Dremoth, the Twin Axes

Dremoth is a top lane champion, like darius, but he has the option of fighting with either a small axe or a big axe. The small axe is better for mobility and short trades in lane. His big axe is better for providing large amounts of CC and damage for team fights.

(Passive) Blood Thirst: Dealing physical damage to a unit puts a mark of blood thirst on them. Each mark that is near to Dremoth grants him 5% attack speed (doubled if using the small axe). The mark goes away after 4 seconds if the unit has not taken damage. Only one stack can be given to minons, but multiple stacks can be given to champions. Maximum 50% attack speed boost.

(Q) Dispose: (10/9/8/7/6 CD)

  • ** (Small Axe): **Dremoth tosses the Axe (think olaf). If it collides with a unit it deals damage but gets stuck. Clicking on the unit causes Dremoth to dash slightly towards it, and if he is close enough he grabs the axe dealing damage again. Casting this abillity again will cause Dremoth to switch out for the big axe.

  • **(Big Axe): **Dremoth smashes the ground, rooting any targets caught for 2 seconds. The axe gets stuck in the ground, though. If he clicks the axe (think thresh lantern) he picks it up over the course of 1 second. Casting this ability again causes Dremoth to switch for the small axe.

(W) Swing (13/11/9/7/5 CD)

  • **(Small Axe): ** Spins in a forward direction dealing damage to passing units. (think Tryndamere)

  • (Big Axe): Lunges forward, hitting enemies in front of him very hard. This reduces their armor, slows them, and applies two stacks of blood thirst instead of one.

(E) Quench (16 CD)

  • (Small Axe) Removes all nearby marks of Blood Thirst, and heals him for each stack as well as resetting non-ult cooldowns based on nearby stacks

  • (Big Axe) All nearby enemies who have a mark now have a bleed effect for the next 4 seconds. Additionally, Dremoth gains movement speed and health regeneration while nearby marks are present.

(R) Slam (120 CD)

  • (Either) Dremoth takes out his big axe and hits his target for a large amount of damage (like darius dunk)

---------------------------------------- Strategy ----------------------------------

Small axe is made for short trades (so typically in lane). Using swing into a wave of minions grants him attack speed from his passive for 4 seconds. This allows him to attack for a bit before he uses quench to gain some health back.

Big axe is made for either short burst damage or team fighst (so typically late game). Using quench extends the length of his passive by 4 additional seconds and grants him movement speed needed for sticking to enemies. Using lunge > dispose grants him a lot of cc in a short burst as well as using lunge > dispose > slam.

Some problems I have with the abilities, how do they scale AD/AP a mix, are any of them basic attack replacements? Also this is more of a pet peeve then anything important but I would like to see the axe stances be named after either real axes or they are the names that your guy gave his axes. Also please tell me he is a Yordle or at least a Dwarf because that would just SELL this idea, tanky top lane bruiser that just happens to be 4 feet tall and fluffy with the best part being that he doesn't transform into some monstrosity or pilots a mecha. I have a few other minor details that I have issues with but I am going to mull them over before deciding if they are actual problems.

Ok this is still bugging me, it just might be me, but I feel you should tweak the abilities just a bit so they don't feel copy and pasted from other champions.

Like the W for the small axes feel like it is just tryda spin, maybe add something like he deals bonus damage to enemies hit in the outer half of his spin, while stunning marked enemies he passes completely through, this ability of course doesn't add stacks. Make a some tweaks to the abilities so that while they are like other champion's abilities they still feel unique.
