Champion Concept: Miyoshi (AD Assassin)

Hey all, This was a champion concept that I took the time to work on, mostly for the fun of it. Being an assassin main, I felt there was a bit of a lack of full AD assassin characters in League. Maybe some of the ideas for this champion could be incorporated into the game at some point? Lemme know what you guys think. (I originally posted this about a year ago, so this is the updated version with some lore)

Miyoshi, the Bladed Whip

Description:

Miyoshi is a mid to low range assassin, dealing high amounts of damage with her spells and autoattacks. If she gets a hold of you, you won’t be returning in one piece.

Lore:

Miyoshi Itami was born into a loving family in the city of Piltover. Her mother and father took care of Miyoshi and her two twin sisters. At least, that’s what Miyoshi can remember…

Miyoshi was kidnapped as a young girl when her family’s house was robbed in the dead of night. Her captors were merciless, and had her chained to the floor of her cell. She was fed scraps for over a decade, with her hands shackled in front of her. She would scream and scream for help, and no one would ever come.

Miyoshi was a strong girl, but even she lost hope after so many years. So, rather than waste what little energy she had on crying for help, she vowed to herself that, one day, she would give her captors what they utterly deserved.

After 15 years of near isolation and starvation, Miyoshi had mustered up the power to fight back. When these evil men least expected it, she broke free of her rusted chains and used them to whip, mame, torture, and kill the people who had ruined her entire life. However, she was still unsatisfied...

She has become hellbent on finding whoever was the source of all of her pain. She quickly upgraded from her rusted chains, and she now uses bladed whips to accomplish her goals. To this day, Miyoshi and her whips wander the alleys of Piltover in search for who was really behind her imprisonment. And those unfortunate enough to cross her path do not live long enough to ask for forgiveness...

Base Stats:

Health: 543 Health Regen: 7.2-18.4 Resource: Fury Range: 375 Attack Damage: 52-110 Attack Speed: 0.613+(0%-32%) Armor: 25.7-86.9 Magic Resistance: 31.3-52.9 Movement Speed: 340

Champion Abilities:

(Passive) Spirit of the Whip: Miyoshi’s spirit essence allows her to bypass the use of mana, and instead fueling herself with rage. She channels the damage dealt by her enemies around her, allowing her to gain increasing amounts of Fury in her Fury bar. The amount gained increases the closer she is to her enemies. When Miyoshi strikes an enemy champion, she consumes 25 Fury and deals (20+5 per level)+(0.3 bonus AD) additional physical damage to the target. This ability also has a 4/3/2/1 second cooldown, scaling with ranks in her ultimate.

Max range: 1750 (gaining 2 fury every time an enemy champion strikes a minion or neutral monster, and triple when damaging champions) Max bonus Fury range: 1000 (gains 5 fury every time an enemy champion strikes a minion or neutral monster, and triple when damaging champions)

(Note: Miyoshi does NOT lose Fury when out of combat. Additionally, the ranges indicated above are the only two ranges necessary, so there does not need to be some sort of “average” range)

(Note: If Miyoshi damages an area, only the closest enemy champion OR the champion currently being targeted will receive the bonus damage from Spirit of the Whip)

(Q) Laceration: Miyoshi empowers her next two autoattacks with her inner rage. She gains 125 increased range, 25% increased attack speed, and deals 40/70/100/130/160+(50% bonus AD) bonus physical damage for those two attacks. Additionally, the attacks will sweep in a cone in front of her, doing 50% of that damage to all other nearby enemies.(Note: Both of these attacks will count as one damaging spell, and therefore each attack will gain the bonus from Spirit of the Whip before the passive goes on cooldown, and will also only consume 25 Fury. This bonus, however, does not apply to the area of effect damage, and only to the champion being hit if the champion is the target) Cooldown: 14/12/10/8/6 Total Range: 500 (Note: This ability resets Miyoshi’s autoattack timer)

(W) Slashing Sprint: (Passive): Miyoshi’s autoattacks and damaging abilities wound her targets, apply a small bleed that deals 20/30/40/50/60+(10% bonus AD)+(50% AP) physical damage over the next 3 seconds.This effect can stack up to 2 times. (Active): Miyoshi leaps a short distance, using her whips to thrust her forward in target direction. As she dashes, she deals damage in an area around her, dealing 60/70/80/90/100+(0.1 bonus AD) physical damage and slowing all enemies hit by 15% for 1.5 seconds. If Miyoshi damages an enemy champion that dies within the next 3 seconds, Slashing Dash’s cooldown gets reduced by 8 seconds (Note: Can travel through terrain) Cooldown: 12 Range of Dash: 375 Range of Damage AOE: 200 radius circle

(E) Whiplash: Miyoshi extends her whips in target direction. If they hit an enemy, Miyoshi reveals and latches onto them and deals 80/90/100/110/120+(0.5 bonus AD)+(0.4 AP) physical damage. Immediately after, Miyoshi rapidly flies to the target. Once she reaches the destination, she collides with the enemy, briefly displacing them (Note: similar to Quinn E effect), and deals 1/1.5/2/2.5/3%+(1% per 100 AD)(200 maximum vs minions and monsters) of the target’s current health. She then lands 100 units behind the target. (Note: This ability can travel to targets through walls, but the secondary vault cannot launch Miyoshi over terrain. Only the initial dash can pass terrain) Cooldown: 18/17/16/15/14 Range: 900

(R) Violent Assault: Miyoshi fuels her whips with intense rage, lashing out three swift strikes in front of her. Each strike goes a slightly different direction (see image for reference), but in front of her, the strikes overlap one another. Each swing does 100/200/300+(1.5 bonus AD) physical damage. (Note: damage does NOT get reduced when an enemy is hit by multiple strikes, and instead, stacks. However, spell effects are reduced by 50% for each additional strike on the target, down to a minimum of 25% effectiveness) Range of each strike: 500 Range of overlap: 200

Heya there, you've got a great original concept going on.

I would like to add something from my perspective. I feel her Q is a bit lackluster as in it is mainly a 2 AA enhancer and doesn't do much except giving free damage.

To go along your concept of fury, I would like to give a suggestion to make her second AA enhancer more rewarding. The second AA could activate only if she hits a champion with her first AA enhancer and when she has over half a fury bar. Additional effect: Her whip slowly constrict the ennemy champion, slowing them by 20%, and, if the ennemy champion doesn't move away from her empowered AA range after 2.5 seconds (tethered to her à la Kled Q), she can activate her second AA enhancer for 1.5 damage of the initial AA enhancer (if first AA crits for 200 then second AA will do 300 plus having a chance to crit as well).
