Why can't you dodge in Promos

Ok so I love ranked and really believe its the best way to play league but its got some issues when it comes to Promos. To start frankly I don't like them as my MMR is at a point were I don't get loss protection for subdivisions (S1 S2 S3). Yet I still play the two to three games to go up divisions. Now I do understand why this has to be here and I accept that but why dodging is not allowed is beyond me. There are many games where it looks rough in champ select and it's just safer to dodge but in promos the most important game you need to win you just can't. I would propose either allowing one free dodge for 3 game promos and 2 free dodges for 5 game ones or unlimited dodges with the caveat that you will take the LP penalty even if you go up and start at negative LP. This is just my two cents and I may be biased due to me just losing a promo game due to the inability to dodge.
