Proposed Sivir Gameplay Update
Functionality changes are italicized. New abilities are bolded. Scaling changes (damage, cooldown, duration, range, etc.) are not notated, mostly because if they are present they are minor. Please take the numbers in this post with a grain of salt, I am not Riot.
P- Fleet of Foot, Swift of Hand-
Sivir gains 30-50 bonus movement speed for 2 seconds when she damages an enemy champion with an ability or basic attack.
Sivir gains 5-15% (from levels 1-18) attack speed when basic attacking enemy champions, stacking up to three times. Stacks last 2 seconds, basic attacking champions refreshes the duration. Stacks decay at a rate of 1/s.
Q- Boomerang Blade- Scaling: (+70 – 110% AD) (+50% AP) Range: 1250 Cooldown: 9 Active- Sivir hurls her crossblade in the target direction. Enemies in its path take physical damage, reduced based on the number of targets hit. Upon reaching max range the crossblade returns, dealing the same damage. Sivir can re-activate Q to bring back her crossblade early once it passes her maximum basic attack range (500).
W- Ricochet- Scaling: 50-70% AD Cooldown: 12-6 Active- Sivir’s next 3 basic attacks within 4 seconds bounce to nearby unaffected units, dealing physical damage.
E- Oasis’ Blessing / Bladed Vengeance
Oasis' Blessing Scaling: Mana restored: 80-140 Cost: 0 Cooldown: 20-12
Bladed Vengeance Scaling: 80-105 (+40% AD) (+20% AP) Range: (600/650/700/725/750) Cost: 80
First Cast: Sivir gains a spell shield for 1.5 seconds. If Sivir blocks an ability she restores mana.
**Second Cast: Sivir gains the ability to cast a new ability for 3 seconds after Oasis’ Blessing ends, called Bladed Vengeance. Bladed Vengeance is a conic AoE ability that damages up to 3 enemies caught inside it. Highest priority is the champion that broke the spell shield, followed by the two champions with the lowest % of max health, and finally, minions with the lowest % of max health. The ability costs mana, but if Oasis’ Blessing blocked an ability, the cost is refunded in addition to the mana granted from the spell shield, and Bladed Vengeance deals an additional 50% damage. **
R- On the Hunt Scaling: Initial movement speed: 40/50/60% Initial speed duration: 2/3/4 Movement Speed Drop-off: 15/20/25% Active- Sivir rallies all nearby allies for 6 seconds, granting them and herself bonus movement that decays after a few seconds. While On the Hunt is active, W- Richochet’s cooldown is reduced by 50%.
The goal of this rework is to raise the interactivity and skill ceiling of Sivir without changing her core kit.
The new component to her passive, Swift of Hand, grants attack speed on hitting champions. This is to boost her dueling potential in all phases of the game without impacting farming potential. In response, the W passive for On the Hunt is removed.
The small change to her Q, the ability to bring the blade back early, is another way to increase duel potential while adding interactivity to her kit. Good timing would maximize the single target damage you would get out of it when poking enemy champions.
Her W is the only ability I don’t think needs functionality changes. It works well, feels good, and is unique.
The most important part of this updated kit is her new E. The first cast is the exact same functionally as her current E, Spell Shield. By making it a 2-in-1, Sivir has a higher risk/reward ability. Do you save it for the spell shield to block damage, and deal more damage in your counter attack? Or do you use it for the damage, taking a significant hit to your mana pool (until you get
anyway) and losing out on overall damage?
Her R is a good ability, but by removing the W boosting passive from it I felt like a more direct interaction would be better suited to her kit. In response, the overall duration of On the Hunt is lowered.
