I miss this old GP so much. He made me think of that one Uncle. (Appearance wise)
Not to be a complete jerk to the team that re-did his visuals, but I strongly prefer this to his new look. That's also super menacing, and has the aura of insanity that I think GP portrayed in the burning tides event.

Traditional GP exists?
Well the guy that drew this has done stuff for League before. The image's link has his name in it (victor-maury-gangplank-saltwater-scourge-forweb.jpg), and on his 'about' page (at http://www.victormaury.com/about/ ) the first client mentioned is Rito. So I guess technically it's Riot's work?

What you call Traditional/Pre-VU Gangplank is what I call young Gangplank. The appearance he probably had when he killed MFs parents.
Really nice.
I actually liked the old GP's personality better, with all his silly lines he was a good comic relief character. Now he's just some wannabe badass pirate. I kinda feel like they ruined his character with his rework.
I miss the old style skin but his new rework.
"Wanna know why me Roger is so Jolly? Heheheh..." As much as I love the new him I think a good deal of us will miss this majestic joke.
