A story for those who complain about Pyke

Pyke is quite a balanced champion. Yea that's something I never hear despite the fact he is. Most of the complaining about him is due to him being far to safe for a "High risk assassin". This is honestly just a misconception because the risk isn't seen here. Pyke risks are found in his play style. For example Pyke has to itemize with expensive assassin items and gets little to no benefit from the low cost support items. This means Pyke requires much more gold than other supports. This creates a dilemma for the Pyke player as they also need kills to be powerful. Since his ult isn't always up it means having to juggle feeding your ADC and feeding yourself. Failing to do this creates a fed Pyke who falls off and a weak ADC late. This together makes managing and sharing gold paramount in success with Pyke. This scenario assumes that Pyke won lane because if he doesn't he will not have the gold to be useful and when he does he will have fallen off.

I'm going to let you know i'm a Pyke main and will always advocate for him

People also don't seem to get that you aren't supposed to attack Pyke in the laning phase. They complain that he just heals up all their poke, but they keep poking him anyway.

Poke his ADC, not Pyke. His cooldowns are hella long in the early game and his damage isn't high enough to get kills himself yet. He depends on his ADC to finish what he starts, but if his ADC doesn't have enough health to trade favorably, Pyke can do literally nothing for them.

a high risk assassin shouldnt be "high risk" off of anything other than actual in fight risk, people dont like an assassin that can miss they're main spell (q) then just go in on them with e anyway, then if that goes wrong you press w and just leave and try again after healing pretty much all the dmg you took, thats why people dont like pyke on top of his ult being grossly overtuned rn while ignoring shields AND doing true dmg, you cant to put an assassin in the support role and expect them not to be hated and riddled with balance issues

My problem with him is the strong escape he has with his W and E. He's not squishy enough to die with only 1 CC like other assassins like Katarina.

Pyke is balanced relative to other new-age modernized overloaded champions. Champions like Pyke are the standard of balance. Along with... Yasuo Zed LB Camille Kaisa Akali Aatrox Irelia etc etc etc.

Yes they are overloaded and OP when compared to old champions, but the game is phasing out old/non-overloaded champions. Slowly, but surely. Eventually every champion is going to be overloaded and Pyke will just blend in.
