dodging a Vel'koz ult :3)

Or an ability that's called "Yell of The Scorned" that increases his movement speed for a period of time.. Stuff like that. Sort of dodge-based type stuff, movement speed, and some void abilities. That'd be coo.

Well. PBE is going to be chaos if this champion ends up existing.

Frog Headband7/6/2015, 4:43:12 AM1 votes

I agree with making his name in a different language such as Casque (french) and can be tied into Fiora's lore as maybe avenging his father who was killed by his sister? Can be a tankier top laner. I also think his ult should involve ripping up the ground to either knock enemies back and make a wall or barrier.

Mrs TrueLove7/6/2015, 6:20:18 AM1 votes

I like the idea of helmet brother in another language, (especially helmbraur :D) how about for a name Helmbraur, the legionare. this way it shows hes only one of many normal people that are merely human. As for lore how about this.

the legion have been the scouts of runeterra for centuries. none know when the legion was first formed but their warriors are the first to arrive whenever danger rears. ultimately just human but trained to be the peak of humanity. members of the legion have their names taken and are all refered to as "helmbraur". since the creation of the league of legends many helmbraur have expressed rage at the beings they gave their lives to stop have been spared and given a position in the league. the legion decided the time to remain silent was passed. as such they allowed a small group of helmbraur to join the league of legends. if they cant kill the enemies that they risked their lives to stop. they will at least defeat them on the fields of justice.

as for abilities and mechanics heres what I was thinking.

passive: drive of humanity helmbraur gets a reduced revive timer because of their countless near death experiences. it would scale up with level being lv1-3: 2 sec lv4-6: 4 sec lv7-9: 6 sec lv10-12: 7 sec lv13-15: 8 sec lv16-18:9 sec ultimately not a huge deal he will get to respawn faster but he will be a champion that is ultimately weak on his own though able to be of use with others.

for his Q: shield bash helmbraur will hit an enemy champion with their shield. this will deal (20+20%ad) as well as stun the enemy for 1.5 sec. it would have a decent cooldown of 15 sec and the stun duration would rise as it leveled but so would the mana cost.

for his w there would be a passive and an active: honor of the legion/ might of the legion its passive honor of the legion would grant bonus magic damage equal to 15+ 2% of helmbraurs Bonus armor. as an active might of the legion would turn into a buff that lasts 5 sec increasing by 1 second for each rank in the skill the buff would grant helmbraur bonus magic damage equal to 20 + 8% of his Bonus magic resist. when the skill is active helmbraur loses the passive from this skill. give it a cooldown of 10 sec that decreases down to 6 sec at level 18 this allows him to do a tiny bit extra damage while encouraging building him with defenses he would be a good fighter with some slight defenses thanks to the rest of his kit.

for an e: charge forth helmbraur will dash in target direction about the same distance as graves dash (slightly less maybe 3 or so units?) and when activated helmbraur gains an extra 5% bonus armor and magic resist for 4 sec if they dash towards an enemy. cooldown would be high 45 sec but would go down to 25 at level 18

as for the ult I had to put a lot of thought into this: frailty of mankind. this will have a passive and active with the active a skillshot with a channel to charge it and the range would increase with the charge time. as a passive helmbraur gets a stack of "legions fury" for each basic attack and single target ability that hits him. helmbraur will smack his shield with his sword (sound can be heard by all champions on the map) this will be a channel and will work like sions q charging up as you hold it with a max charge of 3 sec. for each second the range increases at max about the same as a darius pull at min only basic attack range which will be about 125. helmbraur will charge forward always taking 1 sec to travel the distance if he strikes an enemy champion this skill will deal 10 times the number of stacks of "legions fury" as true damage, and stun helmbraur for 2 sec. hitting an enemy consumes the stacks but if you miss they stay. a high cooldown of 100 sec only going down to 70 at rank 3 will help balance it.

He'll never be a real champion.

The most will see is Riot giving him some presence as a skin for certain champions.

Just came across this post and I won’t lie I’m a bit in love here XD. Thoughts I had so far were:

Name: Galeam, The Helmed Hero (I liked the name from the post)

Passive: (same as someone else’s) Gains armor the lower his health.

Ultimate: The Sacrifice: He sacrifices his bonus armor, spreading it to nearby allies and taunting all enemies nearby. I kinda thought a champ like him would tire of watching allies die so he’d give the ultimate sacrifice for his team. I dunno if this post is even active nowadays but do leave any thoughts about my ideas if people are still around here!

Helmut, Brother in Arms

Lore As a boy, Helmut was known for his lackadaisical manner. He was unmotivated and lazy, rarely taking much interest in anything. His family pushed him into becoming a member of his small village's militia, hoping that he might straighten up if given some responsibility. The village elders, however, thought otherwise and assigned Helmut to a largely ceremonial position. His post called for him to light a signal fire to warn of an impending invasion, for the legendary Shadow Isles were said to be nearby, somewhere out in the mist-covered seas.

Helmut often spent his days whittling or napping, anything to break the monotony of staring out at the sea. One day during harvest season, the fog over the ocean became especially thick and muffled the sound of the waves upon the rocks below. Helmut wrapped himself in his cloak and nodded off, bored of yet another dull day at his post.

He awoke to the scrape of steel, as some fell creature drew a rusted blade from a scabbard. The last sing he saw was thick tendrils of black mist closing around him. With no warning to alert them, the villagers were caught completely by surprise. As each fell to the undead horde, they cursed Helmut for his lack of vigilance. Something in the mists took note and Helmut's eyes opened once more.

Eternally tormented by the souls of those he has failed, Helmut seeks redemption through service. He has been sighted numerous ties over the years, always in times of desperation and great need. He volunteers for the most dangerous missions. He is never seen again, but a battered helmet can occasionally be found along the path he had taken.

Passive Suicide Mission Enemy champions receive no gold for killing Helmut. Cooldown: 300 seconds

Q Desperate Blow Active: Helmut's next basic attack deals bonus damage (20 / 45 / 70 / 95 / 120). This attack gains a chance to critically hit equal to Helmut's % missing health (this crit chance is not cumulative with any other source of crit). If he crits, the target is slowed (25% / 30% / 35% / 40% / 45%) for 1.5 seconds. Cooldown: 8 / 7 / 6 / 5 / 4 seconds

W Tormented Vigor Passive: Helmut takes 1% reduced damage. This can increase to a maximum of 25%, scaling off of Helmut's % missing health. Additionally, enemy champions that damage Helmut are revealed for 2 / 2.5 / 3 / 3.5 / 4 seconds.

E Shield Charge Active: Helmut dashes forward a short distance, dealing magic damage (50 / 80 / 110 / 140 / 170 + 0.2 AP) to enemies along his path. Enemies are knocked to the side (0.5s duration) if struck in the path of the dash and stunned (1.5s) if caught at the end. Cooldown: 22 / 19 / 16 / 13 / 10 seconds

R Endless Vigilance Active: Helmet marks an ally at extreme range, gaining 150% movement speed as long as he moves towards the targeted champion (the buff ends if he does not move towards the marked ally for 3 seconds). If the target is below 50%, this buff increases to 250%. Passive: When Helmut dies, he leaves behind a helmet. This permanently provides vision in a small radius around it and cannot be targeted. Helmut can have 1 / 2 / 3 helmets on the map at one time.

Didn't someone already create a very decent and thematically fitting kit for him along with a story that was even narrated? let me search... ok found it!

Champion: Helmet Bro, the Void Knight.

Overview:

Helmet Bro is a melee AP bruiser who uses the Void's own dark powers against them, relying on crippling silences and slowly >wearing down his opponents, while shrugging off their own retaliation. Helmet Bro is a dogged warrior, unflinching in his >resolve and implacable in his advance. The creatures of the Void will come to fear the name of Helmet Bro.

Lore:

“February Nineteenth, Institute of War, Eastern Outskirts;

My brother Valan and I, were contracted to guard the Institute's Eastern front. There were rumors of something approaching >from there.

Void.

It was something from the void, according to the Summoners. Something that while dangerous, should pose little threat to >two talented knights like Valan and I. We had our gear ready in an hour, and were hidden in the forest's edge before nightfall.”

“February Twenty-First, Institute of War, Eastern Outskirts;

Whatever it was, it came up on Valan in the night. We're trained warriors, dammit, how did he miss it?

That doesn't matter now. He's dead. Ashes. The only thing left of him was his sword and helmet, both crackling with a >strange, violet energy.

Void magic.

Before I could even finish grieving the damned thing fired upon me with a beam of light; same thing that killed Valan, most >likely. I managed to dodge it, barely. My cloak and sword were destroyed up to the hilt. I managed to run for a few meters >before it caught up with me.

Gods, it was massive. Taller than the trees. Tentacles writhing, three smaller eyes crowned over one colossal retina, a dark >slit that flattened as it was charging the blast to end my life.

Only, the blast never came. Summoners from the Institute had arrived, and barely managed to subdue the creature before it >had killed me. They took it away with them, and brought me to the infirmary.

I never even got to bury Valan.”

“February Twenty-Second, Institute of War, Infirmary;

I'm fine, dammit, but they won't let me go back to the forest to bury Valan. They won't even let me leave this room – they >want me to stay for 'observation'.

They want me to stay so I won't kill them all.

I heard their plans, their whispers. They're letting that monster – that THING – live. The alien beast that killed my brother, >took the only thing I cared about in this world from me, and they're letting it go. They're arranging a deal with it! It's going to >stay at the Institute and compete in their accursed League, in exchange for knowledge! I'd heard that they dealt with >monsters before, but this... This is sickening.

In a flash of dark light, something entered the infirmary, stunning the nurse sent to attend me. On instinct I rose to defend >myself, but it was no threat.

It was salvation.

Kassadin, the League Champion, the Voidwalker, had come to me. He presented three things to me; Valan's sword and >helmet, along with my own sword hilt, still crackling with that evil energy.

He spoke to me then. “If you want revenge, take it”. With that, he was gone.

I can never thank him enough.

Donning my equipment, I left the infirmary.

If they won't battle the darkness of the Void, then I will.

I'm not alone; Kassadin stands by my side, and Valan watches me from the afterlife.

Vel'Koz will pay. The Void will pay.

Valan Helmen is dead.

Marrak Helmen is dead.

The Helmet of my brother is all that remains.”

Abilities:

Passive – Void Blade: Helmet Bro's basic attacks deal 5(xLevel)+(0.25AP) bonus magic damage.

Q – Dodge Roll/Ashen Strike: Helmet Bro nimbly rolls a short distance away. For three seconds afterword, Helmet Bro's next >attack becomes Ashen Strike, allowing Helmet Bro to leap to an enemy's location, dealing additional magic damage and >silencing them.

Bonus Magic Damage: 30 / 55 / 80 / 105 / 130 (+0.40 AP) Cooldown: 8 seconds

Silence duration: 2 seconds.

For an accurate leap range, think Rengar's passive (600 units).

W – Cloak of Shadows: Helmet Bro raises his cloak, gaining a temporary spell shield that lasts two seconds. If Cloak of >Shadows absorbs a spell, Helmet Bro releases the spell's energy, dealing the spell's damage type in an area around him. >The spell does not copy the enemy spell's damage, only the damage type.

Damage: 75/95/115/135/155

Cooldown: 14 seconds.

Area of effect: About 425 units. (For comparison, Darius' Decimate has a 425 unit range)

E – Void Blast: Passive: Helmet Bro stores charges for each spell used by a nearby enemy champion in his helmet. His >helmet can hold six charges, and charges deteriorate one at a time every three seconds.

Active: Helmet Bro releases a blast of Void energy in a thin line from his helmet, dealing magic damage and slowing the first >enemy champion in the line. The spell does 10% bonus damage for each charge stored in the helmet before using Void Blast.

Magic Damage - zero charges: 70/115/160/205/250 (+0.50 AP)

Magic Damage - six charges: 112/184/256/328/400 (+.50 AP)

Cooldown: 16/14/12/10/8 seconds.

Spell range: About 600 units.

R (Ultimate) – The Purge: Helmet Bro draws his brother's sword, and stabs it into the ground. The blade releases its stored >Void energy for six seconds, dealing magic damage and perpetuating a Silencing field around a small area. Enemies cannot >cast spells while in the area, and Helmet Bro gains bonus magic resistance while standing in the Silencing field.

After the six seconds the Silencing field collapses in on itself, dealing magic damage to them.

Magic Damage - Explosion: 200/325/450 (+.45 AP)

Magic Damage - Implosion: 225/375/500 (+.45 AP)

Bonus Magic Resist: 45/60/75

Area of effect: About 500 units.

Quotes:

In champion select:

"They made a mistake letting me live."

Movement:

"They think they can reign free in our land. They're wrong."

"I've got promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep."

"They're more corrupt than you realize."

"They've made a deal with the devil. I'll show them why that was a mistake."

"Valan, I will make sure you haven't died in vain."

"I've seen true terror. Nothing else will ever come close."

"For a better world."

"Bring evil unto evil."

Attacking:

"For Valan!"

"Retribution!"

"Death to the Void!"

"Your magic is useless here!"

"Death to the mage!"

"Suffer not the Void-born to live!"

Joke:

Helmet Bro takes off his helmet, balancing it on the tip of his sword.

"One part head gear, two parts stylish."

"I guess you could call using the Void to kill the Void hypocritical, but... Shut up."

Taunt:

Helmet Bro points his sword forward as it glows and crackles with purple energy.

"You. Will. Die."

"FOR VALAN. FOR RUNETERRA. YOU. SHALL. NOT. PASS."

In Closing:

I got bored, decided Helmet Bro is the best champion ever, and needed a kit.

Edit:

I almost forgot to add this goddamned AMAZING voiceover of HB's lore by StephanosRex. Mad props to this guy:

here is my version of what i feel should be helmet bro. a few things first though

  • some form of health regen
  • his theme should be survivalist (tank) with a secondary tactical (support)
  • abilities scale with armor/health/mr all giving different effects no ad/ap scaling.

so without further ado my version of his kit

Passive: Courageous action.

  • whenever Helmet bro's uses a spell he removes all slows and fear effects and receives a 10/15/20% movement speed bonus for 2 seconds
  • his tenacity reduces the effects of knock back and knock up abilities during his movement speed bonus.

Q: Tactical formation. Passive: helmet bro shares 3/4/7/12/21 % of his bonus armor and magic resist to the closest ally champion

active: he shares Courageous action to all allies for 2 seconds. and he receives his own passive from tactical formation for 2 seconds as well.

W: Resiliency Passive: whenever helmet bro receives any damage from an enemy champion he receives a health regen bonus 0.4/0.7/1.2/2.1/3% per second for 2 seconds.

active: double's the duration (the passive has to be active for it to activate) and will grant the same amount to an ally champion who receives his tactical formation passive as well. auto attack's from either helmet bro or the ally will add 1 second duration to the health regen up to a total of 3 seconds .

E: Helmet Shield passive: helmet bro ally receives a shield based upon helmet bro's max health whenever his passive proc's 3/4/7/12/21% of helmet bro's max health

active: he receives the shield himself as well.

R: Desperate Roar Helmet bro's Roars in desperation disrupting spells and silencing all enemies for 0.7/1.2/2.1 seconds removing all CC from allies helmet bro receives 3/4/7% health for each enemies hit over 4 seconds proccing his passive. for 4 seconds all allies benefit from Helmet's bro passive

Here's the whole crew: summoner 7 summoner 3 summoner 21 summoner 6 + RIP Jesus

The implication is that all of these champs could eventually be developed. Each champ is themed based on what their icon represents. For Helmet Bro, his character would be focused around healing. How about one of his powers gives Garen-like health regen to all teammates?

I always figure they'd make a Pantheon Skin in his honour.

Wait, maybe helmet bro is whatever species doctor who is. and you could give him a different model each time he died (3-5 models)
