samurai battou by mycks-d32hn2t

Hey guys, I feel that the league is need need of a pretty badass Samurai. Sure we have Master Yi and even have Yasuo, but neither of them "feel" right. So, this is my first try at a champion so bear with me as I make blunders with damage and such like that (Balance was never my strong suit) so if the damages seem to be OP then please do say so, but try not to actually go "This champion would NEVER be accepted since it is SOOOO broken with the damage like that!" blah, blah, blah. Instead, just state it and even fix it if you want, but the general idea is to give you the thought and look at the characters abilities and what I would like them to do even if the damage is OP since I'm basing this stuff on the top of my head and just guessing. It may seem impractical with the precentages and such, but just ignore them and focus on the actual abilities and purpose then.

Thank you so much for reading this and giving it some thought. I think it would be amazing ^^ Let me know your thoughts and opinions and this might actually be accepted! :O It would be crazy if it was. The link is in reference to how I imagine my character to look save for minor color differences (See Appearance below). So, enjoy! ^^ If I missed anything at all let me know.

Background: Kenjin was an honorable and loyal samurai to his lord. Trained from birth to be the best swordsman in the land. Given two Katana in which to do this with. He was completely devoted to his lord, but one day he found corruption with his lord. Allowing enemies, bandits, thieves, outlaws, and slavers to have their way in the land of his lord.

Beset with grief and anger he suppressed his thoughts and emotions. Unable to accept the truth of his lord. One day word reached him that his home village had been attacked and everyone was killed or taken prisoner. With his lord doing nothing to prevent this or stop it he could no longer stand by. He headed to his lords main hall and confronted him.

"As his right hand and guardian I shall steer him in the path of righteousness and purity. To protect and help those in his lands. Should he ever stray it is my duty to show him the light or strike him down where he stands." The words echoed in his head. The words he took upon his naming day as he was made his lords protector. The lord laughed in his face at his stupidity and simply dismissed the attack on his village and said he would do nothing. He then ordered Kenjin to death.

Assaulted by intense grief, betrayal, and growing hatred something inside him broke and a calm overcame him. His intense emotions disappeared and with it did his loyalty to his lord. Try as they might the guards fell before Kenjin, unable to stop him or touch him as he danced among them. His swords to his lords throat he pleaded with him, but Kenjin heard none of it and ended his lords life. Now an outcast and on the run Kenjin has nowhere to go and no lord to serve.

Kenjin wanders the lands and joined the League of Legends to find information on who attacked his village and brought corruption to his lord. Gold for expenses, practice for his skills, and possibly to find a place for him in this world.

Appearance: Kenjin has long dirty blonde hair tied back in a ponytail with two strands falling along side his face over his eyes (Like Jin from Samurai Champloo, but Dirty Blonde instead of Black). He wears traditional Samurai armor save for the helmet which he never wears (See link) that is pure black and silver. He has a scar over his right eye. His eye color is pure silver with specks of gold. He stands about 5' 7" with an average to slim build.

Passive Kenjin has learned the art of Bushido. Given his Katana at a young age he has perfected their art. Able to enhance his swords as he uses them. He starts the game "Kenjin's Katana." for 1000 gold he can upgrade them.

Kenjin's Katana: Grants Kenjin +3 Attack Damage per lvl, 15% attack speed Kenjin's tempered Katana: Grants Kenjin +4 Attack Damage per lvl, 20 Attack Damage, 20% attack speed, 10% lifesteal, and 100 Health. Kenjin's Dragon Katana: Grants Kenjin +5 Attack Damage per lvl, 40 Attack Damage, 25% attack speed, 15% Lifesteal, 10 and 200 health. Kenjin's Ultimate Katana: Grants Kenjin +6 Attack Damage per lvl, 60 Attack Damage, 30% attack speed, 20% lifesteal, and 300 Health.

[Q] Eternal End: Kenjin Dashes towards the target dealing damage. Enemies in the path of Kenjin are also hit as he dashes between them to his target. Each target hit charges Kenjin up to a maximum of 10 stacks. Once reaching the target the charges enhance his attacking dealing Bonus damage. Applies on hit effects.

Damage: 20/30/50/80/120 (+100% AD) Bonus Damage: 5/10/15/20/25 (Per enemy hit.) Cooldown: 20s

[W] Sentinel/Avenger : Passive: Builds stacks for each enemy champion attack that hits up to a max of 10 stacks. For each stack Kenjin gains bonus magic and physical defenses as well as bonus health regen. Allied champions near Kenjin gain a percentage of the defenses.

Active: Kenjin unleashes his fury. Knocking back all nearby enemies and damaging them. Gaining bonus movement speed, attack damage and speed for a certain amount of time.

Magic Defense: 1/2/3/5/7 (Per stack. Each nearby allied champion gains 50% of this effect) Physical Defense: 1/2/3/5/7 (Per stack. Each nearby allied champion gains 50% of this effect) Health Regen: 1/1.5/2/2.5/3

Knockback damage: 10/15/20/25/30 +30% AD (Per stack. 30% AD bonus is not per stack) Movement speed: 2% per stack. Attack Damage: 10/15/20/30/40 per stack +50% AD Attack Speed: 2% per stack Duration: 5s/10s/15s/20s/30s

Cooldown: 30s. Does not gain passive while ability is cooling down.

[E] True Shot of Bushido: Passive: Each attack that Kenjin lands on an enemy or attack that lands on Kenjin charges Kenjins will. Each attack landed or taken reduces Kenjin's cooldowns by 2s.

Active: Kenjin stabs his swords into the ground on either side of him, knocking back all enemies around him. Kneeling on one knee he moves his hands to form ancient symbols. Summoning a magic circle between the blades and loosens a bolt of pure will at all enemies in front of him. He does this extremely quickly, stabbing the ground and kneeling at the same time then casting before standing back up with his swords.

Damage: 20/30/50/70/100 (+70% AD) Will: 100/200/300/400/500 (Each attack hit or taken gives 25 will to Kenjin) Will consumption: When True Shot of Bushido is cast all will is depleted. For each bar used True Shot of Bushido does bonus true damage. Will True Bonus Damage: 20/30/40/50/70 per bar consumed +10% AD per bar. Each non full bar still adds to the damage. Ex. 325 will at lvl 3 would do 120 bonus true damage +1/4 of 40 for 10 damage for a total of 130 +10% AD. So it'd only do 1/4, 2/4, and 3/4 damage for not full bars depending on where it was, but just for that bar.

Cooldown: 30s. Does gain charges of will while cooling down.

[R] Shi no Ken: Kenjin's ultimate ability. Running at high speeds to target location he is untargetable during Shi no Ken and passes through units. Upon reaching his opponent he slices them 3 times with insane speed and knocks back any enemies near his target dealing damage to them. Afterwards he gains bonus movement speed for a few seconds. These attacks apply on hit effects.

Damage: 125/200/275 (+70% AD) Bonus damage:

I know you said balance wasn't your strong suit, but this is beyond imbalanced

Just a few things that might help

Passive: Rework completely. This gives him incredible sustain in lane, as it is better than item 1055 and item 1056 passives combined. Also giving him a jinx Q steriod won't help.

Q: Make it physical damage. Having that much true damage means that he won't need any penetration items, and can blow you up with 500AD builds.

W: This makes him incredibly tanky even if it was just a passive. This is basically a Graves passive that provides extra def to your team. Even if he does get caught, the active provides peel, which means he basically doesn't have to worry about positioning. He basically just has to auto-W to instantly escape from any gank.

E: This actually seems all right.

R: This is some twisted combination of MasterYi q and ult, Yasuo ult, Vi ult, and Zed ult. All were, at one point, one of the most hated champions in the game. I can foresee a lot of rage over this. Rework is probably in order.

WAIT NVM COOLDOWNS ARE EXCEPTIONALLY LONG Ok, now this champ just went from OP to useless. This is a melee champion I assume, and if there's one thing we know about melee champions, it's that they are useless if they don't have a way to gapclose. Also, who wants 30 second + CDs on all abilities?

One more thing, if I literally can't do anything except autoattack, I don't feel very samurai-like.

I recommend drastically reducing the power of the abilities, then making the cooldowns reasonable.

Cool idea though, but I feel that kind of character is already in the game.

I edited some things and changed the passive. It is sorta like Viktors. I'm not sure how well I did, but the concept is what I'm seeing what people like ^_^ Do enjoy!
