What if you had to have mastery 3/4 before you could play a champion in ranked?

You know that "oh no please don't" feeling when you get into a lobby right after a release/rework (lookin' at you Galio) Galio and see someone with no previous experience instantly hover that champion? For the most part, those players who decide to screw over their team by first timing a champion in ranked can be stopped & the game will be a bit more competitive and fun those poor teammates.

Benefits

  • People won't be able to hinder their chance of winning a ranked game because they want to first time new release champions, reworked champions (unless they have mastery points on the previous one), and other champions they want to first time in ranked.
  • 4 people won't have to experience someone troll picking & first timing a champion in ranked
  • Smurfs would have to play a few games on whatever champion they want to play in ranked which would be an annoyance and possibly a** discouragement from smurfing.**
  • It would help discourage account boosting would have a harder time if they want to play a champion that the account they are boosting does not have level 3/4 on

I don't see any downsides to this besides streamers and players with multiple high ranked accounts (not smurfing in a level where they will destroy) not being able to play what they haven't played yet on that account. E- Another downside thanks to /u/SNSDave - You won't be able to pick a champion for trade unless you have level 3/4 on them

TL;DR - Make a mastery 3/4 requirement to stop people from first timing new champions in ranked

a more reasonable solution would be to disable new/reworked champs from** ranked** for 1 week

when you say 3/4 do you mean three Quarters? (of coarse not, you get level one on your first play.)

"Attention team, this is your auto filled support speaking. I don't actually have any supports at level 3 or 4"

Probably not a good idea. For example: I'd be limited to a lot of champs who are out of meta and harm my team more than I could be doing with more solid picks right now. Like I just got Trundle to level 3 and 4 this season from playing him a lot in ranked and have like a 70% win rate with him, which is WAAAAAAY better than my level 6 gangplank who Im like 35% win rate with this season.

edit: I could see a FIRST EVER pick being blocked in ranked, the system can probably easily detect if its your very first time playing a character even and it could prevent that pick.
