BeatzBoyFTW2 votesI'm very sure the ability is COMPLETELY replaced. If Blitz's Q becomes a Fizz's Q, then Blitz's Q will function normally like what Fizz's Q would be, in terms of damage & cooldown.
Also, I'm also quite sure that each champion can only get one ultimate that is keyed to their R button.

It could be fun but I think it would require a lot of work and balance from Riot, I don't see it becoming reality any soon. Unfortunately.
LongHair Fox1 votesNow if you look closely in the teaser you can see blitz q particles behind the jinx rocket, this means two things: first blitz has an ult on his q effectively having two ultimate abilities, secondly that their original ability still remains, albeit it is heavily obscured in case of skill shots.
As far as I know there was only released a single video an april the first regarding this so unless you have some reliable info then your "very sure" is from bad sources or from assuming things based on incomplete data which we should have learned not to do after the "no mans space failure".

So yes, they had to re-use their original animation to make life easier. And no, that Blitz's Q thing is just pure animation, nothing gameplay-ish at all.

My question in this case would have been why has blitz ult not been replaced by jinx ult? It still seems to me that he has two ultimates.
