We need a Void leader, like, who does Malzahar serve? He serves the Void in general and wants them to inhabit the world, but who would Malzahar specifically worship?
That's the champion we need.

But not the champion we deserve.
Perhaps the Void itself is sentient. It could be speaking to Malzahar through his corrupted visions and causing the Voidborn champions to instinctively want to "consume" Runeterra.
I feel like it shouldn't be a champion per say. If it were it wouldn't seem as powerful as "the leader of the void" lets on. If it were some sort of event monster for a new map, that would be pretty chill
