Is this a Morde VGU? If not what is it?

Hi. I play Morde left and right, and I have some ideas on how to up his gameplay, move around power in his kit, and give him a chance in the League of Mobility and Crowd Control without giving him any, and while still maintaining the overall design of his current kit.

-Q now grants +5% Movement Speed for 3 seconds for each Q lane on enemy champions. -W's exp passive and movement speed passive when moving towards allied champions REMOVED. -W now deals double damage where the circles overlap when cast on allied champions -W deactivate damage now steals 20% movespeed that decays over 2.5 seconds from the closest champion within the circle.

Boom, Morde fixed. No cc added, now has windows of power to stick, doesn't have an unfair exp passive, still has bad base stats for counterplay, still has dragon so you can secure a ghost even when you lose lane.

You will need to be a better Morde to Morde adc, as there is no exp passive and must rely on mechanics. There is still room for counterplay, but Morde can acually stick now and can have more control of his MS steriods.

That would be great for a temporary fix, but in the long run it would not solve the problem.

And what's the problem?

Playing Morde, the idea is to sacrifice cc and base mobility for great power.

Sure, it's not easy to stick to targets with 325 Movespeed, but again, you sacrifice cc and speed for great power.

Sure he has terrible hp, hp regen, movespeed, and attack speed, but it gives counterplay to his high damage, his amazing passive, and his kick ass sustain.

I'd say Morde is feast or famine which is kind of true, but.. even if you are behind, once you get a fed ghost you can catch up again, as well as make a HUGE snowball.

Ghost than tower, than dragon ghost and another tower

God I love melee carry Mordekiaser, I'd hate for him to be a tank.

I feel instead of adding movespeed with abilities, it would be better for morde to slow people down to his level, reinforcing him as an unkillable death knight. Adding a slow on his Q but slightly reducing the base damage would be highly beneficial to him and make him much more viable in the current meta.

It would be cool.

But the moment he gains innate cc he his high damage will be nerfed, as will his passive. That passive shouldn't be changed, because it makes him unique and awsome to play.

Think about it:

Rely on getting into range with Q to slow, or rather use a Movespeed buff to escape?

A Movement passive on Q and removing decaying movespeed on w gives you more control over when you get increased movement or not. Therefore, it is situationaly better for the Morde player, as well as allowing him to keep his damage on Q.

I didn't realize that you meant that his Q would stack the MS, which would make him super fast... but I don't like the idea of a fast, mobile Mordekaiser. That and the bonus on his W... it just doesn't fit his theme.

Let the concept sink in. Remember than the movespeed is taken away from w as it is on live, and only a tiny burst on w DEACTIVATE.

Morde was reworked to be a JUGGERNAUT and is currently a melee CARRY, hence being intended for bot lane.

A juggernaut starts slow (325 base MS) and gains momentum and speed as it destroys things in it's path. The MS passive on Q allows you to gain this momentum and reliably use Q.

Acually, now that I think about it, given how powerful Morde's current kit is, the movespeed passive should only be on Q, and have no deactivate on w. You're right, he'd be way too fast and get nerfed hard.

SO RECAP, REEDITING IDEA!!

-5% MS Boost for 2 seconds for each Q landed. Not granted when used minions or monsters. -W exp passive and movement speed passive removed. -W now deals double damage where circles overlap when cast on allied champions.

Boom
