[Champion Fan Rework Concept] Wukong, the Monkey King
Passive: The Long Journey
Wukong's path to strength, reflects on what sort of battle style he wishes to take. Depending on the items he buys first along with the stats that come with it, Wukong's abilities will change into two styles:
The Short End: A more physical damage-based assassin, focusing on Attack Damage, speed and lethality (if Wukong achieves 150 AD first), and will have Five-Fingered Palms of Death as his new passive. Five-Fingered Palms of Death: Wukong's basic attacks, his Q and his E will do more damage the lower % of HP his targets have.
The Long End: A more resilient control-based juggernaut, focusing on health, defenses, CC and range. (if Wukong achieves 120 Armor or Magic Resist first), and will have Summit Enlightenment as his new passive. Summit Enlightenment: Wukong's melee range will increase, and his basic attacks to champions give him a percentage of health back, along with a burst of decaying movement speed. This passive has an 8 second cooldown, but only per champion.
Q: Crushing Blow:
35/40/45/50/55 mana 8/7.5/7/6.5/6 second cooldown
Wukong extends and slams his staff in a quick target line in front of him, damaging all foes in front, applies on-hit effects and briefly slowing them.
The Short End; Crushing Mountain: This ability will reduces armor from champions hit by a percentage. The Long End; Sideline Strike: The slow will change to a brief knockback, and the range gets longer. However, the speed of the attack is a little slower.
W: Split Hairs:
60 mana 18/17/16/15/14 second cooldown
Wukong disappears and leaves behind a flimsy, targetable, yet identical clone to walk in a specific target direction. While the clone is active, Wukong remains in stealth and gets 10/15/20/25/30% decaying movement speed boost until he attacks, after 1.5 seconds, walks into a wall or the clone suffers any sort of damage from a champion once.
The Short End: Ambush: While in stealth, Wukong's next basic attack doubles his passive's bonus damage. The Long End: Decoy: The clone stays active for 2.5 seconds instead, the movement speed does not decay, and is much more durable.
E: Mountain's Peak:
55/60/65/70/75 mana 15/14/13/12/11 second cooldown
Wukong dashes in a line, with the help of his trusty nimbus cloud, and strikes in an area with physical damage, or at the first champion hit. It cannot go through walls.
The Short End: Nimbus Strike: Wukong is granted attack speed for 3.5 seconds, and basic attacks reduce the cooldown by 1 second. It still cannot go through walls. The Long End: Falling Sky: Wukong's staff elongates into a pole-vaulting strike, allowing his dash to change into an Area of Effect charge. It can also leap over walls. It also grants bonus range and applies on-hit effects (including Summit Enlightenment). The skill can stun the targets hit by 1.5 seconds, but only if Wukong's Falling Sky goes over a wall.
R: Cyclone
100 mana 120/100/80 second cooldown
Wukong spins his staff in a cyclone, dealing constant damage to enemies around him, and knocking them up VERY briefly before slowing them down with each strike. Wukong is able to move around with the cyclone, as it only lasts 4 seconds. The effect cannot be stopped manually until the 4 seconds ends, and no other skill can be used while Cyclone is in effect.
The Short End: Storming Tornado Strike: This skill only lasts 2.5 seconds, but the damage instead is applied instantly alongside the constant damage, the knock-up transforms into a knock-aside, and damage is also significantly increased. Wukong's movement speed increases while the ultimate is in effect. The Long End: Hurricane of Stone: Wukong's staff extended longer, and knock-up time, and slow power is increased. While spinning, Wukong gains % damage reduction. Damage is also changed to increase based off of armor and magic resist.
Whew, and that's it! Tell me what you think!
thus far. I like how it plays to both his styles as a burst assassin and durable fighter without having them overlap. The passive sounds especially neat, being based off of items and (I assume) a permanent transformation, like a combination of
and
