Idea for a pre-punishment system to help cool players off and stop them from being toxic [TL;DR incl

I was thinking a lot about the current system and I honestly don't find it too effective. The warning and your first offence is too harsh, expecially when it can be gotten from only being passive agressive.

Here is my idea. From what I've seen it takes 2-3 games of toxicity to get a ban. If you have one game and something happens and you get in a flaming match or fight with someone the odds are you will stay tilted and stay toxic going into the next game. If you are toxic again that game (and get a few reports each game) the odds are you will get banned.

Heres the idea.
After that first game happens and the game sees that you typed in chat a ton of times and recieved multiple reports it should automatically chat restrict you for the rest of the day. No Hextech Crafting ban, no loot restrictions, no ban. This would essentially stop a pissed off tilted player from going into another game and flaming again. They would log in the next day with the chat restriction gone and have a fresh pallet.

This does NOT change the current punishments/thresh hold to get punished. It just adds a few hour chat restriction to stop the tilted user from flaming more and more.

How it would play into the current system & how often you can get this Forgot to include how it goes into the current system. Everyone starts off being allowed one of these. If after it is over they keep being toxic and getting reported it would jump into the current 10 game system. If they aren't reported too much and 3? ish weeks pass maybe they get another of these warning cooldowns. Kind of like an ELO system for toxicity. More reports = higher elo. Elo decays over time and you need a lower elo to get this form of restriction.

Why do I think this is effective? People get tilted. Personally, I try to be nice in games but sometimes shit will happen and I will get tilted. It doesn't really happen often but when it happens I get a bit toxic and won't go back to being a normal, nice person until I take a few hour break off my computer or even until the next day.

TL;DR - Give players a ~12 ish hour chat restriction (that does not give loot restrictions) if they are getting reported and being toxic so they can cool off before they get enough reports to get a 10 game one or worse.
