Champion Concept: Lazarus the Defender Against The Void

Just to clarify, this concept isn't based, inspired, or anything off of kai'sa. This is a Character concept I made on 2013 and I made a post of it on my old account however the post for some reason got deleted.

Design: Lazarus is a tall, slim white male with fluffy but dirty black hair, because of void energy his hair has a tint of purple aswell as his eyes. His left cheek is broken off an corroded by void energy and in filled with spiky thorn like void crystals. His right arm is also highly corroded and distorted. Lazarus has a symbiotic void suit which is an intelligent Voidborne similar to vel'koz however is mentally deranged, the suit is a dark grey with slits of purple, with a higher amount of it on his right arm covering his corruption, however the void energy still seeps through and glows. His mouth when covered by the symbiote is similar to the mask of zoom from The Flash tv show with a parallelogram like openings for the eyes glowing with energy, the suit also has thorn like spikes coming out of the body, Lazarus also has a large thorn vine that is over his right shoulder. The Suit's name is Tho'Cas and is able to communicate with Lazarus through a form a telepathy due to them being combined at a cellular level and would have similar interactions with how kayn and rhaast are however Lazarus and Tho'Cas are allies. Both are curious characters with Tho'Cas asking about runeterra and Lazarus asking about the void (way for us to learn about the void from a friendly void creature)

Abilities: Lazarus is a bruiser like mage with short range and loves long fights and enemies that cant burst him down, most likely played top lane. He has medium ranged auto attacks (was stated as short thresh autos but now it can be compared to rakan) The first Lazarus set is this Passive: Symbiote skin Lazarus' abilities grant him a shield depending on percentage of damage done (minions give less).

Q: Vine Strikes This ability was a multi activated ability like riven's q, there are five parts in total (this got reworked on second version to be better). First swing is from left to right in a semi circle pushing enemies slightly to the right and damaging, the next sweeps enemies to the left and damages, the third slams vines in front of lazarus slowing enemies and damaging, the 4th lifts up the vines knocking up enemies, and the last slams the vine down again and stunning and dealing high damage. DealS extra damage and longer stun duration to airborne enemies.

W: Vine Shot Lazarus fire a large vine from over his shoulder with extremely high range and speed, the width is very small. If an enemy minion or monster is hit it does extra damage, if a champion is hit they take damage depending on the projectiles range and are slowed, if they were hit after one half of its total range they are instead stunned.

E: Rain of Thorns Lazarus plants himself on the ground and then starts having 6 normal vines and 2 large vines erupt from his back, they attack all nearby enemies until the ability is cancelled or Lazarus is hit with hard cc, the 6 normal vines deal small damage and target random targets while the 2 large vines focus champions, deal more damage, and shred magic resist. If the large vines are attacking the same target the second deals slightly reduced damage, however the normal vines dont deal reduced damage.

R: Wrath of Tho'Cas Lazarus shoots out a rectangle of vines (Sion q like range but much thinner), stunning all enemies in the rectangle, after a small period the vine on Lazarus' back grows and stabs through all enemies dealing massive damage, Lazarus cant use abilities or move while in this period however he gains a base shield when he activates it.

The Second Lazarus Concept

Abilities: Passive: Symbiotic Skin (was originally living weapon but changed it back cause of Kai'sa) Similar to old version however with differences for balance, minions and monsters give lazarus a smaller shield that decays slowly, damaging a champion grants a large shield however a portion of the damage you deal stays as a shield until it is broken while the remainder slowly decay (say you dealt 100 dmg and the scaling was 10% of damage and 20% decay, you would have a 30 health shield that would shrink to 10 but if you werent damaged again the shield would remain there), there in no maximum to decaying shield however there is one for the remaining shield, this maximum scales with ap, and bonus health. Lazarus also now has claws, so attacks at close range deal extra magic damage and give shield, middle range remains the same by hitting enemy with a vine, and he also has a larger range auto attack that deals reduced damage but shoots out a small thorn that deals a split of magic and physical damage

Q: Vine Strikes Lazarus jumps into the air (still is targetable). Sweeping the ground around him in a circle two times dealing damage, the speed of the swings scales with level and apply a mark of volatile cuts. And after the two sweeps Lazarus slams down his vines onto the ground and slowing and damaging enemies hit, if an enemy hit has two stacks volatile cuts they are dealt bonus damage and briefly stunned, if they only have one they are dealt extra damage and slow. Lazarus can move around by propelling himself with the vines, while channeling he can direct where the final part of the ability will go by either re activating q in the direction, or if q is not pressed again, wherever the cursor is aiming the vines when they begin to slam.

W: Piercing Thorn Lazarus shoots out a thin projectile similar to the previous w however it is shorter range (level 1 kog ult i guess), the projectile doesnt pass through minions or monsters and will only do increased damage if it does, if it comes in contact to a champion it will pierce through them before latching itself onto them, dealing damage and granting vision, if Lazarus reactivates W he pulls on the vine and throws them behind him dealing damage in an aoe around them (its like a longer range blitz pull that's stronger, however it is much harder to hit being like a jhin w with less range and a cast time), if lazarus right clicks the enemy hit with the thorn (or waits until the duration ends after a few seconds), the thorn violently rips itself out of the target, dealing heavy damage, slightly pulling them towards you (similar to singed e range), and dealing a heavy slow (example 99% for 1.5 seconds at max rank)

E: Thorns from below: Lazarus plants himself on the ground, sticking his hand into it and sending vines into the ground, this is a channeled ability that lasts until cancelled or interrupted. On the players cursor will be a large circle on the ground dealing continuous damage as vines stab enemies standing inside of it and granting lazarus vision in the circle, this ability has decent range and good damage with shredding mr as long as they keep standing in it, however the circle only moves slowly towards the cursor and leaves lazarus open to attack, its a good way to finish off a enemy that is running away or to help deal damage to an enemy over a wall who is attacking an ally. Combod well with Rlyais.

R: Wrath of Tho'Cas There are two version of this ability that could take up its place, the old R and a new one. I couldnt decide between the two and am likely going to add something for the third and possibly final version that I will be releasing later, the new version is. Tho'Cas becomes full of energy causing Lazarus to gain attack speed, increase the claws bonus damage, and anshield upon activation, however it also removes the other forms of basic attacks besides the claws. This ability will probably have a long duration similar to new swains ult.

The Q is now shorter range for the sweeps and ends in a leap towards the cursor dealing aoe damage

The W empowers Lazarus' next auto attack causing it to gain extra range, attack twice, and make Lazarus jump to the target, cooldown is greatly decreased while in ult (4-6 seconds),

The E causes Lazarus to not be able to attack for 0.5-1 seconds, while in this state Lazarus becomes unstoppable, after the state ends Lazarus stomps the ground causing large spikes to erupt around him in a circle, dealing damage, lowering some mr, and slowing.

Ending: This may not be the most balanced kit as I made the first one in 2014 and the second in either 2015 or 2016 while I was still relatively bad at the game. On my third version I will try to make him more balanced. Lazarus has a large story however because this post is already long enough I will be posting it with the 3rd version.
