Most of them do, crocs are the most comfortable thing to wear on your feet since sliced bread. In fact, medical school practice is a lot of sleep-deprived zombie-students just hanging around in crocs pretending to do medicine.

Plus you can clean rubber shoes more easily. Being a doctor can be messy, so it's important to have shoes that are easily sanitized.

That kinda defeats the purpose, no? I mean, who cares about dirty footwear if half the stuff's poured on your feet anyways? You can sanitize the footwear, but you can't have the best of both worlds.

Unless I'm not remembering correctly, haven't seen crocs in real life for at least 10 years.

As a medicine student barely starting to experience the agony (4th year of 6, this is the year of "Start applying what you know, AKA nothing") I can confirm our sad reality...

Also, anything is sleep clothes, and any surface is a bed

Ya I found this out too because I saw the shen skin and googled it. Obviously they don't wear ones with holes, for cleanliness sake, but i guess doctors have to be comfy.

Can confirm, I work in hospitals on a near daily basis and if they arent wearing the thick white ugly nurse-type shoes then they are wearing crocs.

Crocs in a hospital isnt uncommon. Comfortable, and if you want to get some blood off, you easily can. Then you get new crocs shortly afterwards, and back to getting blood on them.
