Yu'Nick, Peerless Warcaster

Concept Just something for fun; you'll notice this guy intrudes entirely on Veigar's niche, so it's not something that is to be taken as "Riot pls put in game". A take on an endlessly growing champion who, ideally, has a somewhat weak early game, but trades that off for a powerful lategame if left unchecked. Kind of like Veigar and Nasus, but unlike either of them, Yu'Nick can grow off of his passive rather than farming and just going QQ in lane.

Core identity should be a mage specialised in bursting down a prime target. Mechanically simple, but brutally efficient. Added a flash/dash because all the cool kids have it.

Passive provides Yu'Nick his exemplar status where his ability power will rise through the roof if left unchecked. Since he isn't gated by needing to use Q, his ability power doesn't rise as quickly as Veigar's, but it rises nonetheless. Any good mage lately has some mechanic that refunds mana, so As Dust will allow Yu'Nick to generate mana until he's ready to commit to the fight, in which case he will use As Dust to initiate, then hit hard with Earthshatter and Sword of the Land to eliminate his mark. Ideally, he'll find some way to escape.

Like Veigar, his ultimate is very strong. Unlike Veigar, he's not increasing his damage by a % of the target's ability power. Instead, he has better AP scaling on it, and pierces enemy magic resist. There's a slight moment of fear after he activates his ultimate, giving Yu'Nick some breathing space before the enemy team collapses on him and avenges their (hopefully) fallen comrade.

Abilities almost mimick Veigar's, but replaces his (un)trusty forcecage with a dash, because as I said, all the cool kids have it.

Passive Rising Brilliance Every time Yu'Nick kills an enemy or neutral unit, he increases his Ability Power by 0.75. This bonus is doubled for large monsters and large minions. The bonus is increased by 1/2.5/4/5.5/7 if Yu'Nick killed an enemy champion. (Levels 1, 5, 9, 13, 17)

Q Earthshatter Range: 950 / Mana cost: 60 / 65 / 70 / 75 / 80 / Cooldown: 7 / 6.5 / 6 / 5.5 / 5s Unleashes a rippling shockwave in the target direction. Enemy units are struck for 75 / 120 / 165 / 210 / 255 (+100% AP) magic damage. This damage is reduced by 10% for each additional unit hit, to a minimum of 30%.

W Quake Range: 900 / Mana cost: 90 / Cooldown: 9s Generates violent tremors in a 150-radius area after a 1s delay. Enemy units are dealt 90 / 145 / 200 / 255 / 315 (+100% AP) magic damage, and are slowed by 40% for 2 seconds.

E As Dust Range: 900 / Mana cost: 80 / 85 / 90 / 95 / 100 / Cooldown: 20 / 18 / 16 / 14 / 12s Passive: Yu'Nick draws strength from the earth, passively increasing his mana regen by 1% of his missing mana.

Active: Sends a trail of dust forward at a speed of 850 units. Reactivating this ability causes Yu'Nick to instantly travel to the location of the trail of dust, stunning all enemies in a 150-radius area around him for 1s. If Yu'Nick doesn't reactivate this ability, it expires when it reaches its maximum range, refunding 75% of the mana cost and half the cooldown. The passive is disabled while the active is on cooldown.

R Sword of the Land Range: 650 / Mana cost: 150 / Cooldown: 120 / 100 / 80s Causes a stone sword to rise from the land and pierce an enemy champion for 250 / 350 / 450 (+110% AP) magic damage. Sword of the Land ignores 10/20/30% of the target's magic resistance. Enemy units within a 200-radius of the target are struck with fear for 0.5s.
