Mangle Wire - The Rusted Horror

My ideas for a champ with the name Mangle Wire, is an old rusted robot, haunting the lands of zaun murdering people without any mercy, i was thinking more of a rusted robot, with a mangled frame and wires and broken parts sticking out. Using the lack of a sealed frame and restricted parts to further his mobility. Ive always loved horror themed characters and a rusted robot purely designed for leaping from the strangest of angles to grab their opponent seems pretty bad ass, so here are my ideas.

Passive - Rusted Gears. While moving Mangle Wire has reduced movement speed, but as he is walking his gears break loose and start turning faster resulting in a massive increase in movement speed, being immobilized resets this cause him to be slowed. (my idea for this is simply for the scary thought of a mangled rusted machine slowly walking at you and getting faster and faster, as you run in horror trying ot escape him til he catches up to you.)

Q - Shred the weak. Mangle Wire uses the rusted metal and saw blades on his opened chest to slash all targets in front of him, causing any targets struck to bleed, be slowed and be marked. (i picked this because i can imagine a mangle corpse robot launching its rusted body at the enemy and slashing the victim and immobilizing him influences to catch people out, or people left behind, kinda like in a horror movie when someone typically falls behind and gets immobilized and killed?)

W - Horrifying glare. Mangle Wire glares at all enemies ahead causing the target to be feared, this ability has a fixed distance and when the targets back is turned Mangle Wire instead gains movement speed. (

E - Kill the Stragglers. Mangle Wire leaps to a wall causing him to blend into the terrain with his rusted metal body after 1.5s, if there is no vision spotting Mangle Wire he can walk around the wall without being unstealthed. When clicking on an enemy within range Mangle Wire leaps to the victim and roots them to the ground. If the victim has their back facing him he clings to their back not only rooting them but slowing them afterwards if he chooses not to detach himself. Q - Shred the weak can be used while attacked to the enemy (this has some great synergy with his ult and q, ive always enjoyed the cheese strat of a team sneaking around together hunting anyone to be caught out. This allows some more chances and is a new mechanic to league, if you ever thought of sticking to someone this is it.)

E (2) Dance around the prey. If Mangle Wire chooses not to stay still and camoflage, he can instead climb and mount the terrain becoming untargetable and descending on any nearby champions

R - Mangled corpse. An enemy rooted and slowed by E - Kill the stragglers or is leaped on by E (2) Dance around the prey, is then pulled into Mangle Wires chest taking massive % hp true damage and being trapped inside of his chest. While the enemy is trapped Mangle Wire can move as he pleases. If E (2) Dance around the prey is activated again within 3s Mangle Wire will leap back to his original location on the terrain.

My ideal playstyle for this champ is an assassin meant for suprising any squishy target, capturing them and returning the target to your allied champions killing him. A very strong lock down assassin, who is countered by immobilizing abilities and wards. Plus it would be hella scary to be walked past the tri bush by baron behind the wall with a sweeper activated and see a giant spider like mangled red figure on the wall before he leaps to you grabbing you and dragging you back to the baron pit with his team. Ive always loved the idea of a robot with very strange distorted movements. Am i the only one whos heart races when thinking about a rusty metal robot with saw blades protruding out of his chest getting faster and faster before stuffing you into his chest and cutting you up before releasing you into the entire enemy team?

Sorry for lack of information this is my first time i just thought it was a great idea, if anyone is good at drawing I would love to see my idea come to life of a mangled robot that can climb on walls like a spider and shred people. Feedback is much appreciated :D

Last I checked Blitzcrank was the first autonomous robot in Zaun; there isn't enough time for there to be another derelict murderbot of his caliber. Also, is the name a FNAF 2 reference, or just coincidental?

Passive: Sounds like the passive effect on Aurelion Sol's E or Dead Man's Plate. Not sure if he should just have a crap movement speed to begin with but stack a significant flat bonus with his passive, or perhaps if he just has a percentile penalty to his max movement speed, but stacking his passive undoes the penalty and then starts overflowing into a buff.

Q: Bleed, slow, and mark... for what? I get the concept behind it (and to that end feel it should have a considerable cooldown) but could you elaborate on what exactly "mark" is supposed to imply?

W: This sounds like something between Tryndamere's W and Fiddlesticks' Q. Not really sure what else to say.

E: Ok now I'm confused. Does this basically let you hide atop terrain to let you jump an approaching enemy, something like Talon's Parkour except you can stop halfway over and change direction if you like?

I feel like this needs some sort of limitations or else it could be abused. Cooldowns aside, maybe you can only jump down within a wide cone on the opposite side of the terrain you jumped up from, and/or only be invisible/untargetable if nobody sees you climb up, otherwise you are revealed on top of the terrain for all enemy champions and susceptible to ranged autos or AOE's that pass through terrain.

Ult: I notice this tied to his E a lot... I feel like this should be something like Yasuo's ult in that it can be activated at any time on a target suffering from a CC effect or debuff that both he and/or allies could have inflicted. And maybe have it inflict Fear on other enemies in a wide radius if it kills its victim and spits out the corpse.

Overall not a bad idea, just suffers from the usual pitfalls of a champ built more around a thematic concept than a mechanical concept. Lore also needs some tweaking too; I would suggest diving into the Universe page to learn more about Zaun for ideas.

Maybe it's less of a robot and more a haunted pile of scrap and parts possessed by the vengeful spirit of a victim of the Chembarons- no wait crap then it really would be something straight outta FNAF.
