I have a champion that I don't want and my friend does however I cant give it to him. This should be changed. I know league would be better if you could give friends your champions. This would help lots of people such as smurfs and low lvl players. This would allow unneeded champions to go to someone who can put them to good use. This would keep off meta champions played, thus creating more new meta's, and making league more diverse
The thing is peopl would abuse this so they could play any champions they wanted as long as their friends had them. You'd have to make it so you can only give a champion once ever. And maybe you have to trade a champion of equal value.

I think the ability to PURCHASE champions for friends with IP would be a good feature, actually. The only caveat is that I'd give players a hard limit on champions they can gift, which can't be broken (so after that you can only gift in RP).
1-2 gifts per player per season seems appropriate.
Giving champions from your own pool I'm less keen on.
